For me, it's all the new terminology. Back when I did stuff in Garrysmod, it was client, server, shared. That's it.
Now it's like TCP/UDP, packet loss, header, socket, IPv4, IPv6, etc.
Not to mention the five quadrillion DLLs for multiplayer.
