Title: The Final Fantasy Thread ~ For all your Chocobo Needs!
Post by: VirusChris on March 23, 2013, 04:29:09 AM
There's quite a bit of news on some of the Final Fantasy games as of late so I'll be kind enough to let you fans know! First up, Lightning's Return: Final Fantasy XIII which is the last of the FFXIII games (hopefully... I want to see Versus soon).

http://www.siliconera.com/2013/03/18/lightning-returns-with-new-overclock-ability-that-freezes-enemies/

Lightning returns in the third game of the Final Fantasy XIII games and this time she's going solo, as well as visiting a new area called "Dead Dune" in the her latest adventure, and she comes equip with an unique ability called "Overclock" that freezes her enemies in place... so yeah she gains a Time Stopping ability.

In order for Lightning to use this newfound ability she has to use GP, a brand new stat for this FFXIII game, which also uses the GP to use recovery magic along her HP and MP stats.

http://www.siliconera.com/2013/01/28/lightning-can-guard-and-evade-attacks-in-lightning-returns-final-fantasy-xiii/

Lightning can also guard and evade attacks as well, with a button trigger for the evade where you have to time it just right to dodge the oncoming attack and move out of the way. Also Lightning's attacks and abilities are map to four buttons in this new battle system and changing Lightning's costume will affect her stats and abilities... kinda like the Dressphere System from Final Fantasy X-2.

The battle system will be faster pace than the previous ones in the series.

http://www.siliconera.com/2013/01/23/lightning-is-fighting-for-noels-soul-lumina-was-designed-by-crystal-chronicles-staff/
http://www.siliconera.com/2013/01/17/why-are-noel-and-lightning-fighting-in-lightning-returns-final-fantasy-xiii/

Lumina is the Antagonist of the story (who looks eerily similar looking to Serah in my opinion) and Lightning also is fighting against Noel... for his soul?

http://www.siliconera.com/2013/03/20/new-lightning-returns-final-fantasy-xiii-screenshots-show-off-desert-area/

Lightning's Return: Final Fantasy XIII will be released this Fall for both the Xbox 360 and PS3.

And now for the HD Remaster of Final Fantasy X AND Final Fantasy X-2!

http://www.siliconera.com/2013/03/22/final-fantasy-xx-2-hd-remaster-coming-to-the-west-this-year/
http://www.siliconera.com/2013/03/19/final-fantasy-x-hd-on-ps3-will-include-final-fantasy-x-2/

The games have been announced to be released in the US late this year for both the PS3 and Vita version, where the PS3 has both games bundled together and sadly for the Vita both games will be sold separately.

http://www.siliconera.com/2013/03/20/yes-final-fantasy-x-2-is-getting-an-hd-remaster-too/

One of the reasons I assume of the lack of FFX HD news was apparently they were adding FFX-2 to the mix as well which is an excellent surprise and they going to use the International Versions of the game which included the many updates to the games that made it even better and the US will be getting these versions as well.

Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 HD remasters will be release in Japan and the US this year for both the PS3 and Vita. Look forward to it!

Hey, hey, everyone has many tastes... please respect that. =_=
I quite like the Fate series... though I'm not sure how I feel about the Vita version of the Visual Novel cropping the overall scenes of the game.

But thank you nonetheless.

Oh, I'm a huge fan of the Nasuverse. But Extra never looked good to me, even when I first looked up information about it and saw the pics.

There's also this Final Fantasy V remake here, which is coming to iOS this month in Japan with an Android version to follow this summer. It retains the additions of FFV Advance, such as the new jobs.

No word on a western release as of yet, though.

Sqaure has been stalling with Versus XIII long enough, and I have a suspicion that it's been pushed to the PS4.

Wow... really?

Well as long as the game GETS out, I'm OK with the move. A little disappointed that it's not coming out to the PS3, but oh well at least it wasn't cancelled.

And it looks like a really good FF game to me so far, I hope the final version is great and well worth the wait!

inb4 they decide to port it to 360's successor.

