I'm NOT messing with this guy, period. And it was a Katana blade (one of the types of swords that are several ft. long and are used by samuarais, generally speaking the kind of sword). >.>;

I am. If you angle it at around 30-40 degrees vertically, you can easily slash the neck and the hand in a single motion, which are what the article describes were the burglar's wounds. Thus one strike, two hits.

A katana is a useful weapon to have in case of a robbery, but most people grab what they can get, so a katana was a surprising weapon to use in a robery. Lol im guessing that he was practicing his moves for red steel 2 and wii sports resort?

I heard this story last Monday on my local news. The details they gave were that the burglar's hand was lopped off and he was slashed and died at the scene.
Makes me want some live metal even more. For protection of course.

That already happened some years ago in my country. Some FFVIII obsessed emo kid with Squall's hairdo killed his parents with a katana (no it didn't have a gun attached). It gave gamers quite a bad reputation for a while.
