let me direct you guys to the wiki article for Masked Rider, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masked_Rider_(TV_series)) the first time Kamen Rider was brought overseas. read it and you'll want to throw up. if only for Ferbus alone.
i seriously doubt this new American Kamen Rider would have anything nearly as atrocious as Ferbus.

Why are you guys angry? Power Rangers series stopped being bad around the time "Time Force" kicked in. So this one can't be much worse than its original japanese counterpart.

I guess it's because their favorite Japanese kid's show is just so amazingly brilliant that PR cheapens it by not being as great as the original.

I've actually watched an episode of this, and I can say it's not bad. It's better than the Masked Rider attempt by far, and it watchable for the most part. I actually like it better than any of the new Power Rangers. It's also directed by the guy who directed Guyver. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Wang (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Wang) I stopped watching anything on Saturday mornings, though, so I really don't care. :/

I stopped watching Saturday morning cartoons long before that, but I was under the impression that 4Kids took over both Fox's AND WB/CW's Saturday morning cartoon blocks.
I can't say that I really care for the show in the first place, I never heard of it until a couple years ago, and as much as I hate 4Kids NOW, I can't really despise them. They got me attracted to anime, and if it wasn't for them, I technically wouldn't be as much of an anime fan as I am now, and the same probably holds true with a lot of other people that are getting into anime nowadays. Granted what they're doing is a joke compared to their former selves, my outlook on them still stands.

Bonus points if it has cool main villains who do not look retarded.

Stephen Lunsford, the actor who portrays the titular character in Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight, confirmed on his Twitter account on Friday that 4Kids Entertainment and The CW have canceled the show as of December 26. Episode 38 out of 40 of the series will air on that Saturday. It is not yet known whether the last two episodes will be posted on the 4kidstv.com website. Co-executive producer Steve Wang noted on his Facebook page, "that's not to say it won't pop up on a different network in the future."
This live-action special-effects series is the latest reincarnation of Shotaro Ishinomori's Kamen Rider action manga about super-powered heroes who protect humanity. The series originated as Kamen Rider Ryuki, which ran in Japan from 2002 to 2003. The regular series of the English-language version, which is being refilmed and produced in the United States, launched on January 3 of this year.
D3Publisher just released a Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight video game for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS consoles on November 17.
The only other U.S. adaptation of the Kamen Rider series was Saban's Masked Rider, which was loosely based on the Kamen Rider BLACK RX series. It aired in 1995 but was also canceled after only one season.

Well, that was disappointing. Can't believe that 4Kids have to cancelled the show. This is also the reason why I hate 4Kids because they kept canceling the good shows (yet the dubbing sucks), including Tokyo Mew Mew (or Mew Mew Power) OR leaving the shows on-hold. Way to go, 4Kids, you just lost your another series. -AC

Tch! This goes FAR beyond Kamen Rider. It's just the last straw on the camel's back. English dubbing of Japanese shows in general must be stopped, or, at least, changed for the better. And the only people with the power to do so are the fans who are crazy enough to declare and wage war on the various companies that dub anime.

Well, it's not game dubbing I have a problem with (well, the games that sound like nobody was even trying I dislike). My main problem is with the people that write the translated script, and periodically with the directing, specifically when they put unnecesary(sp?) flashbacks in for viewers who are too stupid to keep up with what's going on without flashbacks. The biggest examply of this? The Funimation dub of Dragonball GT, where they took the entire first half of the series and turned it into "Lost Episodes" so they could skip to Beibi(sp?).

Actually, I have no problem with Zero's current voice actor. He made Zero's voice way too sexy. <3
