A prequel to the Mana-Verse story line taking place thousands of years before it's events during the time of the ancient precursor civilization, after a devastating war between the Pandorians (precursors) and their sentient machines leaves all but one land mass untouched those not living on the floating cities must eek out a living on the surface where the forces of magic have been disrupted and monsters and berserk machines roam the landscape.

Players play as adventurers, brought together by random chance and unknowingly essential to saving this dying world. Thematically similar to Mana-verse but with a darker more atmospheric tone.

Lore

It is the 531st year of the Pandorian Empire, 257 years after the great magitech war that left all but the continent of Haven untouched, the majority of the Pandorian survivors take shelter in floating ark cites known as New Pandora and New Eden while those lesser on the food chain eek out a living across haven in it's various regions in settlements hoping to survive the rampant monsters and remaining berserk machines.

The Empire of Pandora

The greatest civilization of this era, forged from a settlement called Pandora on the largest landmass known as Haven; the empire grew from a mix of different races banding together to control the local monster population only for that union to endure and grow into a government of its own. Over time the Pandorian empire expanded and mastered both magic and technology creating magitech and extending their rule far beyond the confines of Haven.

Before the great war the Precursors had conquered the entire world save for a handful of smaller nations or species. However in the wake of the conflict's resolution the world and by extension the empire was devastated only a shadow of it's former glory, the vast majority of the population taking refuge in two floating city arks known as New-Pandora and New-Eden. The rest not rich or magically talented enough are forced to remain on the surface now lawless outside the various scattered settlements due to the lack of resources to maintain order outside the Arks.

The Great Magitech War

The greatest most devastating conflict in Imperial history, at the height of their golden age the empire used vast numbers of magitech constructs known as guardians-from cleaning to fighting the empire relied heavily on these intelligent machines to make their day to day lives easier and safer, this golden age however came to a violent end when the machines grew too intelligent and resenting their lot in life turned on their creators en mass leading to conflict so brutal that millions would die.

The Empire unable to effectively fight the machines as they relied on them for their military now and only had small number of living soldiers still in service were forced to rely on a deadly weapon known as the "Atomos" based on a demon from folklore the Atomos caused all mana within it's range to effectively become inert preventing the life giving magic from powering the machines--however it would also kill any organic life as well. With no choice and the two other landmasses of the world all but fallen to the machines the empire unleashed Atomos destroying vast swathes of their number----however Atomos ran unexpected wild when exposed to wind elemental mana and shifted like a storm across most of the world destroying entire continents and it's life giving mana.

Only stopped by a massive magictech barrier created by the empire was Haven spared from that fate--however the other two landmasses were left barren and are now known as "The Deadlands" The Empire would build two massive Ark cites to house most of their remaining populations and retreat into the sky hoping to restore the world to it's former glory.

Haven's Regions

Haven is split into five separate regions below are their names and as the RP continues any locations or settlements will be added to the list.

 --- Mor'Dall ---
Birth place of the empire, notable for it's lush green fields and hills and scattered forests. Once had multiple settlements but many were destroyed in the war leaving many ruins across the untended great road.

Pandora - The former capital of the Pandorian empire, over hundreds of years this settlement grew into a massive city and houses the largest number of people on Haven in one place, while the empire has mostly retreated from the surface the majority of their forces still defend this last Bastian of civilization although much of the lower city has become slum like in the wake of the empire's fall.

--- Faelands ---

The homeland of the various Fae races, surrounded by a circular forest enchanted by great magics preventing easy access by land with magic currents of wind preventing access by sky, while there is no general government of the Fae they have banded together to remain the one free land from the empire even in the wake of the war. While conflict between to two sides have long since ended relations are still considered cool as many mortals find Fae to be dangerous despite their playful natures. Despite this there are Fae who occasionally leave the Faelands and integrate with mortal cultures peacefully.

Midsummer - The closest thing to a Fae capital, when the empire attempted to invade the Fae land centuries ago the various tribes all banded together under a queen known as Titania who ruled from city during the conflict. While a mere figurehead in modern times Titania still governs the beautiful city woven into the great trees of the fairy forests and acts as mediator between her own peoples and the mortals beyond the forests. Few if any mortals have ever set foot willingly within these lands however.

