Enjoy this clip I made, mocking everything to X's early poor hunter skills, to Zero's loss of Iris, to Double's transformations, to G-Gundam voice actors.

I have a Japanese Roommate and I asked him to spell it out in english from the Japanese text.

He said it reads "M-A-R-T-Y"

From what little he is able to translate for me (he is learning English) it seems that she is quite antagonistic to X.

There is this one scene in the X2 Manga where she invites him aboard her pirate ship and he points out that she has changed and he lists some of her previous character flaws and she shouts in his face that he changed as well (she accused him of being impolite I think) at which point X observes that she is nicer and kinder now. Shortly after another period of banter-she shoots him out of the ships torpedo bay.

As Marty looks at X through the window, her vice commander enters and makes an observation about her behavior concerning X. Apparently somewhere on her ship she has a holographic replica of X that she vents her emotions to-be they sad, happy, angry, depressed, lonely, etc.

Marty promptly punches him into a wall accusing him, "you peaked!"

If I understood my roommate correctly, there is even one scene where the Vice commander told X that Marty likes him but I'll have to check that out again.

In the X3 manga she saves X from getting his head scrambled by a drill by tossing him his armor chips, fighting Bit in the process. There is a scene where she seems to be cowering beside X only to regain her composure, kick X in the side, and proclaim "I can take care of myself!"

When she urges X not to enter Doppler's fortress, X goes anyway and she tells him to come back alive to which he says, "No promises!"

How does she respond to this? by calling him "Stupid!!"

Despite this she does seem to genuinely care for X as demonstrated by the fact that she beats herself up for letting X walk to his death by entering Doppler's fortress.

On a side note, Marty has no reverence for respected officials as she casually refers to Dr. Cain as "Grandpa!"

Many thanks!!

I seem to recall a giant version of the picture. Do we have access to that one?

Do we have any way to translate the new profiles?

How do you convert Flash sites to highlightable text?

This movie was awesome!!

They actually supplied plausible explanations on the origins of sniper joes and wily's fortress.

This movie made me see the Light-Wily relationship in a new light.

They are pretty much scientific versions of Goku and Vegeta after the Frieza Saga

Goku is a care free highly successful fighter who sees Vegeta as a friend and is totally oblivious to the fact that his success is driving his "Friend" crazy with homicidal jealousy and that said "friend" hates him in general and wants to surpass/kill him so he can rule the universe unopposed.

Dr. Light is a humanitarian who just wants to help people with his robots but he is totally ignorant of the fact that his partner Dr. Wily is starved of fame and attention and is a power hungry mad man.

Personally I think this newly released summary is similar to the "three keys" section of MMZOCW: storyline material that was in the early stages of the series but ultimately abandoned.

I'm just saying that knowing Sigma, I'd expect him to wait until he is 100% ready before going through with the attack.

Bottom line, we have no idea why Sigma's Belial form looked incomplete or what Sigma did this time that made it far stronger than anything he ever had before? Other than the fact capcom said so?

We have no story reason?

Sigma's scheduled maintenance was probably just a precaution. But even Sigma does not determine when people will barge into his room looking for battle. What was he to do, retreat?

Or he could wait for his body to get said maintenance BEFORE launching the the Jakob offensive. That way it doesn't matter when they arrive.

X / Re: Sigma's Belial Form (X8)

Being scheduled to undergo maintenance doesn't mean the body wasn't complete, it means the opposite.

How so?

According to dictionary.com

Maintenance is defined as "care or upkeep, as of machinery or property" "means of upkeep, support, or subsistence; livelihood"

It still needed support . Bottom line his body was not ready. Why fight?

BACK ON TOPIC

Sigma has always been arrogant, but not stupid so why would he initiate the takeover of the jakob project before his body was complete?

It had to cross Sigma's memory that the last time he went all out (X5), the hunters arrived much earlier than he expected and attacked him before it was complete. So why not wait for his body to undergo maintaince before launching his final rebellion this time around?