Since my older has a PS3 and FFXIII, maybe he'll upgrade to PS4 and get this.

versus is still versus and is still ps3.

they've said as much before. that vgleaks article claims square ceased ps3 production of versus 2 years ago, but the reality is quite the opposite. that's when versus entered full-scale development. for ps3.

the fact that something like that has been confirmed is enough to shatter that rumor in my eyes.

It wouldn't be the first time a game was held back to launch on a new system, especially for one that's been in development for this long and doesn't have a release date. Let's take into consideration that two FFXIII games have been completed in the same time frame, and another is on it's way. If the Versus project's still alive at this point, it's entirely possible that it's been pushed back.
Title: Re: The Final Fantasy Thread ~ For all your Chocobo Needs!
Post by: Mirby on March 25, 2013, 02:56:51 AM
It is still alive. Even when Kotaku claimed it was canceled (and then backpedaled when SE responded claiming they didn't start that rumor), it was confirmed to be still in the works.

But I suppose it might be hard for people to not be pessimistic about things, given SE's track record. :\

To me, the battle system was the best thing about X-2. Changing jobs mid-battle, earning AP instantly so I can master abilities and use them without having to wait until I'd won... I really enjoyed it. :3

Moogles destroy all.

That and Tactics, even if's just ripped from Ogre Tactics. Tactics is by far my favorite FF.

IX was sweet, but I only rented it. X I've beaten two times, It's run it's course. VII I got to the 3rd disc and just stopped.

FF I was awesome but I got stuck in a cave and wasn't at a high enough level to beat the boss and was stuck between grinding for levels and just dropped it. Shame, since it was almost as fun for me as X was. II is garbage. VI is the only one I haven't finished that I actually intend to someday, probably only because it's so classic and reminiscent of Chrono Trigger.

I played CT first, leave me alone. Also had every ending for that game back in the SNES days.

IV was actually really good, but once again, I got stuck. I don't have patience for most RPGs, they really need something unique to pull me through.

VIII is garbage in a similar way that II is garbage. And I really haven't been interested in any new FFs since XII, which I also didn't finish, for gameplay reasons.

V looked fun, since it's the first FF with the job system (other than III but I don't want a DS right now) but once again, got stuck on something dumb due to the classic RPG move of giving you no indication of where to go or what to do. I only put up with that for Dragon Warrior I due to nostalgic value.

So far there's no Last Mission for X-2, but there's some mentions about it so there could be a Final Mission added to it maybe as a DLC part... who knows seeing as the West never got it and the Japanese version is excluding it out for some reason.

http://www.siliconera.com/2013/07/03/final-fantasy-xx-2-hd-remaster-has-a-new-drama-sequence-during-the-credits/

Not only that but it seems there's going to be a new 30-min Drama Sequence after the credits... I wonder what's that about, perhaps showing the lives of the characters.

Minor thing but FF7 just got a Steam Release.

Sort of annoying for people like me who bought it from Squeenix last year because they won't give out Steam keys.

Oh, and from 13-3.

OCReMix released their Final Fantasy VI album (http://ff6.ocremix.org). It's pretty damn good, and clocks in at over 6 hours of music across 5 discs arranging the entirety of the soundtrack (sans What?!). Quick question regarding FFXIV, it mentions for those you have played Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 version that can use the PC Client, but I couldn't play the game at the time as I lacked the PC and its requirement but thought I would have a new computer by then to play it.

If I add in my 1.0 code for the ARR Client will it accepted it or do I have to re-purchase the game again to play it on my PC?

I already got the PS3 version, but I would like to play it on my PC as well.

You could have if you had used the code back in September. Too late now.

Umm... I used the code and now have the PC version of the game so I don't think that's the case. -u-'

However I mistakenly used my "Buddy Pass" registration code as I somehow thought the "Right of Passage" Redemption code was the Activation Code (shame on me for not paying attention :P ) but I still manage to get the PC version. Anyway I can still use the old Onion Helm code, right? Unless that in-game item was taken out in ARR.

Well I can enjoy playing the game whenever I'm on the computer now.