--- The Jagged Peaks ---

A massive stretch of high peak mountains across much of the edge of Haven, granting a natural defense from sea attack to Mor'Dall the mountains are rich with ore and are home to the Dwarves who joined the empire after a short conflicts hundreds of years ago. Scattered Dwarven settlements stretch across the mountain ranges deep under them as well as on the surface. While the Dwarves remain imperial subjects the empire generally lacks the resources to enforce law upon them however relations still remain mostly warm. The lands surrounded the jagged peaks are generally more arid in nature with sparce farmable land leading to most dwarves preferring to live underground.

Great Rock - The last of the Dwarven great cities, and home of the current reigning royal family. The sprawling underground city coils through the mountain range and connects through the serpent road to other smaller deep settlements and mines. Unlike the empire the dwarves have not relied on Magitech guardians and prefer Golems as such their kingdom as not fallen into disuse like the lands above.

Little Twister - A small town boarding between The regions of Jagged Peaks and the Mor'Dall, the western themed train town was once a bustling hub of trade between the rail systems that at one point crossed the whole breath of Haven, nowadays much of the tracks beyond Little Twister remain in poor repair---leaving only the dwarven side of the railway operational, however trade between Mor'Dall and Great Rock and other small towns remain consistent.

--- Emerald Wetlands ---

A large swath of wetland covered in massive ancient trees, while fertile and overflowing with life and mana the wetlands are near impossible to build in due to the swamps and are mostly uninhabited outside the occasional intelligent monster tribe or Fae. However one notable curiosity does inhabit these untamed jungles an ancient city slowly being consumed by the swamp remains---and is an avid point of discussion for the scholars of the empire.

"The Mire" - A small settlement of beastmen (intelligent mostly non-aggressive monsters) who have come to live near the edges of the wetlands. Mostly a trading post with a shantytown built along it's edges they tend to welcome all outsiders as long as their coin is good.

Tall-Terra ruins - An ancient civilization built by a long dead race, little is known about this enigma of a city only that despite the primitive (Aztec like) design the Tall-Terrans were clearly a magically advanced culture with their stone work and golems surviving thousands of years after they vanished. However many scholars note that within a few hundred years these great stone structures will fully vanish as they sink below the swamp. Many adventurers travel to Tall-Terra in hope of striking it rich--only to never return as the guardians and traps still are very functional.

--- Mor'Fell ---

A former region of the empire found close to the great sea, once littered with farms and sea side towns it was also home to the former great city of Eden where a majority of sea side trade with the other continents occurred. However when the machines began their uprising Mor'Fall took the brunt of the conflict and was abandoned as the remaining armies battled on the fields beyond the city of Eden to prevent the spread into the homeland. Generally considered the most dangerous location in Haven due to the number of roaming guardians however the great road still remains the best method of by passing this old battlefield and reach Eden.

Eden - Second largest imperial city on Haven before the end of the war, the city was under heavy siege by the guardians and while it survived and remains a place of port for sea fairing trade much of it lies in ruins the empire lacking the resources to restore it. Crime and poverty run rampant and its considered a safe haven for pirates leaving the name to be someone ironically kept.

The Graveyard - The plains were the final battle of the war was fought, in the hours before Atomos was released on the world the armies of the empire and even the Fae banded together in a last desperate attempt to prevent the invasion of Haven, thousands died but the battle was won leaving a vast swath of these plains to covered in ruined machines with many of them still slightly functional but in disrepair. While some attempt to scavenge magitech parts most avoid this area via the great road as many guardians are still quite active despite their states of disrepair.

--- Scattered Islands ---

The Blue Isles - A chain of island-states ruled by a single Royal Family. Isolated enough to escape the brunt of the war, and with next-to-no magic being employed in its lands, the Isles are very much self-sufficient, with not much more than rudimentary trade and commerce with Eden, months from its shores. Indeed, the Isles have always been not much more than a small blip on a map - if included at all. Ironically, that worked to their advantage in the wake of the war.

--- The Dead Lands ---

A general catch all term for the two other continents of the world that fell victim to Atomos, their mana became stagnant and without the life giving substance flowing through them became unable to support life-the few that explore these regions describe it as if someone took the color from the world. While it is possible to enter the deadlands they have a negative effect on the body causing a slow stagnation of one's mana and leaving most machines unable to function at all. Short trips into the Deadlands are not like to cause permanent damage but extended stays can leave the body inflicted and in some cases unable to cast magic at all.

The ruins of old civilizations dot the dead lands but none have ever been able to do exhibitions deep enough into these lands to see if any parts of them were ever spared.

Races of Haven

While not a comprehensive list of species on this world these are the primary races discovered here, any race you choose to play beyond these will have had their origins in the dead lands and as such are either close to extinction or much less in numbers nowadays.

