News and Announcements / Re: Mega Man 11 OFFICIAL TRAILER Announcement
« on: December 05, 2017, 07:34:54 AM »
Just coming by to say I'm both super happy and excited MM11 is now a real, official thing. And the art/graphics style looks super fun~

I feel like I'm in 2008 again, back when MM9 was announced.

Sounds very interesting! I'll be looking forward to seeing what this all leads to. 8)

Time to bring this place out of retirement.

Here's some of my 2014-2015 art, all of characters from Aozora's Adventure.

Also some attempts at spriting Mega Man-esque sprites.

The one on the top is that Sata character that I was once drawing artwork of but didn't bother finishing, and the bottom is the main character from Speedy/Sonic Dragon on the Super A'Can.

Tomodachi Life.
Because pretending you're playing a crossover game where anime characters live together on a small island never gets old. -u-'

Original / Re: Megaman/Rockman Classic Weapon Fusions

Here's my idea for merging Pharaoh and Toad Man's powers.

Summons a giant monster toad from the depths of Egypt to unleash the world's most heavy rainstorm.

Metal Blades and Leaf Shield = Salad Launcher

Using blades to mix leaves, Rock creates 100% organic salad, approaching the Robot Masters to promote a healthier, more sexually active lifestyle.

...Wait, Rock! No! That's not how you market a better lifestyle! X(

Original / Megaman/Rockman Classic Weapon Fusions
« on: April 27, 2014, 11:16:08 PM »
I haven't seen any topic(s) like this on the forum, so I felt like giving it a shot.

Basically, you take two weapons from the canon Mega Man series (1-10, &Bass, and V) and you fuse them into a new weapon that combines the powers and abilities of the two fused weapons. It's very much like Kirby 64, but in Mega Man form.

So go ahead and get creative with your ideas!

Welp, the funds sure are going in like wildfire.

10
Oh god, count me into playing this when it comes out. 8)

11
Sadly I'm not into Virtual Console these days, mostly because of the concept of emulation. X(
Though I did get an actual MMII cart a few months ago.

A new post on the erka:es site is showing screens of a very early build of the original game, showing a different logo. The screens posted are so incredibly tiny I can't make out what's featured. :\

There's also a Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel [Я05] disc containing the development history of Freudenstachel. From what I hear it will be distributed along with copies of the two games at the next Comiket. So of anyone's going this August, make sure you pick up a disc.

Downloaded and spent a bit of time with it. I noticed it does the same "throw one steep difficulty curve midway through the level" gimmick as RM9, but it has a lot of good ideas for levels and enemies I either haven't seen in a fan-game or haven't been used often.

I also swear the game erased my save data at one point, I collected 48 screws, saved then quit out of the game; said save's no longer there.  8U

I also have to say I agree with Joseph Collins on the way Light and Wily are drawn in the intro. While the color choices aren't bad, the faces are a bit on the awkward angle.

But overall I'm enjoying this game.

Mega Man's Christmas Carol 2. Uncertain if it was brought up already, but it's a Christmas-themed RockMan fangame with only bosses. I Buster-only'd all the main bosses (only used one E-Tank on Ignorance) on Normal difficulty.

Fan Games / Re: Megaman vs Street Fighter Fangame

I do have to say, I think the Street Fighter characters could've looked less like edits of Mega Man especially with the face, like how Bass was done in RM7FC.

Shocked to hear there's no way of saving, especially after the days of 9 and 10.

A few days ago I did have a bit of trouble logging into the forums due to the site transfer, but everything's all good now.

For anyone looking for a challenge, there's a new version of RKSF that depletes your starting Health to one point, and you can't increase it in any way. Checkpoints and 1UPS are much less scarce, though.

You can get it here: http://kurotama.sakura.ne.jp/diary/index.html Just place the exe into the same folder as the standard Freudenstachel and you're all set!

This is primarily a "What if" situation where Rockman World 5 doesn't have have the Stardroids but instead kept the original gimmick from past titles of reusing eight Masters, four each from two different Rockman titles.

I tried to pick the Masters in such a way that you wouldn't get two weapons with near-identical purposes (i.e. Plant Barrier & Junk Shield), or two simultaneous Masters that represented the same element (Wind, Electric, Fire, etc.)

Halo 4.

Am I the only one that sees the Incineration Cannon as being a good weapon in the Rockman games? ::)

Oh jeez I haven't seen this thread in like almost 2 years, the improvement you've done compared to the first post is absolutely amazing.

The one on the far right looks very good and I think you got the proportions on the far left right.  The woman is very muscular though her head looks very tiny and the shoulders looks too broad from what I see.  For all 3 of them however I think you need to define your noses a little better though I don't know how exactly with that style.

Keep in mind though I'm not a artist, so I might not see things others would see but to me they look very nice.

Thanks for your opinion. Pleased to see my art still growing.  :3

For my next art I'll consider working on the noses more in detail. The center and left characters pictured above are meant to be muscular cyborg war machines for a new series I'm starting called "WARMAN" (which isn't connected to Rockman in any form despite both titles ending in "Man" and the main focus being on robots). There will be 10 of these, the ones pictured above are models 10 (left) and 7 (center), and the series as a whole will be much darker in tone than Aozora's Adventure. For the curious, the one on the right is an Aozora's Adventure character, Keanu, whom at the moment I'm writing this, his design is roughly more than a year old.

This next thing I'm going to display is more of just a (rather large) experimental image, which I tend to do a lot of in my spare time. I took every possible color of the NES/Famicom's color palette (as they display in NEStopia and excluding black) and created a chart showing every color combination applied onto Rockman. So for anyone interested in viewing it, here's the link: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?ry5xyqlks6tqvh4 I warn you though, it's quite a big image. 8U

Rockman Series / Re: Video Game music that sounds like Mega Man

Pretty awesome for a pirate. What are the games called? I wish to search

Shi Kong Xing Shou, and Shui Hu Shen Shou. The former is in my eyes the more popular one, but the later is more accurate to the Pokemon games and has a higher difficulty.

Not sure on this one (or if it counts), but there are these two bootleg Game Boy Color Pokemon clones made by a company known as Vast Fame that use the same sound engine as Mega Man V/Rockman World 5.

Here's one of it's battle themes.
