Sega re-registered their trademark for Virtual-On Oratorio Tangram

As the guy on Kotaku said, this news will drive me nuts.  For those of you who don't know, VOOT is my favorite game of all time.  Ever.  It ranks #1 on the Top Ten List of Favorite Games Ever.  So this bit of news definitely has me all types of curious.  What could this mean?  Are they going to re-release the game on a different system?  Are they going to make a PROPER sequel to it?  I don't know, but I trust Viewtiful Ben and others will keep an eye out for me!   8D

...I really love this game.

Mixed... Feelings... Right... Now...

However, this is great news nonetheless.
Bring on more Virtual-Ons!
Though werewolfication and kissing human girls and playing tennis sounds... XD

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

SEGA's been very keen on bringing back old franchises haven't they? I still want my jet Set Radio Wii though... '>.>

Either way, this is great news PB.

We don't know that yet.  LoL, this could wind up being another MARZ...

All they need to do now is bring back Jet Set Radio, Eternal Arcadia and Streets of Rage and I'll be happy. This is great news!

Hm.. so THAT's who the blue 'bot who can talk in SRW@3 hailed from.. he did mention MARZ during one of his moves.. I'll keep an eye out.

Which is exactly why we're going to hope that this move means nothing. Squat. Because our hearts couldn't take a shitty Virtual On remake where the robots turn into werebots and kiss human girls and play tennis against Ulala.

I freakin' lol'd at this comment, reminds me of a spiky blue hedgie who's been through all that. And yes, I knew him through a SRW game, so what?

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

How interesting. This seemingly fits right in with the notion that Sonic Shuffle has had its license renewed as well...Dreamcast lives on!  8D

Any way, at this point, I'm of the opinion that I would MUCH prefer just an upgraded/upscaled version of the game on the Wii, with some decent online play functionality (ideally, without FCs).

Better to take that which people pretty much was in 100% agreement on was AWESOME, than to make a new game that can't hope to live up to the originals, and will only leave us feeling quite deflated.

So yeah, in Sega's case, I say, bring on the remakes/ports of old DC games. I'll buy 'em all over again, if the new goodies included in the package are worth it (or my DC copies don't work any more properly  8D).

Yeah, I'm with you on that, Ben.  What'd I love is if they release the latest version of the Arcade game that I played in Japan.  I forget the Number of the upgrade, but that one was the most balanced version.

Also, bring back the customizable Virtuaroids as well.  I loved my Red/Gold Fei-Yin KN.   8D

More Re-Registered Trademarks by Sega!

I thought I'd post this here, since it stills relates to my interests/hopes&dreams/etc.  Apparently, VOOT isn't the only trademark Sega has gotten back under their name.  Sonic Shuffle, Cosmic Smash, Jet Grind Radio, and now ChuChu Rocket have also been re-registered by Sega as well.

Hmmmm, what does this all mean?   -_-

ChuChu Rocket for the DS would be great. This game is created for touch screen.

Um, I'm VERY interested by this game.  I mean sure, there's no [tornado fang]ing chance of the Arcade machines coming to the US, cause our arcades are on operation Vacu-SUCK, but there's still the slight possibility that this will eventually be a console game.  MOST importantly, is that there's a slim chance that this is a new Virtual On.

Hopes are abound in PB tonight!   8)

Yeah, I saw this a few days ago. This could be VERY good, if Sega AM is up to the snuff it USUALLY is.  0v0

Oh, sweet.

I love games with mechas. Especially customizable ones.

I hope it's getting a remake.  8)
