It really is.  >_<

Yeah, just some idiot who ran a red light and then honked at me like I was the one at fault for trying to cross the road when it was my turn to.

Thats Happened to me a few times too (mostly late at night), glad you weren't hurt either way.

Kids, always, always wash your hands real good after handling hot peppers.

I didn't wash my hands very well after handling a Carolina Reaper and got Satan's ass juice in my eyes.

It hurt.

A lot.

I did that with Sriracha sauce once.   O^O

Playing FF14 as always, finished up the Alexander raids finally ,Alexander Prime was a lot of fun and had some pretty unique music. Also finished Weeping City the other recent raid I had yet to finish, it see now why the fanbase calls it Wiping City.  O^O

Weeping City had some pretty big nods to final fantasy 9.

The Main music is a very chill remix of the FF9 battle theme and Ozma is the third boss and is easily the hardest boss in the raid with some pretty complex mechanics. Oh guess Alexander Prime in the other raid is a FF9 reference too since it's the FF9 version of the summon with the angel wings; plus FF9's ultimate summon Ark is a boss just prior to fight Alexander Prime.

Tactics Ogre also got some love in the Palace of the Dead dungeon, a character from that turned out to be the main baddie of the dungeon and even two tracks from the Tactics Ogre soundtrack got remade for the dungeon.

Just need to finish off Binding Coils of Bahamut and Crystal Tower as far as raids go, and a few extreme level Primals here and there and I'm all caught up for the last patch of 3.0 and the eventual release of Stormblood later in the spring.

All the rage! Love the moveset!

You should checkout Kid Blue's Daliy Power in the RP by the way I tossed a reference to B Powered there.  8D

Just bought Mighty No. 9 on the Steam sale and it's nothing like the cancerous hatedom are it claiming to be. 32-bit version so far worked fine for me. Not sure what to spend the leftover money I got from this giftcard I got as an early Christmas gift.

I agree I feel MN9's hate is overblown a tad but there are some legitimate issues; it's quality is not even close to what it should be given the budget or the team behind it. But even looking past the visuals the characters are bland, the levels are likewise lacking in personality (compared to games like MMX1 and MM2) and the bosses honestly are kinda phoned in.

Removing all the disappointment and hype MN9 is a decent platformer but not amazing or groundbreaking I'm curiously if Concept will try to fix stuff in a sequal or if they will just drop the IP and hope Red Ash ends up being something decent?

I would only change one thing, and it's pretty minor change and ultimately to your advantage.

I'd make Anti-Grav a minor action rather than a standard action as it does no damage and is an encounter power.  Otherwise you got a good powerset there, the Ultimate is rather interesting, I'll have to remember to toss in some undead enemies occasionally.  8D

Well I see the classes as follows.

And one thing to note they are not binding to any concept mearly a templet for abilities an stats.

Tank Class is for a character who wants to have high survivabilty and powers that can have more effects to aid allies or effect enemies. Their unique trait is any offensive damaging dealing attack they use will mark a target and force that target to hit them lest they suffer a small penalty to their attack rolls.

Striker Class is for a character who wants lots of damage options in battle, they have the most at-wills able to have varied basic and reusable skills while having a decent number of encounter powers but lacking in "ultimate" attacks. Their special skill lets them re-roll an attack roll they didn't like once per battle.

Support Class is for a character who wants to either buff, debuff or just plain heal, they a good balance in the higher tier powers, and their basic ability lets them once per battle instant allow any ally to use a healing surge regardless of turn order.

Casters would do okay in any role depending on the skills you give but I might say Striker or Support as a good starting point.

Was just curious if anyone wanting in on the RP had made any progress on character creation? If not I'd be more than happy to help you pick out a class/make powers.

Had a decent birthday yesterday, despite almost getting hit by a car. Went into work this morning, found out I work at 5pm not 11am when I was there. :\

A car?! You okay?  O^O

The problem is it has no identity of it's own. Brume Tower, Elleum Loyce, Shulva, those were all unique and brought something new. they were true expansions.

AoA is just a painted world rehash on a larger scale. And thats fine- but I would have preferred something totally different, considering the rest of the game is already a "greatest hits" series of rehashes and callbacks to previous souls games, including heavy Bloodborne influence that it suffers from.

I don't feel comparing the two painted world works very well though.

