Original / Megaman 10 - Attack Plan from Outer Space!
« on: February 28, 2010, 04:29:37 AM »
Also, post what you think the weakness cycle will be.

Sheep > Pump > Solar > Chill > Nitro > Strike > Blade > Commando > Sheep

or

Sheep > Commando > Chill > Solar > Nitro > Pump > Blade > Strike > Sheep

I just see Thunder Wool tearing through the Water Shield. And I think the spikes left behind by Chill Spike were meant for Nitro Man's tires. Riding up the wall with Wheel Cutter makes it almost impossible to guess, and I have no idea what Triple Blade's supposed to beat.

Challenge Mode / Kirby Superstar Ultra: True Arena, NGNPNH
« on: January 03, 2010, 05:55:48 AM »
Having officially completed the challenge, at long last, I can say with 100% certainty that this is doable, and I know all the boss strategies.

The Challenge:

A game of Kirby Superstar Ultra's (NDS) game mode "True Arena" where:
~You may not use powers
~You may not guard
~You may not have or in any way use a Helper
~You CAN use the provided Tomatoes for life up

In essence, you're playing True Arena as if you were playing Kirby's Dream Land.

Are you pink enough for this challenge?

Gaming / Dante's Inferno
« on: December 20, 2009, 01:17:33 AM »
WOOO! Now that's what I'm talking about!

The Dante's Inferno demo is great! There is still a strategy, and it's not Triangle, Square, Square, Square, Triangle, recite the Constitution, Triangle, Square.

You distance yourself from the enemy. You use the right attack that doesn't set you up to get wailed on by the next swarm of damned. And you have to know when to guard; you're a human, you can't just block a big-arse monster foot slamming down on you or hope to survive an elemental attack!

This I might actually get! And though it'll probably be a horrid retelling of the Divine Comedy itself (not like any of the details except now-ancient political figure stabs and literary allusions mattered, anyway), the fact that you're trudging through Hell might actually justify a 20-minute stage of walking rather than some castle (DMC) or a bunch of generic overworld (Bayonetta).

Thoughts!

I'd like to see Bowser go back to being SMB3 badass again. Skulls, military equipment, laser statues, hand of doom, heck yeah! /wii

Gaming / Best Video Game music composer?
« on: October 03, 2009, 05:52:15 AM »
So, who's the best composer?

And I left out Jun Ishikawa (Kirby) and Jun Senoue (new Sonic), because their best songs are only in one style in their respective series.
Feel free to vote anyone, though.

Ippo's in there because there may be the same construction, but Ippo can still utilize different genres, tempos, and atmospheres, not to mention a great lack of Mega Man NES song-specific composer credit.

EDIT: Personal shout out to Makoto Tomozawa for Mega Man X, but at the end of the day, I'm going to have to give my vote to Kondo. Uematsu has FF7, and that's a whole lotta points, but Kondo speaks music as a second-language, not just matching moods to music.

Wait wait wait wait wait. I keep going to the grocery store, but the closest I get to mango juice is Mike's Hard Mango Punch.

I haven't even had breakfast, and that ain't right.

Any constructive tips?

EXE / Digital Analogies
« on: July 11, 2009, 01:17:49 AM »
Ahhh! All this talk about an MMBN1 remake has gotten me interested in the series again! In fact, I'm sitting here thinking about all the technologies and internet-related tools that were transformed into some sort of contributing plot device in these games, and even conjuring up some new ones! But, as usual, I can't remember all of it by myself, so let's try and list most, if not all, of them. And let's skip the basic stuff like Home Pages, Passwords, remote operation of processes (i.e. the oven fire or wild tree growth), Viruses, and Programs.

MMBN1:
~.BAT or Batch files
~Gendered programs
~Battery power
~Independent program (A.I.)