On the subject of Sigma dying in space on X4 and by extention X8, I think you guys overlooked something.

Sigma did not blow up on the final weapon and return in a virus state on earth.

If you watch the final weapon animation during the credits you see what appears to be a ship taking off from the final weapon and heading to earth. It occurs at the end of the credits before the epiloge.

This is undoubtly either Sigma in a new body or the remains of his current body that he used in the fight, piloting back to earth to get exposeure to the virus.

This is very similar to the final battle of X3. Before the lab blows up you see X and Zero teleport out but before the explosion is over you hear a third teleportation noise which is Sigma himself.

So maybe the loss of viral presence on the moon theory holds some weight with Belial Sigma's final death.

BTW, Sigma has always been arrogant, but not stupid so why would he initate the takeover of the jakob project before his body was complete? Surely he would have learned from the Final Sigma W body that the hunters reach him faster than expected.

Thankyou sir, but I mentioned the death of Red (9/10 Red Alert Members) and Magna Centipede's infection (Magna Centipede’s corruption and spread of the virus).

Sigma started two wars (X4, X7)
Three uprisings (MHX, X3, X8)
and masterminded four major terrorist attacks (Xtreme, Xtreme 2, X5) , two of which he participated in directly.

In the course of these actions he personally launched a missile attack on Abel City, unleashed at least 10 berserk mechaniloids, slaughtered at least 11 hunters, broke Vile out of prison, attacked the central highway, spread the virus all over the world infecting many hunters in the process, killed Gate in cold blood, beat Storm Eagle into submission and forced him to take over the airport, created the Zero Virus, corrupted and/or indirectly caused the deaths of Mac, Dr. Doppler, all infected residents of Doppler Town including Bit and Byte, the 8 mavericks of X5, 9/10 Red Alert Members, Techno and Midi, ordered Double to murder 8 members of X’s unit, indirectly caused Zero to kill Colonel and Iris, was indirectly responsible the deaths of General and all of the casualties of the Great War, attempted to destroy the earth with the Repliforce Final Weapon, hired Dynamo to crash the Space Colony into the Earth killing millions, ordered the planting of bombs on the legs of the central highway, deployed the Bee Bladders on Awakening Road, directed Chill Penguin’s takeover of the missile base and attempt to cause an avalanche, Octopus’s hostile takeover of the Marine city, Spark Mandrill’s attack on the power stations, Kuwanger’s takeover of the tower, Flame Mammoth’s takeover of the industrial plants, Armadillo’s energy mine takeover, Sting Chameleon’s forest attacks, Crystal Snail’s takeover of the energen crystal mine, Flame Stag’s attempt to cause an ice age with volcanic ash, Magna Centipede’s corruption and spread of the virus, Wire Sponge’s attack on the weather control station, Sonic Ostrich’s attempted missile strikes, Morph Moth’s takeover of the junkyard, Wheel Gator’s attack on city with his dinosaur tank, the bribery of Bubble Crab to fight naval battles, was behind the attack on the mother computer, Dr. Doppler’s attack on the Hunter Base, masterminded the Erasure terrorist attack, Dragoon’s attack on the Sky Lagoon which killed millions and caused the Great War, was responsible for Mega Scorpio's rampage, Hynard’s attack on the Lava factory, Anteator’s electrosphere virus, Stonekong’s attack on the forest division, Tonion’s radio tower takeover, Warfly’s naval attack, Crowrang’s Aerial assault, Boariski’s attempted bombing of the highway, Gungarro’s occupation of the underground weapons base, directed the 3 giant crab mechaniloids’ attack on Noah’s Park, Burn Rooster’s riot in the “Maverick Dump,” Giga Bolt Man-o-War’s energy hijack of Megalopolis, Pandemonium’s theft of the rocket data, Yeti’s sabotage of the environmental system, Trilobite’s attack on the space mineral mine, Antonion’s manipulation of the gravity facility, Dark Mantis’ illegal weapons production, Sunflower’s sabotage of the Troia facility, the kidnap of Lumine, and the takeover of the “Jakob” Project.

