Makes me wonder what the voice cast would have been like. Ian James Corlett and Robyn Ross would have been inappropriate for a prepubescent Rock and Roll. I did like Jim Byrne as Dr. Light though.

That Pokemon is really interesting, especially with the anime which sounds miles better than what we got.  Though I don't subscribe to the theory that Giovanni is Ash's father I like what they did with it and the league challange with Giovanni being the champion and disbanding Team Rocket, not to mention Mewtwo being in a post season movie sounds 10 times more awesome than the First Movie to me.  Oh if only those things happened instead of the stupid crap we got.

Though I do wonder why exactly Drowzee and Hypno were erased and why their replacements became Psychic/Fire, besides the puns, but I would like to see art of them since they still sound awesome like Plesia does, which is saying something since Lapras is pretty damn awesome.  Molebore and Molecrush do kind of sound meh to me though, interesting for the concept but the names are boring to me.  But I really like Marowak evolving into Kangaskhan and the names for the Nidoran are freaking adorable and wish those were canon.

However I'm not sure about the pirate, everything about her seems very out of place and out of nowhere, especially the name.  I would have rather have Team Rocket attack the SS. Anne in the games like they did in the anime.  However though I also don't subscribe to the theory that Blue's Raticate died I did like what they did with it as well.

I'm really curious what would happen in the sequel.

Pokemon Gold and Silver will be known as Sun and Moon in that timeline with Ho-oh as the mascot for sun though the original authors of the timeline are coy on whether Lugia will be the mascot for Moon. In the latest entry it looks like the games will be similar to the DS games in appearance being on the Gameboy Color successor.

As for my contributions, they are largely comic books and related media. Ben Reilly replaced Peter in the clone saga. Zero Hour restored Wonder Woman as a founding member of the JLA and the silver age Hawks pasts restored.

Oh, yeah, and Bruce Campbell as Superman!

I don't know if anyone here is familiar with "alternate history" but I contributed to a pop culture timeline. The basic premise is that Nintendo and Sony did release the SNES CD add-on in 1992, which had some interesting ripples. One notable change is that SEGA is actually doing much better than in out timeline though still a relatively distant second to Nintendo/Sony. The Saturn has the Nintendo 64's hardware and the Gameboy Color's successor is a somewhere between the Gameboy Advance and DS in power with the latter' clamshell design.

The timeline has only gotten to October 1998, but that timeline has is having its first rumblings of Pokemania Unfortunately for the Quickie of that timeline, the butterfly effect erased Drowzee and Hypno. In their stead exist Psychic/Fire types Hotlein (holding a phone in its hand) and Oracoal (holding a tarot card.)

I thought PB would get a kick out of this. There was a Green Lantern film starring Billy Zane as Kyle Rayner released in summer 1998 (along with an earlier release of X-Men.)

I did that once. The hospital told me not to come again.

I made a coupe Bomb-Omb "puzzle" levels (though I misspelled it as Bom-Omb), though I would call it more of a gimmick.

One of the perks about working at the Calgary Zoo (even if it is a temporary cashier position) is that I can see the animals as many times as I please. Personally, I like to visit the penguins where they have Kings, Humbolts, Gentoos, and Rockhoppers. Looks like two of the Kings hatched a chick and I finally got a good look at it.

Sadly, it blends in too well with the wall but its supposed to be between the two adults. The camera that comes with my (three-year-old) phone is not that good quality.

Okay, haven't posted since May it seems. Well, this thread seems to be at least as good a place to give an explanation before I disappear into the aether once more.

I'm... not well. Feels like I've been struggling and--well, I've been in a pretty dark place for the past few weeks and months. Even to the point where I just "it" to end. I don't I feel this growing disconnect from the real world and growing disinterest from engaging with it. As of late I noticed that I use fictional characters (usually pre-adolescent males) as avatars for my social media accounts. I honestly hate looking in the mirror; I often tell myself that "this is not my body" and that "this is not my life." I've also been struggling with work and money as of late and don't know if I will be able to sustain myself for much longer or if I really want to.

I don't know if I want to disclose personal details. All I'm willing to say at this moment is that I don't know if I have the strength to move forward. The good news is that I finally got through to a therapist with Alberta Health but I really don't know how what to do right now.

