I wonder where does Wily get the money to build his robots and fortresses? Granted, they were filled with the latest tech but it must have been very expenive to create and build. Not to mention the time it must take to build them, Does Wily have a factory or something? What is his source of income for building all this stuff?

he probably gets his robots to rob banks here an there. and i'm sure he'd be on Medicare.

Practically his own swiss account' income, and while not in a world domination scheme; he goes treasure hunting revealed in Super Adventure Rockman.

Basically, he goes digging when not fighting Rockman. Then sells them at musems to get a blowout paycheck. Soon after, he runs contests once and awhile to further help his schemes.

I think sourcebooks said that Wily made Crystalman in order to finance his operations. And then there's Jewelman and Oilman to consider.

He also can reprogram robots to serve him, so it's not like he would have to build these things himself.

If you read the Megamixes (especially the one with Shadow Man in it) and take note of the Rockman 9 story, you can see that Wily does find robots, or at least parts of robots, and reprogram/rebuild them to make them his own servants/creations.

That saves money for Wily and it's good for the environment.

Hmm... That's the funny thing, because the joke in that video was that robots like CrystalMan and JewelMan are made out of those precious gems, so you would think that they would cost Wily a lot of money.

What bother me is mentions of Wily "buying" things like Parts for Clownman in 8. Isnt Wily a wanted criminal? how does he buy those things? Ebay?

Well, Jewel and Oil are stolen, so ... no money lost there, right? And, as for crystal ... well, all those robots make jems and crystals out of thin air, just like Metalman makes his blades out of thin air. So it's pure profit ... although it might be bad for the value of those things if they ever went into mass production.

Oh, and time ... Flashman, Brightman, and Timeman all influence time, so ... Wily probably has plenty of that.