Humans - Most common race in the Mor'Dall and Mor'Fell regions, common life spans of fifty to eighty years and capable of casting magic. They are the founding race of the empire and one of the few races to not be led to near extinction due to the war.

Elves - A former race from across the sea on the second largest continent. The eleves come in a variety of types and banded together to prevent the empire from expanding into their lands over four hundred years ago---only to be brutally defeated and enslaved by the empire. When Atomos was unleashed the vast majority of elves were wiped out with their limited numbers now spread across Haven. Elves are tall and slim and naturally pretty, they are long of life living for up to two hundred years and are fairly magically talented. Elves have managed to become a greater part of imperial society due to these abilities in the years following their enslavement.

Dwarves - A short and stoic race known for their beards, stone craft and mining abilities. Like the elves they had other dwarven cultures strewn across the world but in the wake of the war only the tribes on haven remain. Unlike the Elves they willingly allied wit the empire to avoid a war they knew they could not win and have prospered through trade since. Dwarves are known for being stubborn but are fairly friendly if not blunt.

Fae - Fae is a catch all term for the races of the Faelands, too numerous to list any species born from natural magic is considered a fae and as such they come in countless forms and sizes. Fae are generally all either incredibly long lived or outright immortal and as such tend to have difficulties seeing mortal races as their equals. They are often known for living in the moment and preferring to do things that bring them happiness or pleasure. Humanoid Fae are known to be impossibly beautiful and it is not uncommon to see half-fae folk within haven as many Fae will "acquire" partners from mortal areas when someone catches their fancy.

Beast Tribes - Like the Fae this is more a catch all term, beast tribes may have their own names for their people but they are essentially sentient monsters who are for the most part non-hostile to the other races, they tend to most live within the wetlands but traders or mercenaries are not uncommon across Haven.

Demons - Entities from another dimension, demons are beings of chaos and tend to pop up when the barriers of reality become thin in an area. Like Fae and the Beast tribes demon is more of a catch all term than a singular race. However unlike the latter two Demons rare desire peaceful interaction and will either attack, corrupt or enslave when they have the opportunity to be let lose. Lesser demons are susceptible to magical covenants and dark mages often use Demons as their minions. Due to the lack of mana in the Deadlands Demons are abundant adding another danger of trying to explore the wastes.

"It all starts like most stories do, a chance meeting; a twist of fate and a common goal our heroes blissfully unaware of what the cogs of fate have set in store for them...Yes, if I remember right it was a dark and stormy night..."

*The storm had passed and twilight had fell on the arid wastes of the dwarven lands of the jagged peaks, the only sound in the night was the occasional whistle and the sound of metal wheels on the tracks, as the train turned a bend in the track around near a small river a young half faye women rested her head on her hand by the window of her room sighing as she stares off across the dark wastes beyond--it was a simple job really, protect the cargo being transported to border town of Little Twister; unlikely to be anything interesting but its free travel from Great Rock to the border of Mor'Dall Ruelia thought to her self.

*sighing again clearly bored and considering an early night she notices the sound of footsteps outside her own cabin as one of the Train workers a young man called "Mathew" run in a slight panic--Ruelia raises an eye brow and raises to her feet slowly moving to the door and glancing outside into the hallway.*

((For the sake of simplicity all starting characters will begin on the train--and meet through events to come.))

In a cabin further down the train, there sat a pair. An odd pair to be sure; one was a Dwarf, calmly sifting through a book. The other was a woman, who was decidedly not calm. She fidgeted in place as she sat, looking out the window in an attempt to see something… anything… interesting to her. Not much luck was had in that.

“This train is so boring!” the woman exclaims, breaking the long held silence. She looks over at the Dwarf, who seems unfazed by her exclamation. “You've gone over that book several times already! How can you keep doing that?”

“It doesn’t hurt to make sure I haven’t missed anything in my preparation,” the Dwarf answers, his gaze still fixated on the text of the page. Truth be told he already remembered everything in the book; he simply didn’t know what else to do to pass the time.

“Sureeeee… whatever you say,” she replies as she slumps back into her seat, clearly not believing him. Her ears perk up as she hears the footsteps of someone running down the hall, breaking the otherwise calm tedium of the train ride thus far. “Someone’s running… hey, maybe something’s finally happening on this boring train! About time!”

“I hope not…” the Dwarf mutters, if only because he would much rather not deal with the fallout of her actions. The footsteps approach the cabin door at a strong pace, then continue by just as quickly.

