It's too bad you can't see these little details most of the times unless you pause though.Actually come to think of it, didn't the game pause for a split second when you hit someone hard in Brawl?

Who here likes retro games for their fantastic difficulty levels?Sometimes. It seems to be a certain kind of difficulty though... somehow.
I've played some difficult games that just make me go "yeah, no" and quit, while others make me ragequit, then after stewing and simmering for a bit I always come back with a new idea on how to get through.
But while I enjoy those games and loudly recommend them for their challenge, I don't often play them - after the first playthrough it feels kind of meaningless, and they're not that common.
If we're talking specific games, I particularly enjoyed Fortune Summoners, despite being the little girl.

Has the girl in question acted out since this debacle exploded? If not, that might be a good sign of a cool head.

Emulation / Re: How come PSX emulation has loading times?
« on: December 07, 2013, 12:19:49 AM »
Well yeah, but the parts loading the data and the RAM itself are also that much faster than they were back with the Playstation, so I'd expect it to be considerably faster.
I guess if the devs built around the loading times being there in their game, they'd have to be enforced by the emulator, though.

I mean, without a CD to spin up, surely it should be nearly instant, since modern hard-drives are so much faster than CD readers back then...

Comment says "The users xbox one console won't power down, they're referring to the host server. Ex: mmo players, when a message pops up on the screen saying something like "server maintenance in 15 minutes" the server will go down, interrupting matches."
Is that it?
Is that it?

So it's if your initial stab downwards hits just right, rather than if you land on someone while the sword is still pointed down?