The writing in Final Fantasy has been a mixed bag since nine, I kind expect insane plots from SquarEnix nowadays.  XD

That being said Lightning Returns is pretty good, although seriously a certain returning boss from FFXIII-2 can go to hell.  o//////o

This version has 221 songs and over 60 characters from the first 14 FF games in addition to side games like Mystic Quest, Crystal Chronicles, Type-0, Lightning Returns, and more!

So yeah it'll definitely be worth it. DLC has already been confirmed, though right now it appears to just be from Romancing SaGa 3.

Also have fun creating a temporal paradox by having both FFX Yuna and X-2 Yuna in your party, since the game treats them as separate characters! But don't worry, Serah and Noel are also in the game so they can clean up whatever paradox this might cause.

So apparently nobody noticed, but Final Fantasy 3 is on steam now?

Its based off the DS/Android version, so Bravely Default style character models (even though FFIII did them first, whatever.).

Its also $15 while the other two that aren't online games are $11. Uh ok.

If it does well enough, III might encourage Square to put the iOS versions of IV and IV The After Years on Steam; both were based off the DS remake, and unfortunately the DS-style remake of TAY hasn't been released anywhere else.

Also, last night I learned of the existence of the Final Fantasy X-2.5 novella. Kinda wish I hadn't, but it's apparently 'canon'. And not for the faint of those who actually liked the X and X-2 story, because it literally renders the efforts of both games pointless.

Sadly, that is real. The account of it as told in that post is slightly exaggerated to make it worse than it is, but the gist remains.

[spoiler=The gist]
-Tidus and Yuna go to an island sometime after X-2
-Tidus kicks what he thinks is a blitzball but is actually a bomb (back during the Machina War bombs were disguised as blitzballs cause apparently blitzers are reliably dumb enough to kick them)
-Tidus's head goes boom
-Yuna revives him but he isn't the same afterwards
-They break up[/spoiler]

Yeah. X-2 ended on such a happy note (provided you actually did the right things to revive Tidus), and then this comes along and ruins it.

What's even worse is that in the story that takes place after that, Yuna's back in her Summoner garb and praying. Which completely undoes all the growth she had in X-2 (which culminated in her literally overcoming her sorrow and preventing another person from sacrificing themselves to save the world).

Really, Yuna and Tidus were already good together but after her growth in X-2 she matches him in craziness. And this ruins that.

I admit I never really bought into the idea X needed a sequel, everything seemed so neatly wrapped up with that ending part kind mirror's the last scene in VII in giving players something to talk about. I honestly had no idea there was attempts to expand things further, but my god this was just bad.

Although X-2 had great game play, I love the way the class system worked in that.

It's strange how they're willing to remaster X and X-2 to such high extents, but effectively render the equivalent of a canon-defiling reset button in terms of efforts and development completely legitimate just as well. It literally boggles my mind that they [tornado fang]'d over two games they put a lot of attention and effort into, complete with a semi-continuation to said novella being right there on the disc.

Yeah, Tabata, who was already co-director on 15, took over for him. He left so he could focus on KH3 fully and, with his main job on 15 done and Tabata able to finish the job, will help make it so both games come out sooner. Which is good, we've been waiting long enough for both of them as it is.

Also they're putting 13 up in early October. That's funny. Who's gonna want to play that?

it did made it to top sells in the Steam top sellers list.

So clearly MANY want to play it.  Or just love to spend.  Or GASP, like it. (like me.)

Though realistically, a good chunk at Neogaf bought it for the hope that it'll encourage the team to bring FFXV to PC.

I totally am going to be getting Final Fantasy XIII on PC. I have it for 360, but I guess I'm just too much of a PC snob these days. Playing things on my 360 bugs me because every game is upscaled to 1080p from 720p. It just bugs me when my PC plays games in 1080p. Let's be honest here, FFXIII doesn't have much going for it in the story department, but it is a very pretty game. I want to play it on a system that makes it look as pretty as possible. My PC is powerful and when you combine a higher resolution with potential graphic mods, it's a winning combination.

ahahahaha FF13 on PC is still 50GB in size, in addition to that the game is locked at 720p which means it doesn't fit the screen and instead resides in a box.