“I’m going to take a look,” the woman says as she gets up and peeks out the door into the hallway.

“I really wish you wouldn’t Eira… remember what happened at the Inn before we left?” the Dwarf interjects, his gaze finally breaking from the book to look at her.

“It’s not my fault that she sounded like she was in pain, Al!” Eira snaps back as she momentarily pulls her head back in the room to look at the Dwarf. He merely sighs and looks back at the book in his hands. After letting out a small sound of annoyance, she leans her head back out of the door of the cabin to see what was going on.

In a cabin, 2 rooms away from the Dwarf and woman, a cloaked figure unveils her hood revealing herself to be half elf and half Fae of the aquatic variety. She made sure the cabin's exit was locked before, relaxing at the window

"Welp, Looks like no one's noticed I snuck onboard with a fake passport.", she thought aloud to herself. "Wished it wasn't so troublesome to acquire the right papers for this train, though" she added.

Several minutes pass, and boredom soon took over. Letting out a sigh, she draped a chakra meditation mat, after stripping off her cloak, in the center of the cabin; sits down and proceeds to take her meditation posture. "At least I have something to take my mind off." she mutters.

moments deep into her meditation; her concentration was being disturbed by the noise of someone running down the hallway. As she opens her eyes, cutting her meditation, it takes a few moments to notice the footsteps about to pass her cabin. Letting out a gasp, she immediately jumped up back on her feet, slips on her cloak with the hood to hide her ears.

"Damnit! I sure hope that inspector, hasn't found me out already." she thought to herself; as she peeks out her cabin's front door to see the little guy pass by without batting an eye at her.

"Phew!" she pulled her head back in, closing the cabin door to return to her previous activity. "I guess I'm in the clear, still" she added.

Mathew reaches the door leading out to the connecting point between the last passenger car and the cargo car shuffling around in his pocket he fails to notice Ruelia slowly approach and does what she can only describe as "turning hop" as he jumps in surprise when she puts her right hand lightly on his shoulder. "AHH--!" he yelps as notices Ruelia standing there now.

"Jumpy aren't you? Its just me calm down." Ruelia gives a slightly unimpressed look "Whats all the commotion, something wrong?" Ruelia places a hand on her hip with a relaxed stance.

"Yea--maybe?" Mathew says catching his breath, we got word that a group of theives might be targeting the shipment and one of the passengers just said they saw a group of armed passengers roaming the cars!" Mathew looks a little worried given theres only himself and maybe two other workers on the train.

"What kind of theives announce their mark?" Ruelia gives a slight rise of an eyebrow "Well theres only two ways onto this car right? Lets go have a look-see." Ruelia pats Mathew's shoulder and opens the car door the sound of train wheels on the track clacking in the night as Mathew follows closing the door behind him.

"Look even if they go from the roof or something theres only one way INTO the car right?" *He pulls out the one key to the locked door* "And I have the only key to it!"

"You sure about that?" Ruelia points noticing the cut lockpad

"Oh noooo...." Mathew lifts his hat and runs his hand through his hair "I knew we should have hired more gaurds---how did they find out about the delivery?!" mathew starts to have a freak out as turns in place.

"Hey dont worry thats why I'm here--let me go have a "chat" with our friends you stay out here." Ruelia smiles giving a playfull pat on Mathew's back causing him to nearly lose his hat*

"W-wait it might be danger---!" Mathew tries to say as Ruelia gives a casual wave as she crosses into the last car...the dark room beyond with only a single chest at the center and some crates along the edges*

(will see if others get their intro posts done before I continue)

Her eyes fluttered open, vision blurry as she groaned and rubbed the sleep from them. Rolling over to her side and pushing herself to a sitting position, the woman let out a long yawn. Sleep was still beyond her, she fretted. Too much on her mind. She pushed herself off the bunk and waddled two paces across the tiny cabin and settled at the small vanity desk, and started fixing her hair, and freshening herself up.

Footsteps, heavy ones by the sound of it, flew down the hall past her door. She spun to face it, frowning. "Curious." She brushed her hair a few more strokes, before setting to dressing herself. As she reached for her coat, she began hearing voices outside. Pressing an ear to the door, she heard tell of thieves, and shipments. She bit her lip in contemplation. Couldn't sleep anyways, she figured.

Swinging on her coat, buttoning, and adjusting it, she moved for her treasured axe, leaned against the bedpost, in close reach in case of - well - something quite like this. Checking her hair and makeup in the mirror one last time, she shouldered the axe by its strap, and slid the door open.