I need a crossbow, long coat, and floppy hat, STAT!

Yup, looking forward to more Flash. At least I do not need to wait three years between episodes.

I'm just going to bury these poor Gogoats and console the Gogoat widows and Skiddo orphans.

I leave for a couple months and Pokemon sacrifice becomes rampant? What's next, a Tentacruel-like Cthulu rising from the depths?! :O :O

I am so behind on goings on in comic books. I have only just learned that Kaine (AKA Scarlet Spider) died in Spider-Verse. [tornado fang]. I found Kaine infinitely more enjoyable as a character in his series and New Warriors. Can we just bring back Ben Reilly or Kaine and kill Peter or have Miles Morales replace him? Seriously. I am beginning to believe that Dan Slott is the worst thing that happened to Spider-Man since OMD.

An interesting read I found at my local bookstore. The title is "Console Wars" and as it suggests, it details the Sega/Nintendo rivalry of the nineties; largely through the viewpoint of former SOA president, Tom Kalinske. Kind of makes me yearn for the old days. No other generations were as exciting because Sega's rise and downfall were truly epic.

One thing I found interesting was though Sega of Japan and Sonic Team designed Sonic the Hedgehog for the American (and European, to an extent) market, they had little idea of what American audiences wanted. Thank heaven they dropped the human girlfriend, Madonna, and the fangs...

And Sonic 06... did... not... happen.  O:<

64
Well... I noticed I have not posted here in a long while.

65
I work until 11:30 PM tonight and I am in (and have been all week) a downtrodden mood. Not a really good day.

66
Things have certainly come full circle, eh?

As for Toho and Godzilla. I was guessing a ten-year hiatus seems about right considering tha gap between the Showa and Heisei series lasted nearly that long.

"If you don't like that you can try the Emboar tenderloin with Cherrim glaze! Compliments of the chef!" 8)

At about that time, Pyro's "magic" turned Fenice's face green and a herd of Doduo and Dodrio came stampeding towards him.

"Green means go!"  8D

A top hat gently dropped down from the canopy of the woods and fluttered in the breeze where it landed topside-up in front of the group. A black-sleeved arm with a white glove extended from seemingly out of nowhere and reached inside the hat to pull out... Pyro by his knit cap. The (now) Slateport Gym bowed to what was inaudible applause.

"Thank you, thank you! I'll be here Thursday! Try the roast Unfeasant!"

(Consider it a cutaway shot to show what Pyro is doing. Team Fauna probably will not be bothering him after this.)

A loud, disembodied voice then boomed out of the blue.

"AND NOW FOR... WHERE ARE THEY NOW?"

After the tragic volcanic eruption that buried Lavaridge Town, its Gym Leader the ageless prepubescent known as Pyro was forced to relocate and transform the Trick House north of Slateport City into Slateport Gym. Like the former Lavaridge Gym, he transformed it into a mind-warping maze that drives many aspiring trainers to psychosis. Unfortunately, Pyro's insanity attracted the ire of Team Fauna who sought to "liberate" his Pokemon from him...

...Unfortunate for Team Fauna, that is.

A crowd gathered around the former Trick House with several ambulances parked at the entrance. Paramedics carted the writhing (and now monochrome) Team Fauna members on gurneys.

"Can't sleep. Gengar will eat me. Can't sleep. Gengar will eat me."

"I'm King Henry the Eighth I am, I am!"

Pyro, on the hand, stood at the entrance. His shadow wore a perverse grin, wich indicated that Mr. Spook was melded with it. He waved as the paramedics slammed the doors shut and drove off to Slateport with their sirens wailing.

"BYE!" He shouted to them, "Mr. Spook and I will come to visit!"  8)

Where do you get the PSS?

74
Well, I need to get up at 4 AM tomorrow because work begins at 6. The good news (at least) is that it's a seasonal job at Best But, so I will be able to buy Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Smash Bros. Wii U after I'm done.

Sonic '06's story is a perfect testament to this statement.

I liked Sonic Color's writing. Then again, if you are playing a Sonic game for the writing, you are playing the wrong game. Too bad the games have a terrible hit/miss record.
