閃乱カグラ 少女達の真影

Quote
"Famitsu has first details this week on "Kagura," a new side scrolling action game from Marvelous Entertainment for the 3DS. In Kagura, you take control of a sexy female ninja. Good thing she's sexy, as her clothes will apparently tear off as she incurs damage! The game features character designs from Nan Yaegashi and scenario work from Yukinori Kitajima (428, Okamiden)."

Asuka (voiced by Hitomi Harada)

Quote
Bust size 90cm. This second year student has a black ponytail and wears knee high socks. She's low on her ninja skills at present.

Ikaruga (voiced by Asami Imai)

Quote
Bust size 93cm. She really does look like Phantasy Star Potable Online 2 Infinity's Nagisa character! A third year student, Ikaruga is head of the class. While normally nice, when she gets mad there's no stopping her!

Katsuragi (voiced by Yuu Kobayashi)

Quote
Bust size 95cm. This third year student likes to sexually harass cute girls. She has long blonde hair and wears her shirt with all her front buttons down. She wears a "no bra necktie" (I think you can figure out what that is from the artwork).

Munenori (voiced by Kaori Mizuhashi)

Quote
Bust size 85cm. Yagyu wears her hair in pigtails and has an eye patch. Although a first year student, she has excellent skill. (Note: our preview yesterday miswrote her name as Munenori.)

Hibari (voiced by Yuka Iguchi)

Quote
Bust size 80cm. This first year student works hard but causes a lot of problems.

News and Announcements / Rockman X1 now available on Virtual Console~!
« on: April 06, 2011, 06:56:28 PM »
Rockman X1 is now available on the Japanese Shopping Channel for 800 Wii Points.

For the few that wants to find out how well it plays on the VC, I made a video of it in action. This counts getting it from the Shopping Channel and reading the in-game manual. Playing only one stage wasn't enough for this awesome game, so I decided to beat the whole thing!! It also shows glitches that still works on the game, and many other surprises. Please enjoy it!

If you missed out on Rockman 1-4 for Virtual Console, you can still see them in action.

On Nintendo of Japan's official Virtual Console site, it confirms that the first game in the X series, Rockman X, will appear in its unedited delicious form on Wii's Virtual Console service anytime in April 2011, along with Sunsoft's Hebereke/Ufouria on March 29th (it's already out in the US and Europe tho), and SquareSoft's Chrono Trigger also showing up on April 2011. Rockman X will cost 800 Wii points and it will be a great addition in ANY Wii owner's VC collection. The game might also have a American and European release later on, hopefully sometime this year.

After so many years, it's finally here. Virtual Console is so great~ :cookie:

Gaming / The "Doukutsu Monogatari" (Cave Story) Thread [PC/PSP/Wii/DSi/3DS]
« on: February 11, 2011, 12:15:39 PM »
Wait, what does it say at the very end of the topic name?

That's right...

Cave Story is getting a complete 3DS make-over.
With video interview right here (shows Egg Corridor, plus Quote and Balrog fighting each other.

The game will still be played as a 2D (or 2.5D to some of you) side-scroller game, but will make use of the 3DS features, and all the characters, items and environments has been completely redrawn from scratch. Some of the environments like Mimiga Village and Egg Corridor has a more darker cave look to them compared to the brighter original look of the PC version. The music will be remade too, but with extra care, so that they sound as awesome as the original music.

The game is said to come out sometime after the 3DS launch day, so anytime between March and June, maybe closer to Summertime.

http://www.thebitbag.com/2011/02/04/devil-may-cry-collection-in-the-works-for-ps3360/

"I’ve got word from an insider that Capcom will be releasing a Devil May Cry Collection for PS3/360 later this year. There’s no details on what will be included but we can guess that DMC 1-4 will all be released in one package. I would assume each PS2 game will be upgraded to HD. This also means at least 2 discs for the Xbox 360."

And I guess this is now a DMC general topic. >U<

While the Tokyo Game Show will start soon and have a playable demo of Mega Man Universe ready for play, Snow at Capcom Unity keeps us updated with a new interesting look at what the game will offer in the case of customization.