Wordlessly, she strode down the hall, giving the panicked train worker a wink and a smile as she ignored his protests, in pursuit of the other woman who'd already taken her initiative.

Waking up from her meditation, she seems to have overheard the little guy talking with the unknown passenger, about possible bandits aboard. It doesn't look like anyone's on to her by the sound of what she's hearing.

"Maybe I could use this time to investigate the problem. Might also clear any suspicion from me." she thought, as she gets up, dresses herself in something less suspicious, unlike her cloak, as she heads out down the hall. She then smiled and gave the little guy a little friendly greeting with her fingers, "Don't mind me." she thought quietly, as she passes by, leaving Mathew scratching his head as to wonder why everyone's so unconcerned about the armed robbery.

Ruelia's gaze glances to the right then slowly to left, the noise of the track outside making it hard for her ears to pick out any sound of movement. Reaching back casually while keeping her body facing toward the chest at the center she slides the door close masking much of the noise outside. Sighing she takes one or two steps forward, right hand over her rapier's handle; her ear suddenly twitches and she pulls her blade swinging it a loud clang as it deflects a bullet.

"Nice try, but you were too loud." Ruelia frowns facing toward the left most cargo container a Dwarf steps from behind it a rifle in his hand. "Dammit--though I had you..."

As the two stair each other down the sound of the gunshot rings through the rear passenger cart as does Mathew's shrill shriek.

As the sound of a gunshot can be heard by her. Gillian immediately picked up the pace, into a hurried sprint. A menacing smile started to twist upon her visage, as she closes in on the action, in the next car ahead.

"Please, be a dwarf." went through her mind, assuming that dwarves are very common with firearms. Also hoping to not pull her punches; as she feels the need to hurt men half her size.

(Gonna wait on whoever else, before joining Rue in her encounter.)

"Halt!" A commanding voice echoes through the hold. "Drop your weapon, criminal!" Ruelia suddenly feels the cold steel of an axe blade on the back of her neck. "What are you after, harassing passengers like this?!"

She cranes her neck over and nods to the dwarf across from the half-fae woman. "Worry not, friend. Get to safety!"

Arriving at the scene, she notices the rifle wielding dwarf ready his aim at the helpless half-fae being held at axe point. She paused for a moment, as she feels that the half-fae is the innocent one here

"Damnit! What do I do?" went through her mind, as she chooses to charge in on the human, who may regret her choices for apprehending the wrong person later; as the human gets pinned down by the shear force of Gillian shoulder to her gut.

"Get down!" she shouts, tripping the half-fae with her fish tail, the moment a gunshot was fired at her. Ricocheting off Gillian's bracer, the dwarf makes a break for it.

"A gunshot? Well that can't be good. Eira, before you-" Aldrean started to say as he grabbed his hammer. Before he could finish though, Eira had already burst out of the cabin and was sprinting down the hall towards the origin of the blast. Aldrean let out a sigh as he rushed after her.

Further down the hallway, Eira picks up the pace as another gunshot rings out through the hall of the train. She spots the silhouette of someone attempting to exit the room, holding an object she is well familiar with. The Dwarf notices her rushing towards him and decides to fire upon her. A shot rings out down the hallway but misses its target, followed by a grunt as Eira tackles the Dwarf back into the room. While he is temporarily winded, Eira takes the opportunity to bend the barrel of the rifle just enough so that it couldn't be used anymore.

Back in the hallway, Aldrean is running as quickly as his Dwarf legs will allow. The gunshot that was aimed at Eira whizzes by and shatters a window right behind him, surprising him enough to dive to the ground in response. After a moment he gets back up and runs to the room at the end of the train.

"What in the blazes is going on?" he exclaims as he sees Eira pinning a Dwarf down, and several other people on the ground as well.

"Nice... " Gillian attempts to thank the woman for stopping the thief dead in his tracks, "...save?" she added, the moment she notices another dwarf enter the room.

Before Ruelia can really really respond she nearly topples over turning fast enough to smack back frst into the wall near the boarded up window. Pointing her rapier forward and scanning the room with a quick gaze, hard to tell who's with the dwarf or not, as she's about to open her mouth the car shakes and the upper roof explodes leaving a rather large hole and two figures in the shadows looming above them.

"I think you outta let him go machine." The one wielding some sort of bladed weapon resting casually on his shoulder.

