Title: RIP Shin-chan's creator, Yoshito Usui (1958-2009)

I seriously, seriously hope it's not actually him, but he's been missing since Friday in the area that the body was found, and that's just to big to be a coincidence  :'(

RIP if it's him, and if it's not, well, RIP anyways, that's an awful way to go.

Update: it seems it was him. He was identified by dental records and family members.
That's terrible. Like Taiyo said. That's a terrible way to go.

Wow, I can't believe the manga artist was murdered, and this was the first Manga artist to be killed. This is just sad. (Yet, I watch Shin-Chan on Adult Swim, but I don't watch it much). Rest in Peace Usui.

It was never ruled a murder Girla. The person who saw his remains noted that it looked more like he fell. And it's possible. Accidents do happen. :P

Beh, either that or something may have happened to him.

Yeah, but at least he died while doing something he liked. But damn, looking at pictures of the place I really hope he didn't fall from the top.

Requiescat in Pace, indeed. As Flame said, it was earlier today confirmed that it was indeed him.

First Actors and comedians, and now Manga/anime artists? this is terrible.

Man I hope he didn't fall from there, because that would really suck.  It's seems to me the only explanion for his death unless it was, as Girla said, a murder but that is highly unlikely.

First Actors and comedians, and now Manga/anime artists? this is terrible.

Don't jinx it Flame =(
Even so, this is very very weird.

Bad news. Crayon Shin-chan was a really big hit in some places here in the early 2000s, so it was a well known show. Now it's going to be kinda awkward when I see it on TV.

Yet, I watch Shin-Chan on Adult Swim, but I don't watch it much.
And I heard Adult Swim just lost the rights to show Shin Chan last month!  How disgraceful!

When I first heard of this I was a bit sad. Sure, I knew nothing about the guy, but I loved Shin-chan(even if it was the censored and changed version).
May he RIP.

I agree, while the [as] version was definetly not the original (Seemed to me like a reverse 4Kids, make a childrens show adult.) Was still funny. This news is kinda depressing....

I don't know if the [as] version is the same as the version I watched at night on "Jetix", but still I know it was different than the original.

Still, yeah. It is kind of depressing.