MMBN2:
~Data Encryption
~BBS (Bulletin Board Systems)
~Style Change (yes, that is actually an official term, very strange)
~Mother computers
~Electronic Funds Transfer
~Server clusters
~Radiation
~Bugs (or glitches)
~Multiple-Bug program (Gospel)

MMBN3:
~Neural electron manipulation
~Program and/or OS customization (NaviCust)
~Hardware modification
~Compression
~Prototype Internet
~Direct biological internet access
~Private or Darknet servers (Secret Area, not the always-accessible Undernet)
~Program fusion (BassGS)

MMBN4:
~Malicious software
~Synchronized operation
~Wireless transmission
~Alien technology

MMBN5:
~Gateways (or whatever the Elemental Gates were supposed to be...)
~Neural electron networking
~Topographical snapshots (Tadashi's VisionBursts)

MMBN6:
~Search Engine
~Androids (Copybots)
~Cached data (i.e. Bass being able to pull Gregar/Falzar's data post-game)

MMisc.:
~Deleted data
~Backup
~Firewall
~Trojan Horse

New or Barely Used:
~Registry Keys
~Archived websites (could be 'time traveling' with a broader scope)
~Offsite data backup
~Streaming and buffering data (???)
~Multiple instances of an open program (i.e. 2 Megaman.EXE running around, etc.)
~Spyware and Cookies (and by Cookies, I mean :cookie:, great humor potential)
~Blogs
~Privacy, Piracy, and other Ethics issues
~Domain Name Servers (Megaman thinks he's going into one area, winds up in another)

So what else am I missing besides remote-control bears and Princess Pride in a swimsuit?

That's right, the humble little block dropping game designed by Alexey Pajitnov and originally made for an IBM system turns 25, meaning it has enough years to clear the Tetris B mode! The points? It has scored 125 million copies sold, not including numerous knock-offs.

Here's the Chicago Tribune's news story.
And here's the Wikipedia, which answers the question, "Can you play one game of Tetris forever?"

Funny how it's also D-Day. The day when the I-block landed on the far right shore causing four lines to disappear Allied troops made their crucial landings in Normandy to turn the tide of WWII.

At any rate, for those of you who fondly remember this game or maybe even cut your gaming teeth on it, celebrate it! Me, I've actually got my old Game Boy here at the house, so I'll play it for a while.
I fixed it and gave it to my mom (she loves Tetris) for her's and my stepdad's first anniversary as a way of saying "No hard feelings."
And another thing. We're going to start seeing a lot of 25th's here, soon. Mario's will be next year, seeing as Super Mario Bros. 1 was released in Japan on September 13, 1985 (granted, that's not Mario's first appearance, but it's certainly the one everyone remembers him by.)

Got Tetris? Post it here!

*kickstarts his Koopa Klown Kar*

One bright, breezy day in the RPM Kingdom…

But then…

What’s this?! The terrible at old games Aldo has kidnapped Princess Vixy! Oh, who will save her?!

So begins…

That’s right, let’s kick this RPM Birthday off with a new RP! And to make things easier, you can either follow the script with characters spanning from a short time to lengthy adventurers, or make a PLOT TWEEST! and spin this baby right round the way you want. Here's the script. Also, needs more subtitle. But first, gotta have our characters, though:

Stand-Ins

Bowser: Aldo
Princess Peach: Princess Vixy
The Real Mario: Akira (played by PB or Akira himself)
Mallow: Taiyo
Geno: Sakura
Toad: Afro-Shroom
?????
Jonathan "Johnny" Jones: RMZX.EXE
Axem Red: Pringer X
Rosalina: Aldo
…and more!...

Original RPM Cast
White-Jet: Ryuta - Mysterious Observer
SoulAnimal: Aldo's Ghastly Castle Guardian, Soul Boo
StrangeMan: StrangeMan
Gaia: Gaia the Terrapin
Blackhook: Blackhook the Magikoopa
Flame: Flame
?????

Now somebody just try and save Princess Vixy if you can!

BWA HA HA HA HA HA!

Link to the Princess Vixy pic,
and thanks to Akira for the color samples!