So basically Square screws up a good opportunity to make FF XIII better by not taking advantage of the superior capabilities of PCs? Lame. And jeez, it eats up 50GB? That's Metal Gear Rising and RE4 Ultimate HD Edition worth of hard drive space put together. How many of you wanna bet 10% of that is actual gameplay?

Apparently its more like 60 GB.

And most of that's more likely put towards the video files (Both English and Japanese language are included, which means two versions of each cutscene because of lipsync and what not.)

In case any PC Final Fantasy XIII players care, a patch is coming in December that finally adds video options to the game -- even though as a PC game it should have been there from the get-go, so 1080p is possible without resorting to third-party methods (i.e. modding) that tanks on your game's performance, not that it was great on PC to begin with.

The sad thing is when Clef says it's the PC port, they mean it. It even has the awkward one-tone battle shadows that version had, compared to the actual shaded shadows the original PS1 version (and consequently the port already on PS Classics) had. They're probably doing this solely because the PS4 closely resembles PC architecture, so why not just do some tweaking and bring that over instead of heavily reworking the emulators the PS3 had to utilize (which admittedly is cost-efficient)?

And all of this is probably so people can buy the game yet again since PS Classics aren't on the PS4. I actually want to see just how horribly pixelated the backgrounds be due to the upscaling, or what inevitable quirks come out of a port of a port of a port.

I've been waiting for DS remakes since the IV remake. Then the 3DS was announced and Final Fantasy was one of the many titles confirmed for the system; I was almost sure that it was a 3D remake of V or VI.

But nope, the best we got is Final Fantasy Explorers or whatever it's called. Thanks for all the disappointment, Squeenix. I won't hold my breath for those remakes anymore.

My older brother has the Final Fantasy VII on PS1, both physically (I think he still has it) and on PSN (which he deleted to save space on what little is left on a 60GB hard drive for all of his other games), and from what I remembered playing a little bit of it on PS3, it looked gnarly upscaled to 1080p (where available) and not in a good way. Jagged edges and pixelation all over the place without the smoothing option on, and with smoothing on it looked blurred and was barely an improvement. This is like Fable Anniversary on PC all over again.

Now imagine all of that but with all the character models and interactable objects being properly rendered in higher resolutions (yet still looking like lego people obviously) while the backgrounds remain jagged and pixelated. The Train Graveyard in Midgar, for example, has a couple trains you have to move and thus have models - thus they look downright alien next to the pre-rendered CG background trains on the same screen.

EDIT: Unless they screw up big time by using an older version of the port somehow, the music complaints should be mended, though. The music was originally in MIDI back for the first PC port, then they just.. re-recorded the MIDIs into OGGs for the 2012-2013 port, but earlier this year they patched in OGG recordings of the original music from the Playstation version.

The sheer disregard or misunderstanding for the fans' feelings on this is just mind boggling. At this point they practically owe the fans a remake.

How much you want to bet it would outsell every single entry in the "FF13 series"? Perhaps even all of them combined.

And really, what they will profit off of the remake isn't just financial. They will get back long time fan respect, and reawaken the fan base that they have alienated as of late. This wont just effect sales of the FF7 remake, but also future titles.

... Unless they change things in such a way that longtime fans won't like, and they'll lose more respect. Which is exactly what would happen, and you know it.

Take on the flip side of that, just for the sake of argument, and they'll alienate the new fans (which I'm pretty sure there are more of, sad to say).

It's a lose-lose situation honestly, looking at it objectively.

