I just thought this was interesting read. Yet, it's so sad. It had a good run. :(

Yeah, it brings back a whole lot of good memories. Sad to see it end, and wish it could continue digitally somehow.

I don't share your sentiments on GamePro.

It's too bad about Nintendo Power, but it certainly wasn't what it used to be. Regardless, good night sweet prince.

What did happen with GamePro to be put in the negative light? I lost touch with gaming mags as whole a long time ago.

I never followed it. Last one I bought was in an airport because it was the closest thing to what I wanted. It had Astro Boy on the cover. Damn that game had a fun engine.

I haven't honestly gotten, or read, a Nintendo Power in many years. I did at one time have a subscription, as all good Nintendo gamers had back in the day. Fond memories, reading about new games, constantly looking over the new screen shots and previews, anticipating and wondering. Reading the letters, looking at the fan art, and all the rest. It was a great magazine. I kinda fell out of it though, as things seemed to decay a bit, and information was accessible instantly and freely on the internet. Regardless, it is sad to see such a staple childhood component go. I do have to wonder how they managed to hang on so long though.

R.I.P. Nintendo Power

Another magazine I had wanted to write for bites the dust. First Tips & Tricks and now this.

Hell NP was one of the reasons I moved to San Francisco; to be closer to their offices, thinking that would help. Well at least it wasn't the only reason I moved here. *sigh*

What a pity. :\

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

They should reprint old Nintendo Powers and couple it with smooth marketing. I'd order some online. Those posters are sweet.

Nintendo can confirm that Future US will end the production of Nintendo Power magazine with the last issue slated for December 2012. For Nintendo Power subscription inquiries, please visit nintendopower.com/customerservice. Check out Nintendo at nintendo.com, on Facebook at facebook.com/nintendo or on Twitter @nintendoamerica. - Nintendo statement

Nintendo has also confirmed that the magazine is not moving to a new publisher, which is definitely the death knell for the long-time magazine.

Also worth noting, some of the staff have said that they're going to try doing something special for the last issue, but tweets making that statement have since been removed.

Well, I did manage to grab a couple of issues, oh man those were the times. It's kinda sad to see it go..

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.