The Character Customization lets you swap different body parts on your character and that will also give you different weapons to use in the game, while the Stage Creation, similar to the one in Mega Man Powered UP (Rockman Rockman), will let you construct a level with the help of specific tiles and enemies, and also be able to share them with others whenever one feels like it.

Now, something you might notice, is that with each body part and tweaks done to the character, there are different attributes that will be raised or lowered. There's LE for Life Energy, WE for Weapon Energy, SHOT which could be the strength or the speed rate of the shot that you fire with the buster, MOVE is the movement speed of the character, and JUMP is the strength of the jumping ability, meaning you can jump higher with a long bar. Along with these attributes, you will also gain a set amount of Weapons, enhancements in the sense of Chip Slots, and also items you can use through Item Payload.

In the Character Select screen, you can also see Kimoto-style Roll who will help you out with instructions or hints in the game.

We will find out more about the game within the coming week.

Entertainment / The "Fort Boyard" Thread

Fort Boyard (TV series)

A game show where celebrities and famous people are joined in group to enter this fort known as Fort Boyard, and inside it there are rooms with different tasks and obstacles they have to complete to get 7 keys and later be able to unlock the gate that leads to gold and riches. If time runs out in each room, the contestant gets locked inside a cell for a while before they can come back to play again. They also get to send one contestant to answer a riddle told by a wise man, hoping to get a key or a note for solving a clue later on in the game session. Each team has usually an hour to get 7 keys and collect the notes that will help them figure out the word that they have to spell out on the ground with their feet or round objects, and that lets them collect the gold at the end of the trip. The show is usually known as "Fångarna på fortet" over here (the prisoners on the fort). ^^;

It's among my favorite game shows, and it was airing on many European countries and started around the 90's.
I'm wondering if anyone else has seen any seasons of it before? :3

Official project or just doing some personal drawings for the blog, the artist Hitoshi Ariga is now at this very moment hosting a live stream known as "Arigamegamix Stream" (similar name as his blog) where he is drawing Rockman comics, sketches and other things, and if you are interested, take a look inside. You can join the chat too, however, it's a good idea if you are able to comment in Japanese. English should be fine too, in small doses or transcribed in kana.

Gaming / I say GOOD things about your video games!
« on: June 03, 2010, 04:36:44 PM »
Tell me a game, ANY game, and I will (try to) impress you by saying at least 1 good thing about it.

It can be any game, it doesn't matter the genre or how awesome or horrible the game already is.
If a game is already good, I will add more coolness to its awesomeness. x3

Import games, games that hasn't come out yet or games you have never played before are fine too. ^^b

If you want to ask about a specific version or specific installment of a game series, that works too.

I want to do this myself tho, so please don't say anything unless I say it's OK.

One game at a time please.

News and Announcements / Closer Look: Rockman 10 Image Soundtrack
« on: May 04, 2010, 02:38:07 AM »
The image soundtrack for Rockman 10 is finally out.

There are so many things that comes with the package. Let's take a closer look.

Closer Look series:
- Rockman 10 Original Soundtrack
- Remastered Tracks Rockman Zero Mythos

(click)
This is the cover for the soundtrack, where we see Forte leading a music band together with the Light bots. On the other side of the cover paper, we can see the starting page for Koji Izuki's Rockman 10 manga called -Extra F-.

(click)
On the next few pages, we see a tracklist for the soundtrack, and all the people that are behind each track. Most of it is written in kanji, but a little guessing work will do a neat trick and you will be able to identify who they all are. If not, you will see their romanized names a few pages further. On the second page is the Producer & Arrangers Comments, with Ippo Yamada, Ryo Kawakami and Hiroki Isogai.

(click)
Next we see Track Notes, with personal notes from Ippo Yamada on each track that's on the CD. Way on the edge of the next page is Artist Comments, where a couple of people that helped create the songs in the CD are sharing their own thoughts about things Rockman and the CD itself. On this page we see Yoshino Aoki, Masato Kouda, Satori Utsumi and Seiko Kobuchi.