BUT SHE’S MINE! I think…
Also, zoom in a bit, and you can see more of the details: ribbons, cat ears, bracelets, etc.

Gaming / Can't let you do that, Dylan Cuthbert!

http://kotaku.com/5198261/star-fox-creator-wont-do-a-barrel-roll-on-wii

'He also says Star Fox fans like furries.'
"The Wii is a bit more of a toy, I think."

Oh no he didn't. Oh. NO. HE. DIDN'T.

Star Fox and Starfox 64 were among the greatest games to grace their respective consoles. I don't know what the heck he's thinking making those statements when he's actually spot-on on a few other key concepts that have destroyed the Star Fox franchise, like:

'Wiimote control also doesn't appeal to him...'
"Whenever I speak to Miyamoto about Star Fox, he says it's not meant to be just a flying, sci-fi shooting game. It's meant to be anything we want to think up. But the core fans don't want that(...)"

Look, I'm not going to lie to you guys or Cuthbert or anyone else, for that matter; there are rabid fans of the Star Fox franchise that do like anthropomorphic content far more than the average person. But to stereotype and dismiss a series on the basis of fandom like that is exactly the thing that kills the fun and revenue in a lot of great series (including, Final Fantasy VII).

Thoughts, people. Especially about a lack of Starfox Wii now for AT LEAST 2 years, probably more. If ever.
Me? I'm seething just a little.

Gaming / Console and Handheld Redesigns
« on: March 29, 2009, 05:31:08 AM »
Well, sit back, because redesigns are the newest ride that the Big 3 want to seem to take us on. Not that this is anything new, mind you; even the Game Boy had its Pocket and Color renditions, but now even consoles are getting the same treatment, what with the different GB sizes and functionalities of PS3 and XBox360 models. Of course some consumers do like the upgrades, and less demanding buyers like having fewer bells and whistles for fewer $$$'s.

The one big thing I did like about Sega is that they attempted to only make add-ons to systems so that you wouldn't have to buy completely new consoles, and backwards compatibility would not be an issue. These became bulky, though, and the prices of the upgrades were often bad-mouthed (especially the Sega CD; it didn't even seem to improve the graphics a great deal, and that probably hurt the 32X's consumer perception that much more).

So what's your take on redesigns?

Off The Wall / Stuff that makes you think "Crossover!"
« on: February 07, 2009, 06:23:57 AM »
No matter what the source, there are probably phrases or concepts in various forms of literature or story that seems like they could overlap. Superheroes, for instance; that's how we got Marvel Vs. Capcom! Or how some forensic/medicine T.V. shows are starting to overlap a little.

Post scenarios that make you think a crossover between two series' would work! Any show, game, book, whatever!

Washu, the "greatest genius in the universe", helped create the ultimate lifeform, I bet.
And Ryoko's a Space Pirate? Doesn't Samus Aran fight Space Pirates? What if there was a mix-up?

Fan Creations / HyperSonic.EXE's Flashy Neuron-Firings
« on: January 01, 2009, 04:19:58 AM »
I love to hear Remixed and Rearranged songs, but then it bugs me when they stray too far from the original song, especially in the name of "art" or "validation of the artist".

Sure, you add measures and melodies to existing music, but do they really fit?
Some people are good at it; <a href="http://blue-bomber.jvmwriter.org/media/music/Fan/U-GEN/U-GEN%20-%20Rockman%20X5%20~X%20vs%20ZERO~.mp3">U-GEN's remix of the X VS. Zero Battle in Megaman X5</a> gave the song more length while the melodies still contributed to the overall tone and pacing of a rather delicate piece.
But then sometimes, these songs should just be left as is.

That said, <a href="http://rapidshare.com/files/162627498/mm9astgamemixes.zip.html">I've got my own ideas</a> as to how a few of the Mega Man 9 Arrangements should have been treated. This has looping tracks of "Magma Burning" and "Wily Machine" that more closely match the in-game track. Be sure to support III, Inticreates, and Capcom in their endeavors.