The original painted world is just a left over test area, it was designed to test their level design and enemy placements hence why it was so varied it also allowed them to use Priscilla who was meant to be the new "Maiden in Black" of Dark Souls 1 but was ultimately cut from that roll in the story. It's a cool area but outside shedding some light on velka's followers and Havel's rebellion it's not important too the story and certainly doesn't have must personality beyond "Jesus bonewheel skelies ruuuun".

Ashes of Ariendel is a fully realized community, we visit multiple locations from a snowy field to the ruins of an ancient tribe of barbarians to the settlement of velka's followers finally delving into the depths of the church and finding the source of the rot afflicting the painted world.  All the while we see hints of the turmoil the corvians are facing as the ones still loyal to showing flame to the painter girl are cruelly hunted down and killed by Corvians loyal to Sister Friede who is also an interesting character as she is one of the three sister of Londor and even comments on you being lord of hollows if you followed that story line.

Painted World of Ariendel is in short a fully realized world with packed with life, and a full story; we see from an outsider's perspective the danagers of clinging to the old world and learn they did not make the same mistakes as Lord Gwyn until Sister Freidie arrived and influenced their culture with her own, the Rot is the Painted World's abyss after all.

DLC#2 will likely involve finally creating this new Painted World, Miazaki promised the second DLC will be story heavy and I feel like DLC1 was setting something up, plus it sounds like these two expansions were meant to be one thing originally like Bloodborne's own was (two DLCs merged into one large one)

"I really disliked Ashes of Ariandel. Holy [parasitic bomb] could it be any more uninspired and absolutely irrelevant to the main game."

Disagree so much, my only complaint is that it's too short, but given it was one part of the originally planned expansion that can be expected. That being said how can you say it's irrelevant when the story isn't finished yet.

"hey, remember bloodborne? well here's some more bloodborne enemies!"

All of Dark Souls 3 is heavily influenced by Bloodborne.

"hey remember painted world? Here it is again!"

Whats wrong with revisiting a popular location, besides we learned ALOT about both this painted world and the old one in this DLC alone.

"Hey, remember lady Maria? here's a rehash of that."

Characters are completely different both in design; backstory and fighting style.

"Remember Sif? here, have this turbo dogger that you fought before as a stage enemy but this time fights you near a grave as a boss"

Knights of Faron have a presence in the painted world; considering their relationship to Knight Artorias the wolf at least makes sense. It's the same species of wolf as the corpse from the swamp too.

Alright, once you've chosen one of the three starting classes and come up with the power concepts just run them by me and I'll help balance them if needed.  :)

Guess I shall post up Blue for now.

Blue however being a combat type guardian has a natural affinty to fighting and pushing herself to grow stronger when faced with a foe who's power or skill exceeds her own.

Blue possess super human strength and is incredibly durable for someone of her age, she is also rather agile, and while Blue does possesses the ability to manipulate mana like any normal person she however cannot cast typical spells and can only manipulate her own unique power, a form of magic taking the form of an Aura she can manipulate to her needs. Blue's primary element is light.

Or White Beard's overall lacking design ability in general. Remember he got wrecked twice by a girl in a glorified swim suit.  8D

120
Too bad they are still throwable.  :D

121
Having a cannonball head makes life hard.  8D

For a moment I thought he had a cigar. He should totally have a Cigar to fit his gruff captain image! XD

Also for his weakness---so we pelt him with parrots?  8D

I'll think on that, but I think being a hero would be nice change of pace.
Maybe become a fallen hero in the end. Maybe. :P
Sounds good!  :)

I think I can use an old fantasy-based character from another RP. In that RP, magiteck was dwarf-exclusive, but my character was adopted by a dwarf clan after a village raid by bandits. My char then learnt the ways of the dwarves, and created Jotuns, basically robot masters powered by magic.

When my char became an adult, he wad ousted due to power madness back into human civilization. He was then picked up by the king, and became his military advisor, his Jotuns became part of the army.

... You can see where I was going with the char. He was Albertus in that RP.

I think with a little tweaking, mainly his back story, he should work fine in BVA.

Sounds good to me, I have a post up on the races so theres some info on the dwarves if you need it. Planning to be a party member or try out a villain role again?

I can see minor A.I.s being more involved with our computers and devices as time goes on but ultimately I see our technology moving toward more direct connections from our brains to the networks ala the Deus Ex series.
