Title: Strange MMSF3 Glitch
Post by: The Great Gonzo on July 22, 2009, 08:11:01 PM
I should've mentioned this earlier (it's been about a week since I beat the game).

After unfreezing the Wizard in the stunt car, I transed out (no walking involved, just straight trans-out if I remember correctly). This very ominous, scary music began playing--it wasn't the Noised Area tune or any of the game's standard "danger" music. It continued playing even during virus battles, and only stopped when I trans-outed again--at which point everything went back to normal.

I dunno if what I heard was unused music, or if it was just a music-corrupting glitch, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

That's the Omega Boss music. If you hear it, the next WARNING battle you face in that area will be against an Omega Version of a Boss. Not really a glitch.

Ah. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yeah, early in the game, that music means RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.

Boy was it fun to run into Club Strong Omega while trying to infiltrate Dealer.

Later in the game, that music means a fun boss fight's about to go down.

yeah, I can't wait to fight Spade Magnes Omega :D I've fought his v3 and R forms so many times, farming for cards, I know his entire pattern inside and out.

also you can try Omega versions very early in the game as they don't give you a GAME OVER if you loose

...though it's a little likely you'll get your face pounded into the ground if you encounter the likes of Wolf Woods or Jack Corvus in Omega form. 8D

I'm pretty sure facing them would make you lose your will to live in that game XD

Isn't there a trick where you just run back and forth between two wave points or whatever and wait for the music to play or something?

Something like that. I tried to do that but got bored.

Ah. Can ANY Omega boss show up in any area? I heard something that contradicted the point earlier and it got me thinking. Can you also fight the omega boss' more than once?

Can't tell you. I've only fought three of them, though they didn't repeat. I imagine they do after a bit. There's something like eight of them.

ah. Well, once I get all of the stars, I'll give'em a beat down. Though, getting the AJ star seems hard since I heard too many people have started DCing in WiFi. I might have to get AR just to input the friggin' code for them DX

There's an omega version for everyone that doesn't have something else after R besides Sirius and Apolo.

Also, Pringer, if anything DCers make things faster.

I didn't have the patience to fight 20 battles, so I hacked the fight for Dread Joker RR.The plus side is I also hacked the music so it was the Final Boss theme, making the battle much more epic. I also did this for the three sigma bosses and for RogueZZ, before the official way to unlock him was revealed.

That final boss music makes everything so much more awesome.

I heard if someone DC's, it resets your count.

As long as you don't go back to the menu screen it won't.

I encountered Club Strong Omega. Tried running, couldn't, hadn't saved in a while, so I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Then I was annihilated and had 1 HP left. Also, I hate Wolf Woods (all versions). So far, I beat him with 1 HP left every time. (Thank you Undershirt!)
