I hope you have a lot of useless video game trivia on hand, because this is going to be DANGEROUS.
The idea is simple. I'll ask you a question, and the first one to post with the correct answer wins one point. However, if you get it wrong, you lose two points. I can foresee plenty of Negative scores, because these aren't typical video game trivia questions. These are questions that may regard the story, gameplay, titles, anything. They could be trick questions, they could have multiple parts, they could even be both. They're not multiple choice, however.
Alright, here's the first question:
In Wario Ware Inc., you have how many seconds to complete one level 2 microgame?
-
Made in Ore (the newest game) tells me it's 10 seconds. ^^
In Otomedius Gorgeous, there's a boss who is a character from another game by the same company. Who is that character?
Hint: The company is Konami. The character's hair color is blue.
-
I'm going to go ahead and say Goemon. That hint gave it right away.
What two early PS2 games featured a gameplay mechanic called Geo-Mod?
-
Red Faction? >v<
I'm going to go ahead and say Goemon. That hint gave it right away.
Um no... Next hint: She's a princess. Both of the games are shmups.
Next question:
How many weapons are there in Super Ghouls n Ghosts?
-
Vixy: Princess Irene ^^
Other Vixy: 6= knife, bow, lance, weird knife, magic braclet, torch I think? o.o
-
1. Yay~ <3 And you know the game she's from~? o w o
2. Weird Knife isn't exactly right, but I know what you mean.
There's the "Weird Knife" plus another one, a total of 7 weapons. ^^
-
10
Crossbow,Enchanted Crossbow,Crossbow Magic,Axe,Dagger ,Scythe ,Torch ,Bracelet,Lance ,Blade
-
Cephi was the closest, so she can ask the next question. ^^
It was Hand Axe and Sickle.
-
I know it's not right, but it is weird >u< Ummm...the weird bouncing off the walls laser? or the salt? wait those are castlevania o.o;
I don't remember ^^;
EDIT: Oh hmmm, there is an SNES game where you start in "Darkside". You have to visit a number of buildings before you go go to the "Lightside," how many buildings are there?
-
6?
-
nope ^^
-
You sure it's not five towers? o.o The game is Terranigma~ ^^
-
correct~ :cookie:
-
Damn I knew the game and yet got the number wrong :P
-
In the very first SNES game from the same developer as Cephi's question, how many continents are there, and what's their names?
-
does it count that I remember the music when moving from one to the other? >w<;
this one is tough, I only remember one of the continents, maybe two ^^;
-
Hint: They are also called Maps, Towns and/or Islands. ^^
-
Actraiser? Fillmore, Bloodpool, Kasandora, Aitos, Northwall, Death Heim ?
-
One is missing. o.o Death Heim shouldn't really count, since you don't build anything there. >v<
-
Marahna?
-
It's your turn now~ :3
-
Yay...but I don´t know what to ask....hmmm.....Now I got one! From Mafia the city of Lost Heaven:
In which mission does the main character Tommy betray his boss for the first time?
-
May I suggest not to pick questions that only you would know? The goal isn't to make yourself look bigger, it's to make everyone else look smaller. METAPHORS FTW
Here's an example of a question some people should know:
The Gradius games are often misquoted as Shoot The Core when in fact it is ___ the core. Fill in that blank.
-
Destroy the Core~ <3
Shoot it in the Eye is fun too. >U<
-
Oh boy let's see how much I don't know.
-
Destroy the Core~ <3
Correct to the MAX. But that GeoMod Question was wrong. The answer was Red Faction and Dark Cloud, a game with a completely different GeoMod mechanic.
Let's check the scores:
me: -2
Blackhook: -1
Vixy: 0
Cephi: 1
Cephi's in the lead~!
Companies for 500: This company mostly put out pretty faithful games based on game shows. It's too bad they're out of business now. (If you know the show I'm referencing here, you'd know what to do.)
-
what is hasbro.
how bout something challenging, trebek.
-
Don't be so confident. What is GameTek.
In what 2004 game were you to pick up a Karaoke Revolution microphone and rap along?
-
Don't be so confident. What is GameTek.
uh, yeah, no.
Hasbro did every jeopardy game i know of.
-
Hasbro only got into games via Hasbro Interactive, and that only lasted a few years anyway.
Still, there's only one company I know that did only game show games, and that's GameTek.
The Question, if you missed it: In what 2004 game were you to pick up a Karaoke Revolution microphone and rap along?

"There's a ______ in the ____ of the ________. Inside that ______ is a _______. Go _______ and it will ____ you to a _____ ________, but... it won't be ____."
Fill all the blanks, and name the game.

MadLibs!
"There's a kennel in the back of the building. Inside that kennel is a manhole. Go through and it will lead you to a sewer entrance, but... it won't be easy."
I'm embaressed how long it took, I of all people should have known >w<; It was mainly "sewer entrance" that gave me a problem because I couldn't remember the exact wording, so I had to looked it up after I knew the rest so I probably shouldn't get any points ^^;
Oh, and Resident Evil/BIOHAZARD 2 ^^

Awww....I thought it wasn´t that hard.....since most of the games mentioned here I either haven´t played or ever heard of

Next one, and an easy one for those music lovers out there:
No More Heroes is also the name of a song in the album of the same name by what band?
-
The Stranglers from 1977~ :cookie:

Let's try this:

You can ask a question only after you answered one correct
-
I took the chance when Vixy left us hanging :S
-
Let's try this:

X-COM.
-
A winner is you!
I was wondering if it was a bit too easy, a lot of of people really like XCOM, so probably a lot of people read the extra text.

Alright, next:
In the first three Guitar Hero games, what were the first and last songs on each setlist?
