I've run into a major bug it would seem, in prye man.

I got very very far through the level, and got beat, never used it yet, but i saw a ladder to go down, but i didn't yet, i just kept on going right, with no clue what was going to happen since it was my first time ever...and the screen went right into nothingness, couldnt turn back..so i kept going but there was still nothing on screen...and eventually i just got stuck permenately forever with no where or way to go...

Wow, guess i ended up being the first person to go on the leaderboards. Took me about 2 hours or so to get through this game. It's not bad. :)

and whoops i didn't know that submitting a comment more than once went to the main front page. i thought it was serperate for each level. Ehh oh well.

it took me probably 300 tries or more total, to get through all the levels.
I wont say anything after the 4th level in case no-one knows.

oh and to blyka - i dont know why but when i tried to customize the controls --- keyboard...it would say "press up" and i would..but nothing would ever happen. i pressed every single button on the keyboard except the Fx keys listed at the top and nothing would ever happen....all i wanted to do was switch the jump and shoot button...but it's seriously impossible. :(

I think it's glitched

I WAS going to try this out...but im not interested anymore cause it completely [tornado fang]'d up my comp after the logo finished loading...it sent my monitor screen without ANY warning into a super tiny resolution like 400x600 or something i dont know....instead of loading your game...i heard the music but i couldn't see the program or anything...i tried pressing all the F buttons to "switch mode" like your readme says...but wouldnt work since the program wasn't in focus when it totally screwed with me as i was trying to look really quick at the readme text since it was taking a long time to load...i couldn't manage to get back to to normal resolution cause [parasitic bomb] was so damn big (or small or whatever).

I HATE is sooooo damn freaking much when people do that [parasitic bomb] with fan games, it's what makes me perfer rom hacks over fan games cause they always do stupid [parasitic bomb] like this. No offense to you sorry for sounding mean.

I had to unplug the monitor from this laptop...and force the laptop off by holding down the power button...then turn it back and thank GOD i was back in 1024x768 when i plugged the monitor back into my laptop....
I thought i was going to end up stuck in it forever

sorry but i deleted this game instantly right away. >_<
Just a suggestion though...you should consider having your game start off in "windowed mode"....not automatically force people's computers into some horrible resolution like that. :(

I dont know why i even bother continuing to try fan games like these ...i seriously gotta quit...this isn't the first time someone's done something just like this before to a fan game...

oh yea i played that 1-level demo of the mm3 hack by chiko. the needleman level...well it seems okay. but then i felt it was ridiculous. just the part with the fish and mosquito's...there's far far far too damn many placed in that hallway. would of been more fine if there wasn't so dang much.

and then later where you just drop some screens...onto some weird tile that instantly kills ya ...how was i ever supposed to know it was some death tile, looked freaking nothing like it ...so then i cheated by using rush jet. :( through that part....and needleman battle...oh god

i died too many times until i said fuuuuuuuuck it. :( ...so i gave myself 9 e tanks...and i ended up using 5 or 6 JUST to beat him ...no joke.
 
cause he seemed to make him shoot like 5x as amount needles per round, and increased the damage taken waaay higher than it was originally was.

in case anyone is interested...this is the current status of rock 8 FC..
i asked on the 2ch thread yesterday how their doing on progress, and an anonymous unknown person told me the following:

The developer's nickname in this thread is "the β(beta) man."
So the game he maked is called "β" version.
(It may be called "β"presents edition. )
Actually, I would think that his game is almost attained complecation(as for semantics in game).
But not mounted follows:
some events(ex. runaway of Duo), some stage map(Duo stage, part of Frostman stage),
adjustment of comprehensive game-balance.
As well, there is a plan include extra boss battle(Cut and Wood, or Time and Oil).
But it all depends the "β". We don't take in his progress and plan closely. Sorry, Mike.
If you can read Japanese txt, read a bundled readme file. Reserve item is written.

Do you guys think there's any possible way in the world for people to contact the sonic team, or microsoft, or whoever made sonic 4 in ANY WAY possible ...to do something about the [tornado fang]ing leaderboards ??