He can tell? Eira thinks to herself as she looks up at him. She hopes that no one else heard it, else it could cause some problems. In an uncharacteristic show of restraint, instead of brashly responding she merely strengthened her hold on the Dwarf.

The man kneels casually extending his hand, holding what looks like a magitech grenade? "You want endanger the other passenger? No need for that right miss?" Its hard to tell what he looks like with the bad lighting but he looks human, but you can kinda pick out an accent not uncommon to the town of little twister.

The sound of the explosion was loud enough to to cause Gillian's ears to ring.

"Goddamn that stings. Why does it hurt so much to have elven ears?", went through her mind, as she held her ears closed with her hands. She then turn her attention to the 2 new hostiles above.

As much as she wants to know what the mysterious figure's saying to the other woman; all she could hear was muffled voices, while the ringing still lingers. Even now, she can't make out who's the guy threatening with the grenade in hand, putting her in another dilemma that she might not succeed either way.

"... Fine," Eira responds reluctantly, getting off of the Dwarf and backing off. She stops in front of Altrean and points up at the man, and exclaims  "You win for now, but nothing escapes my fists forever!"

"I really wish you wouldn't yell, my ears are still ringing..." Altrean stammers, rubbing his temple.

Cheliam eases herself off Ruelia and dusts her coat. "And what, might I ask, was tha-" Her complaints are cut off by the sudden pair of explosions, as two more figures appearing atop the train car's roof. Cheliam frowns, as they begin threatening the other newcomers.

She extends a hand to the other woman. "Apologies. Seems I got the wrong impression earlier." Hefting the axe over her shoulder once again, she helps Ruelia to her feet. Spinning around, she eyes the figures through the holes in the roof. "And might I - We - ask what prompted this disturbance so late in the evening?"

As the ringing stopped, Gillian got up; only to notice Eira releasing the thief from her hold, as he scurries to join his accomplices.

"Welp; that ended poorly." she said to the Eira, who's backing off from the thieves. She then turn her attention to Cheliam, helping Ruelia back on her feet.

"They're after the cargo." she chimed in on Cheliam's question, "Besides, why would they not use the evening to set their plans in motion. Would be really dumb to steal stuff in daylight." she added, as she pulled out a chakram, knowing full well her fists aren't going to reach the bandits from down here.

"Robbing a train in the middle of nowhere should have no bearing on subtlety." She replies. "In fact, it's rather quite rude to do it when people may be asleep." She grumbles, mostly sore she couldn't be asleep right now either. "Now the question on my mind is - what cargo is so important that it warrants robbing the whole train? Surely there's easier ways to illicitly acquire money and valuables."

The man who is likely the leader motions to his partner "Git up here plans changed." The dwarf seeing the attention is off him reaches into his jacket and pulls out some sort of grappling hook, aiming it upwards the ground see the dwarf rocked to the roof as a second figure joins the leader and pulls him up.

"Tch..." Ruelia says under her breath looking back to the Mathew and the door she pushes past the newcomers "Might want to see to the other passengers, this might get rough. giving him a light shove back onto the passenger car side "W-wait what are you going to do?!" Mathew sounding even more exasperated.

"Just gonna say hi." *She grins climbing up the ladder to the roof, as she reaches the top she sees the the three figures, a Human male at the center with a Gunblade, the dwarf pulling out a small revolver, and a thin but tall elf women with some sorta staff.  Ruelia cracks her knuckles and grins.

Letting out a sigh, Gillian jumps up through the hole in roof, landing by Ruelia's side.

"C'mon now. Save some for me." she says, mimicking the same knuckle cracking, before taking a fighting stance. "Besides, you're gonna need the help after having an axe to your neck, last time." she added, as her attention glares at the elf, among the trio; knowing full well her identity's in jeopardy now that another can tell she's half elf too.

"I hope you have your reasons taking orders from such ilk. I really don't want to hurt another fellow sister." she pondered, hoping this confrontation goes quick and painless, without too much being said.

"Hey, wait for me!" Eira exclaims as she jumps up through the hole in the roof. She lands on the metal above with a clang, then assumes a stance ready to fight.

I wish she wouldn't do that... Altrean thinks while sighing. He looks around the room and notices the chest in the middle of the room. He decides to keep an eye on it; the roof is likely getting too crowded anyways.

The woman sighed, shouldering her axe. "Itching for a fight already." She grumbles as she starts the climb up through the holes. Emerging up top, she shields her eyes from the rain whipping against her face as the train speeds through the darkness. "Must we do this up here?"
