No matter what the source, there are probably phrases or concepts in various forms of literature or story that seems like they could overlap. Superheroes, for instance; that's how we got Marvel Vs. Capcom! Or how some forensic/medicine T.V. shows are starting to overlap a little.
Post scenarios that make you think a crossover between two series' would work! Any show, game, book, whatever!

Oh, several years ago, I came across a site that had profiles of Megaman, Protoman, X, and Zero written for the SW d6 RPG. Essentially, Megaman and Protoman were custom-built battle droids with synthskin on their faces, whereas X and Zero were human-replica droids (shortened to... Reploids).
Those profiles, I felt, fit rather well, seeing as how human-replica droids such as that hottie Guri that Xizor used as a toy quite a few times exists in the EU. So, combining MM and SW didn't seem to be that odd of a crossover.

I hadn't played that many fighting games but I had played some RPGs and Super Smash Bros. to know if there is a mixture of All Star characters from one franchise to another and blend it in a way that it becomes its own separate continuity, then you have a crossover.

I've seen Alien Xenomorphs in just about everything. Superman vs. The Aliens, Batman vs. The Aliens, WildC.A.T.S. vs. The Aliens... Xenomorph stats were written up for the SW d6 RPG, and thus they've made it onto Wookieepedia and in canon.