They're [tornado fang]ing hacked to god damn death by tons of freaking bastards on the 360.
Well okay thing is, your score counter gets reset to zero every time you die or start another level right ? so that should be able to prevent cheating greatly....and some levels it's IMPOSSIBLE 1 million percent to get past certain score. Like all the battles with eggman, you cant get any higher than like 82,200 or something

well the first 30-some people all have 999 million ...and the first couple entries are [tornado fang]ing 16 BILLION ..for every level, boss battle for eggman...all 7 emerald levels ....even time attack mode. EVERY act...special stage, eggman battle..i mean everything all say 0 minutes, 0 seconds, 0 millisecond....it's [tornado fang]ing ridiculous!!

why do they never deal with this crap. :cry:

i know... :( i do regret this whole freaking "2 levels per robot master" thing ..i wish i never went through with that from the very start. :( but it just happened un-expected with bolt when i wanted a valley level, but megaman-omega wanted a tower level, so it ended up being both of them.  and then i went ahead through a long process of tons and tons of coding setting the whole game up like that so that the 8 guy's levels are all 2 levels long each. :( (2 years ago)

i know people have said they do like the concept, but i wish i never went through with it obviously...cause only just will take a million years to ever finish.
i want to get out of it real bad....but i just feel like i can't. :(

Pyroman would supposedly be like about being in some big factory of explosives and other crazy stuff blowing up or whatever for the 1st level...then the 2nd level would be in that same exact place, except that you gotta escape it cause the whole entire place is going into meltdown cause like maybe pyro blew something up (ending intro of the 1st level) that's going to cause the whole place to blow up. i dont know.

Glacier woman would start outside like on some frozen volcano ..the 2nd level would be "inside" the frozn volcano - speedremix's idea.
dont know what else...i feel like it's too late to "get out" of the whole 2 level per guy stuff. :(

this is my final and last time i'm ever going to try asking anyone from this particular forum.

is there anyone out there ever willing to be able to join this project "full time" in terms of helping with graphics at all ?? ... since im on 9 months now without a start on the necro graveyard level seriously... i've already tried tons of times explaining about this level everywhere all these months. about graphics and stuff

if not then im truly ready to put an end to this game permenately, cause i cant stand it anymore being alone on it i have ZERO motivation to even touch it because of being alone...megaman-omega is not enough for this game to ever succeed ...

i dont have fun on this anymore, i dont enjoy spending time on this anymore...i just cant stand it :(

since almost 5 years for only 2 levels is beyond un-acceptable  ;O;

oh my god, the japanese 2ch community has already started on a NES rockman+forte remake....they already got tons and tons of graphics coverted from the SNES game ...and even surprise stuff from the genesis megaman wily wars game.

god im so jealous. :( I wish i had people to help me "full time" with graphics for my game....they've already got [parasitic bomb] loads of stuff already made. :(

ah cool now it works yea. I seemed to have version 0.30, now it works in that 0.35. :)
and wow yea i think i see what you mean then. that BPM number going back and forth between 225 and 300 really fast every second.

well i'll try talking to matrixz then about it soon. it's still not over yet cause it'll have to be made into the mm3-6 format now until it can truly be in this hack for reals. :|
he did help once before with the duplex space station song. that basils8bit (basilik) from youtube made in fami tracker, which matrixz needed to see it to make it work with this.

what do you think personally about my earlier post about me trying out this whole mm Zero style concept with being able to walk around and talk to people outside of gameplay like with Ceil in zero ?? is it okay ...or useless in your opinion ??

i was just listening in fami tracker myself just to see..and like ..why does it never play anything from the noise channel ? it only does it like a couple times the entire 50 seconds..but almost always never does ?? just only wondered.

and what's that DPCM on the far right side ?? i see there's notes in there occasioinally under the DPCM section ..is that required for this ? cause the mm music engine doesn't use DPCM on anything ..i think.

may i get the .FTM file about it too ? cause when i send to matrixz (author of megaman forever) ..he'll need to see the FTM file for the fami tracker program so he can see all those notes like C-1 ... D#3 .... E-9 .. F-1 and whatever to know what numbers to type in the mm3-6 music format.

and so uhhh ..n-mario and objection man...you guys think this whole concept is worth the time to do then ?? i just had to make sure that im not wasting my time here on this. 1 person in the rom-hacking IRC channel is against the idea.

and yea i went ahead and created a backup IPS patch earlier like objection man suggested "just in case"

Well since there's still no damn start on necro man after 7 months ....still waiting for megaphilX .... and nobody else ever wanting to help with graphics ...

im just now doing more possibly useless stuff that may be a big waste of time...and i guess i should just ask your guy's opinions before i go too far with this to the point where it's impossible for me to ever go back due to over-writing all the code related to stage select and the save screen specifically...


i was going to try coding a system like the GBA mm zero series where you can walk around in light's lab after the end of a level ..or exiting it in some way ex-cluding game overs.

so when loading a Save File, it will immediately "load" a level ..in this case light's lab so you can walk around and talk to roll, light, and probably auto in the future like for a shopping system to buy items with bolts maybe.  So you have to manually talk to light in order to bring up the save screen and stage select like this.

is this a big waste of time ? ..not worth it ? i already got it loading the save screen option, and saving game, or cancel will put you right back here.