(click)
On this page we see more Artist Comments. This time it's for Manami Matsumae, Yasuaki BUNBUN Fujita, Minae Fujii, Mari Yamaguchi, Yuko Takehara, Makoto Tomozawa, Akari Kaida and Shusaku Uchiyama. On the right side of these pages is the Lyrics for the track One And Only, sung by Toru Itoga, and the song is a mix of all 3 Special Stages (Enker, Punk and Ballade) from Rockman 10.

(click)
Turning to the next pages, we see the Lyrics to the Staff Roll track, this one being called Last Exit, also sung by Toru Itoga. Right next to it, is a pixel montage of mostly every enemy in the game, along with their official names.

(click)
Next we see a bunch of profiles for the people who worked on the soundtrack, and also describing things they have done in the past.

(click)
On the next pages, we see the Credits section, where it shows every single person that has worked on the soundtrack, including publishing, packaging and all kinds of hard work done to the soundtrack in general. On the right side is the very last page for the -Extra F- manga. Why is it showing up there? Well, it turns out that you have to read the manga from the other direction. Go back to the first page mentioned at the top of the news post and then read the manga in the following order (from Right to Left):

(click)
Wily crash-lands with his capsule down to Dr. Right's Laboratory, talking about the Robotenza that has infected the robots around the world. Going out to find a cure, Rock puts on his helmet in a attempt to cure Roll from the virus, as well as the other robots around the world. Blues shows up here to give a helping hand too. Forte and Gospel crashes nearby some ruins.

(click)
Forte is interrupted by Blade Man, but with a big grin on his face, Forte fights him.

(click)
The fights gets more rough, and things are getting tough for Forte, but in the end, Blade Man is no match to him. Rock and Blues shows up near the same ruins, and they see Blade Man beaten to a crisp. Blues talks about the Vaccine Data with Rock.

(click)
The next robot master is Strike Man, and Forte is ready to slice him up with a Triple Blade attached to his buster.

(click)
Forte slices up Strike Man and his Rebound Strikers. Forte also fights against Sheep Man and Pump Man with a insanely crazed expression on his face.

(click)
The last couple of fights are on these pages. Forte fights against Solar Man, Chill Man, Nitro Man and Commando Man. After that, Forte boasts about his awesomeness, before things goes wrong and he falls down flat on the ground.

(click)
It looks like Forte has been infected by the Robotenza. Gospel runs over to help him, by giving him a vaccine to cure Forte from the virus. Gospel swallows it though. Both of them rush over to Wily's station way way up into space and things go boom-boom from there.

After that, you end the manga by reading the page with the Credits segment next to it.

(click)
Here is the cover art for the soundtrack disc itself. Rock plays the guitar on the reflecting plate, with both white and blue colors to match the theme of the soundtrack in full.

(click)
The back cover of the soundtrack package shows the tracklist for the soundtrack. Turning the cover around, we see a complete list of the Inti Creates and Capcom team that worked together in creating Rockman 10 for Wii, PS3 and 360. On the right side of the staff list, we can also see a full list of every single person that composed each track for the Original Soundtrack. If this wasn't known before, now you know.

(click)
Inside the booklet, there was a extra paper sheet flying out of it. This is a survey that you can fill out, with some questions like the version of Rockman 10 you own, which other Inti Creates soundtracks you own, and other things. At the bottom of that paper, you can see a square box covering Rockman's face. There was a similar sheet of paper inside the Original Soundtrack, with Rockman's face on it. You could take a scissor and cut that piece of the paper out and then glue it on Rock's face on this survey. Turning the paper around, there is some empty fields where you have to write your name, address, gender, e-mail and other info. Then you send the survey to Inti Creates for something fun.

(click)
The spinecard on the outer side of the soundtrack package has detailed info about the soundtrack, as well as a list of the last 5 soundtracks that Inti Creates has published. Turning the spine card around, you can see the colorful sprites from the game, with some kind of diagram drawn in the middle. It looks like some kind of playful thing where you have to match the instruments at the bottom of the spine card with the sprites on the top of it. That sounds like a fun activity. ^^

That's all about the booklet and other things about the soundtrack.
If you can afford it, please buy the soundtrack from any store available, including CD Japan.