Like I say, I'm always finding songs that need this treatment, so I'm going to leave this thread open for as long as I can; it's not everyday I have the time or will to crack open Audacity and rearrange songs.

Posted on: November 10, 2008, 09:28:02 PM
Mmmhmm, well, now that I have a tablet and Audacity, looks like I'll be doing quite a few things.

Besides the card game, I've also been toying with what certain songs sound like in reverse. Very few sound all that good (obviously), but there have been one or two shockers. Case in point, Comet Observatory from Super Mario Galaxy actually sounds like it could be a workable song in reverse. Now cleaning it up to make it sound like a new, valid song would take quite a bit of doing, but here's a clip of it anyway:

Gaming / Super Smash Brothers...Card Game?
« on: December 26, 2008, 06:47:21 AM »
That's correct. Based on that poll I made, which topped out at 28 votes, I have chosen 6 (technically 7) of RPM's favorite SSBB characters. Granted that SSB is a Nintendo ordeal, I really only thought it fair that Mario made the first round. The others, though, were based on the poll's stats. So, without further adieu:

Super Smash Brothers Card Game
Rules
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
1 Coin (You may use more than one.)
1 Character Card
1 Final Smash Card
60-Card Deck:
-Red Attack cards are limited to 10 per deck.
-All other cards are limited to 4 per deck unless otherwise stated.

HOW TO PLAY
Like most card games, the Super Smash Bros. card game follows some same basic rules, however, in this game, most cards do not have any requirements whatsoever, and both players must play cards at the same time. Both players may agree upon a number of HP, but the standard number is 150. You may want to use a calculator or writing utensils to keep track of your progress.
Set your Character Card(s) and Final Smash Card(s) to the side. If you have more than one Character Card for your deck (i.e. Samus and Zero Suit Samus OR Zelda and Sheik), you may choose either set to start play then switch as play allows you to do so. Shuffle your 60-Card Deck, then draw 5 cards. This is your Hand. After you have done this, you are ready to start play, which takes the form of 5 “Phases” of play:
1. Draw Phase
At the beginning of each turn, there is a Draw Phase where both players draw 1 extra card to place in their respective hands. Some cards will have “Effect” text, and if it says to perform an action like “At the beginning of ___ turn”, you perform it before the Draw Phase. Beware of Effect text as you may even have to skip your Draw Phase or may even draw extra cards!

2. Play Phase
After both players have drawn, both players play 1 card from their hand at the same time. Note that it must be done at the same time; this is a crucial mechanic to the fast-paced and unpredictable nature of this card game. Again, be sure to look at the Effect text of your cards; some cards may make you skip your play phase, have an Effect that carries over from a previous turn, and more.