It's times like these were the whole "fans does things better than the developers" thing comes into play. The PC version already has a modding community, and they proven that they can, at least, replace assets from the game -- textures, models, effects, sounds, the music, just about anything that can be modded to their ability -- to point the were the game almost looks like an updated PS2 port of sorts. Then again, probably the reason why there's a modding community in the first place because the original PC version back then was naff as it was based on earlier builds of the game if the Final Fantasy Wiki is to be believed. Other than the crap MIDI quality music, and from what I've read on TV Tropes, the PC version had some questionable system requirements for a Windows 95 game (on Windows 98, not so much), Chocobo Racing would freeze the game running on Windows XP, FMVs were lower quality than the PS1 version, and had some glitches here and there that were not present in the PS1 version. The newer version on Steam and the Square Enix Store at least fixed many of these issues, but like Nexus said, the music didn't get fixed 'til 2013 and some of the visuals looks off although that could be because Square's using a fan-made rendering tool for the newer PC version if the Wiki is be believed again.

In the end though, if you ask me, the first Parasite Eve holds up much better than Final Fantasy VII (in my opinion).

Yeah that might be the case unfortunately, even though I still want 5 and 6 remakes more.
At least you have better hope for those games than me wanting a remake of Parasite Eve...

I imagine it would be good for LPers who want to LP the game and can't afford to mod their 3DS to capture DS and 3DS games without resorting to using emulators.

I don't see the problem.

I'd gladly shell out $15 for it because holy [parasitic bomb] it's an amazing game.
My brother used to have the DS version Final Fantasy III, and other than annoying requirements to unlock the Onion Knight class, I had fun with that one.

Isn't there a capture card people can use to record footage from their 3DS (unless they're expensive)? I remember Vixy showcasing some gameplay footage off her 3DS when she upgraded her PC plus livestreamed some 3DS games like Azure Striker Gunvolt on Twitch a couple of times before.

Yeah but you have to mod your 3DS to use it, and its expensive (and probably discontinued), and it only works with normal non-XL models.

I think it costed around $400-500 to do, I know a heavily underrated  Let's Player opened up a tip jar to fund his during the Summer, and his subscribers funded it immediately because his community is pretty awesome.

Whoops, I was thinking of III for some reason. So as punishment, I checked out FF IV on DS/PC to see what was I missing out on. Well now I know what to add to my ever-growing Steam wishlist...

It's worth it since the DS version of 4 is very different than the original game.  Though that one Hummingway sidequest is still total bullshit.

Indeed. I didn't really like the Augments either. I honestly preferred being able to swap out party members.
Title: Re: The Final Fantasy Thread ~ For all your Chocobo Needs!
Post by: Sakura Leic on December 10, 2014, 11:32:06 PM
I didn't mind the augments, I just wish they were clearer on how they worked.  At least you can get one for Edge that allows him to have a Front Row attack power even when he's in the back row and Dual Cast for Rosa is very helpful.  Not to mention the game is much harder than the original.

Besides if you want switching party members you probably shouldn't be playing 4 in the first place since it is not known for that at all for the main game and the first half of the After Years.

The one thing I hated about IV was the ridiculous requirement to obtain the Onion equipment.

A freaking 0.4% chance that the Dragons will drop the colored tails. Of course, getting the equipment is completely optional, but it doesn't make it any less strenuous.

Ah yeah I didn't even get to that part yet, and the Rainbow Pudding had the same drop rate.  Seriously you shouldn't do that in the middle of a side quest chain!

And let's not forget the Pink Tail too.

13's updates to bring the game into the modern era of PC games (AKA, graphics options and more resolutions besides 720p) are coming tomorrow.

They apparently already added a confirmation for exiting when you try to quit in Full Screen mode (It took them till november to do that, and besides flipping Confirm and Cancel in the Asian versions that's all they did for that month).

Its good to see they're trying to fix the game but this [parasitic bomb] shouldn't happen post-launch.

(I also notice now that 13-2's getting all of the DLC for free except for a Preorder Bonus, a 360 exclusive thing, and the "Hey we paid EA and Ubisoft to have a Mass Effect Outfit and AssCreed outfit so here you go" DLC.)

Again, good to know they're putting more care into this despite it basically being an afterthought.

