So, I watched a video of this game.

Do they ever shut the [tornado fang] UP?

The constant yelling and [parasitic bomb] is the most god awfully annoying [parasitic bomb] I have ever heard in a fighting game. I know yelling out move names and [parasitic bomb] gets you pumped and such, but JESUS [tornado fang] there's a damn limit and they not only went over, it they demolished the little yellow barrier that lets you know its there and ran right the [tornado fang] off a cliff.

I don't remember it being so bad. When you're in a fight you don't pay attention to that anyway.

The yelling usually doesn't bother me either. If anything, it makes me laugh.

Here are some of the tuneups the characters have received in Continuum Shift. Looks like Tager's getting a big buff, and Arakune is getting nerfed big time.

Other little things to mention:
  • New portraits, voices, animations.
  • The game's story happens in 2200. Which makes it a sequel in that sense. But it still feels more like a Champion Edition.
  • Tsubaki is pretty damn fast, but her drive is slow. Her playstyle is a lot like Order Sol.
  • Nu is dead. Replacing her is Λ-11 (Lambda), who I would guess is exactly the same as Nu, except is blonde and doesn't turn yandere around Ragna. She's already earned the nickname Ramu-chan
  • You can store an extra burst after a round. And after bursting, there's no damage penalty.
  • Guard Libra is replaced by Guard Primer. The new meter depletes if you're hit by specific moves. The size of the meter depends on the character: Tager has a big meter, Lambda has a small one.
  • The way Astral Heats work is different.
  • There may be one more new character.

The new mode they're including doesn't sound like much. Certainly not enough to make me buy it again. Playing this on a portable would be pretty awkward, too.

I think downscaling hurts the sprites a lot.

Eh, Guilty Gear played fine, this should too.

Yeah, but dumbed down a lot and sluggish. I'm with Sato, doesn't really have the "Get this game" kind of feel.

Out of curiosity, what was dumbed down in PSP Guilty Gear?

Which one? I played some of whatever one came with Judgement. It didn't seem too bad. I just can't into Guilty Gear, though.

GG is a high paced game, so when I'm playing it, my hands are fidgeting quite a bit. Not very comfortable when you have to concentrate on the screen inbetween you hands. Also, the buttons feel different compared to a PS2 controller, the lack of grips on a PSP gets in my way of comfortably holding it, you had no shortcuts by default, and the screen was shrunk to widescreen so half the characters obstructed a part of their life bar.

BlazBlue doesn't have to worry about the last complaint, as it's widescreen natively. And you'll still be able to use R as one of the shortcuts. The others still apply.

But that's just me. I'm awkward when playing any game on a portable.

I say if you don't have a PS360 but you do have a PSP, do yourself a favor and pick this up. But if you already have it on a console, there's no reason to buy this new version.

Well, I don't need that PSP version anymore.
It better not be that [tornado fang]ing "GAMES FOR WINDOWS" [parasitic bomb].
And it better not require pixel shaders... oh God, I hope it won't.

Anyway, NEWS OF THE YEAR!

I got nothing against Guilty Gear's music. But I will say I think BlazBlue's is better, if only because it has more variety. Most sounds have a more unique sound to them, especially in the guitar work. Or lack thereof in Taokaka's case.