3. Cancel Phase
This is a very tricky phase, but each card that is designed is carefully worded to ensure that as little confusion as possible occurs. During this phase, there are some cards with Effect text that will “Cancel” the other player’s card, usually based on the Type of card(s) played or the Value of the opposing card. Like play, the cancellations occur at the same time. So, for instance, if you play a card that cancels your opponent’s card based on its Value (in the lower left corner of every card), but your opponent has a card that will cancel yours based on its Type (on the bottom of the card), both cards are Cancelled, and neither player will experience Effects or take damage based on the cards played that turn.
~~~NOTE~~~ There are some cards that will modify the Value of your played cards; unless otherwise stated, these cards only increase the Value of your card for the next phase, the Damage Phase.
~~~NOTE~~~ Some cards may have no Value or Question Marks. In the next phase, Question Marked cards have a null value, and are NOT 0. They are non-numerical, and yield no damage.
~~~NOTE~~~ Some cards, like “Smash Ball”, cannot be Canceled no matter what the Effect Text is. If both cards ‘can not be cancelled’ and attempt to cancel each other, neither card is cancelled; the “can not” phrase takes priority
4. Damage Phase
During this phase, there is a specific order of calculation and play to follow, and it is this:
Effect Check (“At the beginning of the Damage Phase”, etc.)
Damage Calculation – At this point, add up the Value on your played card, then,
Effect Check (“During the Damage Phase”, Increase/Decrease the Value of ____ card by, etc.)
Give/Take Damage – After you have obtained a “total” amount of damage, you and your opponent will gain or lose HP based on how you each played. You may not even lose any HP!
Effect Check (“At the end of the Damage Phase”, etc.)
~~~NOTE~~~ Check back for any rulings clarifications that may be necessary.
~~~NOTE~~~ Many cards will say “Your opponent loses ___ HP”; these Effects are immediate and do not factor in to damage or the calculation thereof. You and your opponent simply deduct the appropriate number either at the end of the Play Phase or when the card states otherwise.
5. End Phase
The End Phase is the formal settling of a turn. Effects with the text “At the end of ___ turn” will occur at this point. This is also an important phase, because this phase determines who wins the game. If any of the following conditions are met, the game ends:
     a. When a player’s HP is reduced to 0, their opponent wins.
     b. When a player has no more cards to draw, their opponent wins.
     c. If a player forfeits, the opponent wins.
Expert Advice:
-Remember, you can’t play your Final Smash card whenever you want; you must fulfill the requirements of the “Smash Ball” card. You also can’t play your Character Card, but the Effect listed on it applies to every turn. Think of it as your character’s upper hand in a fight!
-Look carefully at Effect text; you may be able to increase the damage you deal multiple times.
-Try to read your opponent’s strategy and figure out what they’ll do next. Recall that the Attack cards cancel each other in a “Rock-Paper-Scissors” fashion: Standard > Smash > Strong > Standard.
-Lastly, you can even play a 30-Card Deck game involving only the Attack cards. Both players can even agree to “House Rules” like “No Items”, but these are not acceptable in Tournament Play.
You'll recall I said I like taking Snapshots? Well, I meant it. And thanks to that Bin2Jpg program, I can do all sorts of neat stuff with them like this little project. When my hard drive crashed, I lost all my cards that I had made up. Fortunately, I still had a few hard copies left from my free time last year.
So yeah, this is a year-and-a-half in the making, really. I was working on this when Sakurai started updating the Brawl website. One (or two, sometimes) cards a day. Carefully counterbalanced to where as few rulings hi-jinx occurred as possible. There are, of course, some things that you just can't replicate in card form like distance, certainly the number of K.O.s (though I suppose you could keep playing as such in continuous 150 HP spurts), knockback, hitboxes, all of these things. But at the same time, Brawl wasn't completely balanced, though nicely done given the series' track record. Hopefully the next installment will see Chainthrowing and the Sonic, Metaknight, and I think Snake infinite loops removed.
Main thing is, enjoy, they're PNG files, they're presized, ready to print on card stock, few to no requirements to play the cards, it's just a simple fun little game that hopefully manages to eliminate such things as "metagames" (i.e. Yata-Garasu Lock in the old Yu-Gi-Oh!) by making both people play at the same time.
