Earlier conversation from today.

For those of you who do not know already, my sister's a nutcase.  O:<
<FatherSaintPaul> Earlier today, my sister and I went to Duffy's for lunch.
<FatherSaintPaul> At one point, she said that she had 2 free tickets to bowl and wanted me to go with her afterwards... How sweet >_>
<xnamkcor> (4CHAN LINKY CENSORSHIP FTL)
<FatherSaintPaul> Anyway, I said no. She didn't like that.
<xnamkcor> did she get mad?
<FatherSaintPaul> Somehow we ended up placing the bet over arm wrestling lol. She seemed weak as hell and has a bad habit of dropping things...
<FatherSaintPaul> So I was gonna tease her and keep my arm stiff and not allow her to push me down...
<FatherSaintPaul> ... that backfired :|
<GameSaver> haha
<xnamkcor> broke it?
<FatherSaintPaul> She slammed my right arm down on the table, making my arm pop in 2 places. I slammed my head onto the table and used my left arm to cover my face.
<GameSaver> She knows how to handle stiff things, you should know that
<FatherSaintPaul> The table next to us, there were like 4 fat biker punks laughing their hillbilly asses off at me while my sister was apologizing while patting my head >_>
<xnamkcor> Today's Lesson
<xnamkcor> The difference between DEX and STR
<GameSaver> Like high school aaaaall over again
<FatherSaintPaul> >_>
Part 2.
<FatherSaintPaul> After lunch, we went bowling >_> And boy didnt that nearly end up making a turning point in my life...
* Wily has quit (Connection reset by peer)
<xnamkcor> sarcasm?
<FatherSaintPaul> Her idea of dating with her older step-brother was terrible. It was worse than the 3 days I went to prison, albiet it was only about 2 hours long.
* Wily (~DrWilyII@synIRC-E2456D54.singnet.com.sg) has joined #rpm
<FatherSaintPaul> Now it was like her 3rd turn and I'm sitting at the scoreboard table straight behind the alley we're playing on.
<FatherSaintPaul> Before that tho, You know how you're supposed to put in a little force in your swing then drop the ball forward to make it roll better?
<xnamkcor> staring at her ass
<FatherSaintPaul> Well [tornado fang]
<FatherSaintPaul> She's taking the ball and swinging it from the side as if she's trying to land it to the furthest distance possible, naturally pretty close to the pins with her abnormal strength >_>
<xnamkcor> swing the ball and level it with the plane to minimine dropping force, yeah
<FatherSaintPaul> So yeah, she takes a swing this time...
<FatherSaintPaul> but she lets go too soon
<FatherSaintPaul> and the ball comes laughing straight at me
<xnamkcor> lol
<FatherSaintPaul> I'm just sitting there innocently with my head resting on my sore right arm
<FatherSaintPaul> and there I saw my life flashing before my eyes
<FatherSaintPaul> I didn't even budge
<xnamkcor> IS PAUL GONNA HAVE TO CHOKE A [sonic slicer]?!
<FatherSaintPaul> lucky for me, the ball missed by centimeters :|
<FatherSaintPaul> and I heard a loud crash behind me, but i could care less
<GameSaver> One day, you'll be rich writing out your life as a sitcom
<FatherSaintPaul> I had no strength and fell out of the chair, and started crawling on the floor while breathing hard enough that I was choking myself
<xnamkcor> dont do that :<
<FatherSaintPaul> Once I got behind the 3 chairs on the side of the alley, I sat with my back against one of the chairs laughing my ass off and crying at the same time.
<FatherSaintPaul> Life sucks. >_>
Also, ALL YOUR ">_>"s ARE MINE!

Edit: Nice, there were NEW POSTS when I saw this thread, and they're almost a year old!

well [parasitic bomb]. even if you dual boot, if this virus has partition editing capabilities, even linux is [tornado fang]'d.

I LOLed, but yeah, if that's the case, burn a roadstarter disc or something with the necessary tools to remake/edit bootloaders and recover data from the hard drive without mounting any data from the disc onto the drive.

hmmm speaking of which, isn't in already april 1st in many places in the world? o.o

11pm for me, time to make popcorn and order a bottle of sake!

In any case, I still have Windows XP, and no, mine doesn't do forceful updates, but it can annoyingly replay those ads each time you refresh your browser.
Google is your friend. Let me rephrase, instead of forceful updates, think invisible updates that you aren't supposed to be aware of. Kinda like Comcast's invisible bandwidth limitation and Macintosh's old usage policy, they're a bunch of a crap and you won't know it 'till someone comes up to you with a statement and a piece of paper that'd ruin the rest of your day.

Rad: The new Sabayon Linux (4.0r1) has been a pain in my rear. I'm sticking with 3.4f, Fedora 10 and Mandriva 2009. As far as any other OSs go, I'm sticking with the official BlackXP and Violet Vista releases, though still trying and testing others as per usual. AND GET SOME TAN! My skin's ugly as it is. >_>

Hey, did Rockmon just promote my custom computer services? 8D
But yeah, get a DELL and you won't have to worry about this new virus at all. >_> Buy an expensive system from them and get all the more the bloatware that'll kill it anyway.

As for games, anybody up for StarCraft?  :W

Mac's worse than Windows.

Besides that, the virus itself is a joke. I'm just waiting for people to think it's actually the end of the world. Month old news is old.

One way to avoid most background installations (spyware, malware, etc) via the web is to disable java and flash features. Via firefox, this is pretty easy.

Now if everybody using windows actually gets infected, it'd be the fault of Microsoft themselves since they can force background updates (which they do).

Anyway, <3 linux.

Lol
And they only mention Winblows.

13
Awesome, Paul! Hope to talk to you again soon. Hope things are going well for you too.

Just note, we're only working on a demo. As far as completing this project, I don't know. Seems like that'd be way too much work and time for a small nonprofit team. Now with the engine in planning, the graphics aren't looking like they'll be the easiest to work with either when working with semi-3d.

14
Been a while around the uncleans. *coughs*

Anybody interested in being an aid to Isis and myself with the cinematics, let me know. I'll be setting up sessions for training in digital 2D animation for the introduction. As for the map sketches, we're looking at the classic Zelda and Pokemon styles, cept much more graphic heavy. There's competition, and there's me!

Anyway, I'm only dealing with putting everything together as the project manager. Aresian's managing and Rad's responsible for recruiting and getting new members in contact and pointed in the right direction. If you're interested, nag him! 8D

I'm with Divi on this.
100x100 was a pain in the rear for me to work with.
(not to mention that 100x100 are small on 1920x1200 resolution settings.)

22
I'm almost tempted to make another account and do just that (for the hell of it).

23
I would say so too, but I didn't cheat yet. 8D

I nearly fried my brains like 3 and 4 days ago trying to put up these hours. Everyone (who was there) in the IRC would know.

When I get all the lead out of my ass, I'm going to set up a box running a "reload every 10 minutes or so" script and sooner or later have the longest logged in time of all.
You so stole my idea.

Rotating avatars used to drive me nuts, but I'm used to it and joined the masses.  So, it doesn't bother me anymore.  If the caption's universal enough, it can still work with any avatar.
I guess I'm a bit behind.