In summation, Sigma is an evil, cold, calculating, machiavellian, manipulative, Darwinian, hitler-esque sociopathic military leader with Luciferian ambitions, brilliant tactics, and inability to know when he has been beat.

You simply don't understand the true meaning of becoming an irregular of one's own accord.

Care to explain?

Sigma game to Vile in MHX because "[he needed] someone who could go maverick of their own accord."

18
X / Re: Sigma and the Jakob Project
« on: January 24, 2010, 12:10:15 AM »
The idea is that Sigma planned everything. Lumine just went with Sigma's plan because it nicely fit with what he wanted, so he just waited till the time was right for him to take center stage.

It means "becoming Sigma", his DNA influencing their thinking. Becoming irregulars of their own accord. Setting in motion that which can't be stopped; evolution.

But reploids could go maverick before Sigma's MHX rebellion. They were just reploids, who just as humans do, turn to a life of crime.

When I quote something, it's usually all we have. And you shouldn't expect it to be online. There are no full game translations except for X1 and X2.

This is what I have for X8:

Interesting. Where did you get access to this?

Finally, does this mean that Lumine's plan was to let himself get kidnapped so that the hunters would kill Sigma, and he could take his place?

I trust by "awakening" he meant Sigma somehow activating his data within the reploids?

X / Re: Sigma and the Jakob Project

In the game. Stop assuming we have translations of everything.

The game gives options to read the japanese script? I only assume you have translations because you quote them.

X / Re: Sigma and the Jakob Project

I can answer the first one:

Who gives the suits their power?
The people.  Or in this case, the new age Reploids. Lumine might have even had some kind of a hand.

That's assuming the Federation Government is a democratic republic. Plus the NG Reploids were products of the Jakob project. They could not have had a hand in the matter.

22
X / Re: Sigma and the Jakob Project
« on: January 20, 2010, 12:45:52 AM »
In other words, you two don't know either.

I personally feel the English game is less than clear. What with Sigma saying "all his doing" and then Lumine disagreeing by implicating it's only natural that Sigma's DNA was included. The Japanese script makes Sigma a bit more precise "from the very planning stages, the Jakob Project was all my doing."

Two questions on that: How did Sigma infiltrate the government to the point where he can influence the suits to build Jakob and where is the japanese script?

Sigma said that the Jakob project was "all his doing." Was he referring to the fact that his rebellions created man's desire to leave the planet, or was he saying that he actually manipulated government leaders into doing it? If so how could he have done that?

Zero / Re: Was Copy X really evil?
« on: January 06, 2010, 05:16:17 PM »
If the series ended after Zero 1, I would have been slightly more sympathic to Copy X because that game alone conveyed the idea that he was just doing the reploid purge for the purpose of doing a preemptive strike against potential mavericks.

But as Zero 2 revealed, that had nothing to do with it. He was killing them off to save energy. He could have saved energy by not creating more reploids or pantheons, or devoted more time to research a better energy source. Human society must pay the consequences for their decisions. It was their move to play god by creating reploids.

That's what this is about- consequences; we see the same problem today with the bailouts. Instead of letting poor decisions fail (as painful as that is, it pains me to write this) we dodge the consequences and send a message that if you make poor decisions we will bail you out-thus encouraging more bad decisions and making the problem worse.

Copy X was a mass murderer comparable to Charles Logan in 24: sacrificing his people not for freedom or protection but to ensure affluent lifestyles for the citizens.

The only thing I sympathize about Copy X is the fact that while Ciel was a technological genius, she and the people who commisioned her to create Copy X were idiots.

Bob: Dude, X sealed the Dark Elf with his body!

Frank: We better do something or the people will panic!

Bob: lets get that child prodigy to create a perfect Physical copy of X and say he is the real X!

Frank: Perfect! The fact that he is a physical copy means he'll have all the experience and judgement as the real one right?
