News and Announcements / Re: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom
« on: October 29, 2010, 07:01:02 PM »
What worries me is what will become of the Mega Man classic series that's been revitalized as of late?  Without Inafune around, who knows what will happen.  Still, Inafune leaving CAPCOM is like losing a friend, it's going to hurt for a while after hearing the bad news.  Perhaps he may end up making a new independent game company, or perhaps work with Platinum Games; that's where some of CAPCOM's staff work now.

Long live Mega Man.

I forgot to say this before as well, but I also plan to make the entire album's packaging artwork, so that if you all want the actual packaging, you can get it printed and cased if you desire to do so.  So yeah, we're going to have a booklet with all the info on the album in it, inlay art, the side tabs, the back for the jewel case, everything.

This is going to blow up to huge proportions when it's done.

EDIT:  Also, I made a second variation of the cover.  I wanted it also to look like MM and PM were in a dark room with nothing but the lights from computer screens being lit.  So I guess at this point, we can turn this into a poll, and see which of the two covers will make the cut.

Heh, and man oh man guys, the front cover for this album is looking MORE and MORE amazing than I imagined it would be.  You are all in for an impressive treat.

Feast your eyes on this.

From the lack of attention both here and the FamiTracker thread, it might be a good idea if everyone made a second remix of something they like, that way the album goes to 18 tracks.

The first thing that came to my head was Mega Square Wave.  When one comes off the tongue, more are to follow.

Here's others that I just thought of:

MiCROCHiP Tunes
Tachyon Remixatron 2.0
R.A.M. (Rockman Arranged Mixes)

The sooner we get more remixers and final decisions, the sooner I can pencil and finalize the album's artwork.  Honestly, I want to get this thing done ASAP, I want this to look incredible soon!

Wow, that SMB1 engine is really looking close to official!

With a name like Mega Man Universe, I'm thinking it might be a crossover fighting game that has all the characters from all the Mega Man series' (classic, X, Zero, ZX, EXE, and Dash) jam-packed together to make many different types of fights and matches.  If that were the case, that'd be incredibly colossal.  But you can't hope for everything.

I can't help but speculate, but are these new screenshots telling us that the game is nearly done?

I have to agree with Kudos on this.  I don't see how a word such as Sundae can lead to anything suggestive.  And yes, I find Cream to be way dodgier in comparison.

Dude.. your, letter sprites.. they're like one pixel bigger in terms of space between each letter.  Skim your kerning some on them, then those would look a lot better.

Not bad on the newest mugshot screen you made.  Though I find it to be better if you put the bosses names underneath the images.

Hopefully now we'll get some good progress reports, because I felt kind of left in the dust not hearing much happening.

Then again, wouldn't it be best if Mega Man Unlimited stayed as a .EXE file instead of a .SWF?

well, it's fully done now!

Personally, the skull needs a little more attention and the lines on the building are too thick.  You need to thin them.  Other than that, it's great!

Might I suggest an outer space-related woman?

Perhaps Neutron Woman might work?

Being that KudosForce recommended me to lend my ideas to the plate, here's what I have to offer:

Perhaps you can start off by having Roll shopping in an outlet center.. different slides will show her trying on clothes and paying at the counter.. then, DISASTER STRIKES!  So, she leaves hastily, and gets into her Mega Girl Roll outfit, and jets away to the destruction.. then the Title Screen.

Once you load the Stage Select Screen, she'll be in the middle with both her eyes open and a cute smile, then she winks whenever you pick a Robot Master.  Have a cute tune for the Stage Start animation if possible.

As for the main villain/Dr. Wily sect, I can't think of anything.

As for the ending, have her back in the outlet mall buying more clothes, and then she happily skips to the horizon with a sunset.

Well, that's my take.

Oh I forgot to add that this is where I got my idea from.  HKLurch can use this as well.

I just made a concept piece of Gamble Man's stage background.  Have a look-see!
