Title: Your browser?
Post by: AquaTeamV3 on October 09, 2009, 03:17:45 PM
Just curious, what browser is everyone here using? I was a devoted Firefox user until recently; 3.5 seems slow sometimes and takes a rather large chunk of time to open. I've been using Opera for the last couple of weeks and I'm really amazed. Opens in seconds, lightning fast, and has most of the features FFox had. Speed Dial is pretty nice as well.

What she said, pretty much.

Though I'll tack on Safari for when I'm at work, since we use Macs.

What's most important is that I can see which browser everyone is using!   8)

I don't use a browser.  I manually suck the internet directly out of my ethernet cable.

Oh you.

I use Firefox. I have 5.0
It works just fine for me. Doesnt seem to have any of the issues people seem to complain about recently.

Really? That's a pretty cool feature.

I still use IE 7. I might make the switch if it gets worse (Browser locks up from time to time, and loading times vary).

I used Firefox. Why? Cause it's a lot better than Internet Explore. =3

Firefox.

Although it still has issues with federal sites and certain kickass audio-recording toolbars.

At least you don't do it for money.

I use Firefox 3.5, it's the fastest version I've used yet.
Even after loaded with NoScript, Ghostery, TACO, WOT, and AdBlock Plus.
Among other plugins I've installed.

Plus I have a matching set of Mozilla apps.
FireFox and Thunderbird. 8D

Opera for forums, Chrome for webcomics
Other things are mixed between them. Considering switching entirely to Chrome, but...

Opera.
I was using Firefox but I decided to switch when it started to eat RAM like hungry Cookie Monster.

FireFox. Works for my purposes.

My purposes are ANYTHING THAT ISN'T IE! And I chose FireFox.

I use Firefox 3.5, since it still seems faster than IE8. Although I have nothing against the other browsers, I just have a lot of add-ons for FF. ;P

Some of the computers I use at school are old shitty macs, so I use IE on those as well (They're OS 8 or something...)

BTW, anyone who uses Opera should try mouse gestures (http://help.opera.com/Windows/10.00/en/mouse.html).  It takes some getting used to, but it makes browsing rather interesting.

I was addicted to an old Firefox 2.0 mouse gestures add-on, kinda like FireGestures now. It was very useful, but since there was a gap between decent add-ons for that stuff I quit the habit and besides my mouse now has extra buttons used to go back and forward