As far as playing over the internet, you could use IM or Chat clients, but the REAL fun is in playing this person-to-person.
We'll see where she goes. Feel free to make the decks as you like; my last post is just suggested setups, or, Starter Decks.
EDIT: Oh yeah, let's see if I can guess who likes what characters:
PB: Toon Link
CephiYumi: Zero Suit Samus
Vixy: Sonic, maybe? Marth or Ike? I don't even know who you voted.
Myself: I'm actually picking out Mario.
Jericho: Marth, I'll bet, and I wouldn't be surprised if you spammed Counter, here. XD
Akamaru: ...uhhh, I dunno. Marth or Ike?
Gaming / About Club Nintendo
« on: December 16, 2008, 04:39:58 AM »
DON'T REGISTER YET
But aside from that, you may be curious, what IS Club Nintendo?
For the United States and select other regions that have not had it before, it's a Loyalty program based on product registrations that offers you cold, hard gifts for your Nintendo purchases.
Now according to all the wording that has popped up in the preliminary site, it looks like there may be some kind of retro-activity with Wii and DS game registrations that will occur. For now, though, they're definitely not ready, and even when I registered a few minutes ago, it didn't show anything registered (even though I linked it to my My Nintendo account which has, like, 50-75+ registrations, though not all DS or Wii).
So don't sign up just yet, but soon, Nintendo should make an official announcement and you can save up for some neat prizes.
Gaming / Who are some of your favorite Brawlers? (2 Week Time Limit)
« on: December 14, 2008, 06:21:15 AM »
In this thread, I wanna know/make you choose, who are your favorite four (4) Super Smash Bros. Brawl characters?
They can be the best, they can be the worst.
You don't have to main them, they don't even have to be "top tier".
You may like them for the games they're in, you may like them for their appearance or qualities in this game, etc.
Pick four, and you can change your vote.
But I'm limiting the time to 2 weeks.
Rockman Series / Underrated BGMs and Songs
« on: December 12, 2008, 04:13:14 AM »
Yeah, we all know the "favorites" of the series like the MM2 Wily Stage 1 or MMX1 Intro Stage, but what about your favorite unsung song?
Well post it here, and we'll laugh at you discuss what makes a song our favorite, even though others may hardly even remember it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzGPj_vpclE&feature=related&fmt=18
I've gotta say that MM4's Wily Stage 2 creates a nice sense of urgency with just a hint of the unknown. You really can feel like you're traveling down (sometimes literally) those corridors trying to find Dr. Wily, your nemesis whom you assumed had bought the farm last time.
Biographies, novels, artbooks, cookbooks, even comics, anything goes except for Manga:
That's a whole other subforum.
Whipper snappers don't even want to use their own subforum, grumble grumble. :P
What Women Want Men To Know - Barbara DeAngelis
The Perfect Drink For Every Occasion - Duane Swierczynski
The Monopoly Companion - Philip Orbanes
Psychological Nudity - Michael Savage
The Friars' Club Encyclopedia of Jokes - H. Aaron Cohl, Various Authors
Also, are books solely for nerds? I'd certainly think not. And while I wouldn't say it's exactly the mark of the intellect, I think a fair-sized library on special topics is healthy new information for the mind when the internet just can't seem to condense it into one easy place or one specific piece of information is too hard to find.
Original / Mega Man 9 > Mega Man 1-6
« on: December 05, 2008, 03:37:59 AM »
Hazards are actually avoidable the first time through instead of relying on memorization, meaning the developers actually took the time to consider human reaction times.
There are no enemies like the Hoppers in Shadow Man's stage. They're large enough for you to actually shoot. There are the floating tops, but those can be shot down. Only other troublesome enemies I can think of are the scissors and the flowerpots, but you generally have some way of dealing with them.
This game's large Jumper enemies can be shot down in a reasonable amount of time. For that matter, most enemies don't require you to spam the 2 button (okay, depends on your layout) like you're shivering to keep from getting damaged, which is really just a waste of everyone's time rather than a supposed show of skill.
The weapons are actually useful.
The bosses follow logical movement patterns, and Magma Man's "random" jump element can be worked around instead of "dealt with" like you would have to Pharaoh Man, Shadow Man, Flash Man, or Quick Man.
Stage puzzles are over with fairly quickly compared to previous puzzles in the series.
The graphics are fine (considering), the music is great overall, and the controls are fluid.
Mega Man 9 is, in every way, a better game than its 8-Bit counterparts. Kudos to the developers.