So XIII-2 is out on Steam now, and people are varying between the optimization not being as bad as XIII's, and it being worse. But it's definitely not called a major improvement by any so far, even if it is better optimized. And they only have like five screenshots that primarily advertise Lightning and what I presume is the opening parts/fight of the game. Way to still unwittingly (or intentionally) attempt to mislead customers again into actually thinking Lightning is more than just a fancy cameo / plot catalyst role along with a bonus optional party member for this game, Square.

Pfft.

Oh, and 13's update is up, unlike 13-2 (Which has a plethora of resolutions between 720p and 1080p available) 13 only has 720p and 1080p.

EDIT: Running the game once gave me the full set of resolution changes.

As for FFX/X-2, wasn't that announced way back to be coming to the PS4 or was I thinking of the Vita version? In any case I imagine it'll be fine on PS4, I doubt they'll have any issues porting it.

I'm guessing Lightning herself is more popular in japan than over here? Might explain Square wanting to keep pushing her despite how decisive her games were? I honestly don't mind Lightning myself, it's just the first FF 13 I hate; with the last two being decent RPGs at the very least.

Like including Re:Coded in the ReMIX instead of KH3D. No one wants that piece of [parasitic bomb].

Heck, even a cinematic movie would have been passable, though if it was a playable game, the ReMIX would be one of the greatest [tornado fang]ing collections in recent memory. Three of the greatest KH games on one disc.

SUCH a missed opportunity. Huge.

We're still on the PS3, rather than ports for the PS4 (although if the FFX/X-2 remasters are going to PS4, then the KH remixes are too probably), so there's no touchpad on a controller to use to mimic the touchscreen capabilities of 3D. Not to mention re-releasing an HD version when the game is still relatively fresh would [acid burst] off a lot of fans and such, and the 3DS is a relatively strong/popular system in Japan so there shouldn't be much worry about that in comparison to Capcom's methods. The Remixes are more so meant to get people hyped up and prepared for KH3 in one (or rather two) convenient location(s), and although it was relatively minor, Re:Coded did get some bare referencing in terms of plot in DDD. Odds are having its cutscenes on 2.5 as a refresher will have some relevance when 3 comes around.

Nope.
Quote
"We're never going to release [the demo] as a stand-alone piece down the line," Scott Strichart, associate product marketing manager for Square Enix, wrote in the blog post. "Secondly, it's intended to be a special gift for those of you who purchase early - the demo will be limited to the 'Day One' edition of the game, meaning that only the first shipment is going to have the demo in it. So if the demo is something you think you might like, we highly encourage you to pre-order or to be quick about getting to the store on launch day, March 17th, 2015."

Feeling [tornado fang]'d over yet? I sure am.

How much you want to bet KH3's inevitable demo gets the same treatment.

Hoping for balance and the elimination of the wonky health system from the PSP games.

I know this is way too much to ask of SquareEnix because they just run off in random directions without thinking things through. They're all about cinematics over gameplay and balance, and also have a hardon for convoluted systems.

[youtube]! No longer available (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHDoYM3CVK4#)[/youtube]

Things of note:
Versus XIII/XV-style gameplay and exploration, at least in cities. Shows bits and pieces of the bombing mission and aftermath, nothing up to Tifa of course. Voice acting is a bit questionable for Wedge, definitely. Not a lot of gameplay shown overall, but the combat system seems to have a 'special gauge' that allows for more powerful attacks when filled without distinctly being Limit Breaks. Cutscenes are being completely reworked and the game won't be 1:1 to the original if the Midgar plate surface redesigns are anything to go by.

Okay......this definitely has more of my attention now.

I also like Barret's new shades, but Cloud is so pastey, his complexion is pretty bad.  But yeah I hope Wedge gets a bit better, but even if he doesn't it's not like we're going to have to deal with it for even half of the first part of the game.

I'm actually kind of looking forward to this, but I need to how they'll handle Materia.

Yeah, Cloud looks sickly, but I was referring to the gameplay.

It's exactly like XV. And as someone who played the XV demo, the gameplay mechanics are not very solid. The choppy framerate doesn't help matters, either.

They have a lot of work to do.

Seems the remake is going to explore the backgrounds of Jesse, Biggs, and Wedge more before they bite the dust again.  Should be interesting.

I suspect more time will be spend in Midgar in general. Which is fine, because it was pretty much the most interesting locale in the game in the first place.

Well it took them long enough but it's finally coming.  Now if only the 5 and 6 ports actually had some effort put into them and not just the cruddy mobile versions ported to the PC which also seem to have so stability issues.

They did announce very early that they're trying to link all of the spin-off materials together in this game--which is the reason they justify making it episodic. They claim that this will be a much bigger game than the original.

I've never been a big fan of the action system from Kingdom Hearts. It always felt janky to me--especially casting spells. They were always so underwhelming and they seemed to miss a lot--maybe I was just bad at the game?

Which Kingdom Hearts are you talking about?

BbS perfected the battle system.

Doubt anyone here plays FF14 but I'm a big fan of the game so this is pretty big for me. 23rd Patch 3.2 of Heavensward Drops.

MY BODY IS READY

1- New Primal Fight: Waring Triad from FF6 were introduced at the end of Heavensward, we fight our first one this patch-complete with remix of Atma Weapon theme. New Primal Battle looks amazing-they really recreated the old FF6 sprites well.

2 - The Feast: PVP stuff-new arena looks neat-personal limit breaks; might give PvP a try now.

3 - Hall of the Novice: Mostly for new players-will help them learn how to dodge AoEs and how team play works-great idea makes early dungeons more fun to play and less us trying to teach new players.  8D

4 - Stone, Sky, Sea : Will allow players to fight a training dummy and test if they have the DPS output for late game content like level 60 dungeons, Extreme Primals and Raids. Pretty handy really.

5 -Orchestrion : New furniture for houses and Free Company Mansions, allows players to change the BGM of the house-new CDs can be found from dungeons as drops as well as Primals apparently?

6 - New Beast Tribe quests, new dailies missions and special items to get from them. New Mount as always.

7 - Anti-Castle: new story dungeon-looks bloody amazing, design is gorgeous and thoes dolls look kinda familiar.  O^O

8 - Lost City of Ampador (Hard Mode) : Optional dungeon I imagine-seems your exploring more of the city than last time, again love the design of the place.

9 - New Inspector Hildabrant quests, most excited for these they are freaking halrious. Plus the last ones had Gilgamesh(Greg)/Enkidu and Ultros/Typhoon in them : >

10 - Lots of new recipes for armors and weapons plus new glamors and hairstyles.

11 - Alexander Midas: Next chapter of the Alexander Primal Raid story, looks way more varied than 3.05' Alexander was, and hey theres a city inside of Alexander---and we fight Voltron?  8D

12 - Oh an new story quests obviously-I hear this will be the end of the heavensward arc from the expansion for the time being with every patch after covering the other story threads (Nidhog, the Empire, the Ascians ect..) up until the next Expansion.

One thing they didn't mention was the new Primal themed gear that can be obtained from gathering the new tome stones (dropped at the end of level 60 content), it will be replacing Esoteric Gear for the weekly Tome grind (normally you can only get 420 a week) with Eso gear and tomes being down graded to the normal tomes you get from level 60 stuff.

Kinda sad they didn't announce glamors for Arcanist/Summoner/Scholar Egis but oh well.

Anyone else play FF14 besides me here?  8D

Well, Final Fantasy XV has been delayed to November 29, 2016 which is a good thing since it'll give SE the time they need to polish the game up and fix some bugs that could potentially harm the game.

Also, FFXV wins Gamescom's Best RPG Award on this year's Gamescom. I guess the latest mainline Final Fantasy is getting some positive feedback at Gamescom.

Yeah apparently there was gonna be a Day 1 patch but they still felt it wasn't polished enough so they're pushing it back to incorporate the patch into the game while adding a few more things.

Which is nice. They cited how not everyone who plays FF15 will have internet access and how they didn't want to alienate those players by requiring a downloadable patch to play the game.