Agree? Or disagree?
I know this is a risky topic, but after having toyed around with MMAC just now, I think this needs to be said.
And if you think this topic is risky, ask me what I think about Megaman Legends or Chrono Trigger.
Now, we'd all probably be wise in chalking the results of this year's "Final Fantasy VII-Powered GameFAQs Poll of Populism" as dorkiness in its purest and possibly crystallized form, but the current winner-so-far brings up a good question. With Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass both seeing only room-temperature sales compared to other DS and Wii must-haves, where does the LoZ series stand when so many people seem to love it and know it?
Is it forever fated to be a singluar piece of nostalgia, due to its fantasy medieval setting and trademark past games? And possibly its linear progression?
Could the series take off and surpass its contemporary IPs if the gameplay formula ever hits the direct bullseye (whether it needs to be changed up or not is arguable)?
Or is it just another Nintendo property, like many perceive Starfox and Metroid to be (certainly when compared to Mario)?
Zero / This series' Zero is Zero.EXE!
« on: November 18, 2008, 03:10:35 AM »
That Zero sure is comfortable in Cyberspace, eh? Yeah, and with that E-Reader card, the enemies of Megaman Zero 3 become Virii from the Megaman Battle Network series. And then suddenly the Z-Saber chip changes into the MMZ Zero... ...coincidence? No. I believe that Copy Zero is Zero.EXE, who mysteriously vanishes after his initial appearance. The Internet has warped reality in very strange ways in the MMBN series; I'm sure crossing over between MMBN and MMZ is no more of a stretch than MMBN and MMSF.
But why have a "weaker" Zero fight?
That's because this is all a convoluted plot on the part of none other than the perverted Megaman X to off his long-time rival-in-flirting! X knows that Zero's own worst enemy is himself, so he waited for two rounds of long-haired, blonde, and ambiguous sword wielders (Elpizo and Omega) to get the better of this Copy Zero and destroy X's main body! In this way, X no longer has to fight! Weil was eventually the one to destroy Copy Zero...
But no, it doesn't stop there! X also knows that Ciel would inevitably try to find a way to revive him and Zero. Change a few of Ciel's data files here and there, and suddenly, X can be revived in the form of a Biometal, allowing him to choose the girl of his choice, rather than limiting him to a few Navigators that are insane in the membrane!
Lo and behold, X finds Aile through the news of the Maverick attacks! Notice how much she likes "Rocking On" (yes, he's that dastardly). And then, when Zero (as Model Z) tries to muscle in on his find, X takes advantage of Zero's naivete, something X was once criticized for, and tricks Zero into "sacrificing himself" (see: kicking out the roommate)!
So centuries' worth of planning, just to find the finest girl ever! Who would be so genius, so much of a devious mastermind, to plot such a venture? Why does a reploid care about the physical attributes of a human girl he doesn't even know?
Well, if you believe what you've heard about him, Dr. Light is more than he seems.
Original / Bubble Lead, or Bubble Lead?
Why would it be "Lead, to direct"? That makes absolutely no sense, other than describing how it works, but it's not grammatically correct like every other weapon.
Gaming / Wireless Wii Classic Controller by Nyko
Here's the main things you need to know:
~Recognized as a Classic Controller, not Gamecube
~Connects to one of your Wiimotes via the bottom port (Nunchuks, Wii MotionPlus, etc.)
~Uses AAA Batteries (even rechargeables, including a MiniUSB port for recharging them)
Now see, THIS is what I was looking forward to when I got the ThrustMaster, but that controller just wasn't working out. Yes, it also served as a Gamecube Controller, that's what it was recognized as, but the dongle became a flashing blue annoyance and it was NOT made for SSBB, at all. Even then, some Gamecube games controlled horribly due to the SNES layout of ABXY.
Thoughts on this? Looks pretty good, and the fact that it might actually put those USB ports on the back of the Wii to use is a plus.
Now I do have a Wavebird. Thing is...try using that to play Super Mario World. ...yeah.
Original / RM20 artbook, when?
« on: November 10, 2008, 12:44:36 AM »
Now waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait a minute~
My coffee table is still missing the third book. That book is the Megaman 20th Anniversary Artbook that Capcom's working on, abbreviated here as RM20. Has both Megaman and Megaman X art in it.
Has anyone been keeping up on its progress or when it's scheduled to be released?
Incidentally, it is possible that the book's page with that art of Rock in a capsule was in fact hinting at Mega Man 9.
