Speed it up? Hmm maybe I could just drop out the start, keep it original and call it good, like without the odd build up and such and maybe save that for the middle of the tune or something. I'll mess around thanks^^

Had a bunch of ideas and just threw them together.
Pick the ones that are to your liking and I will refine them.
I think it sounds good but not quite fitting to the "Maverick Hunter" vibe.

Yes! That's what it needed. I'll just redo it here then. I was just going to cut the start but things got pretty funky in the mixing.
Thinking I might have a few of you test hear some stuff before I place it up. I'm now wanting these to sound good, and like yeah. It's really turning into a great soundtrack so far.

Really nice! But I feel the drums need some some upping and better sampling, the second half when you drop the guitar is great as well. The guitar is awesome! But I feel it needs more spread, listening with headphones and it sounds like it's all on my left ear. That aside I think it'd be a great mix!


Edit: Then never mind the drums are just fine. I think yeah at times the guitar is stuck on one side.  a bit.For sure though it leaves open room for other parts of the song to flow in greatly.

Well like i said thats the best i can do with drums from my end.
As for the guitat spread i will work on that.
My headphones sadly only work on one side so im using normal speakers and it makes stero effects almost invisible.
The lead i will just duplicate the track and pan one to each side.
The rythm i will pan out as well but im fearful it may drown out the bass and piano.
I also plan to record the lead again because its not as clean as it needs to be. :3

Yeah really get that lead in there good.^^ And also yeah as I had edited above don't worry about the drums. You did pretty good with them, and the samples can just come with messing around with reverb and such.

So, that's why it sounds so awkward with the guitar. I know how that is. Seems to work both ways sometimes though, you can have headphones, but like when you listen to it outside it sounds odd until you put them on to listen to things. Also yes, just becareful not to drown out anything. I still have some probs with that myself but I'm getting better lol all about spacing and leveling the volume of things in the end.^^


Edt: Messed around and made the Boss intro tune which comes before fighting a Maverick Boss aka Bubble Crab,Wheel Gator. Not the X Hunter tune.

I recorded the lead again, spread out the guitar and worked on the drums though they still might not be loud enough.
I also used a different kit this time so it could be hit or miss. I attempted to make the drums sound more synthetic to fit in with the style.

LOVING THAT GUITAR! It sounded really good, I think I will add some more effects to it though if I can get my computer to work so far. But yeah the spread was there and it sounded pretty tight. I'm liking it! And you'll be working Flame Stag? Awesome, can't wait to hear how that comes out. The drums also sound far better this time!

Edit: nevermind can't wait to hear the final version! Had to step out so I glanced here and there.^^

Thanks! Yeah I really tried to get in the cave like feeling with Crystal Snails. I'm just now gonna aim to set the general mood to a stage with the music now. Seems to just really help better. Though it should always be that way. For reasons I was starting to go wild with it lol

I'm now going to be working Wheel Gator and Morph Moth. I think Cherry was gonna hit up Magna Centipede.

I definately love the new beat that you gave Morph Moth!
I'm not in the love with the lead but it definately suits it more the most part.
I just find it a little soft for that industrial kind of setting.

That flame Stag mix is epic! I'm not sure why though it feels like the melody with the gutiars is to far away, but it could be youtube or something. I love it otherwise. And yeah I wanted to go a lot sharper with the lead of that, but it started sounding far more out of touch with the nature I was going with things. Wanted to aim more at metal shark players stage a bit with it.

Awesome I feel that's what the problem was, the delay made things really drowny in areas, maybe get some spread in as well if you can without it feeling odd. Also the background guitar I LOVED IT! It really shredded well with the melody and sounds just as if you're to be rushing from lava spewing or just a volcano going nuts.

Also another music update on my side. Zeros battle tune. We're nearly done with this OST now. Not much more to go. And yes thanks for your patience, I keep picking up the intro stage theme and putting it down, just can't get it right yet but I'll keep you guys updated.

O.o oh wow you're right XD and yeah I think you got them all. Also glad you liked how that came out!^^ never knew it was your least fave. Glad I could make you a fan. I always thought it was a cool song for Zero at some point.

Also if you do have the lead and rhythm in yeah swing it on over!^^ I can update it to his theme here. It's Zeros you're talking about right?

On the side of the boss stages still. Hmm I now wonder how overdrive ostrich will come out? May go how it was done in MMXTreme 2 a bit with it. Hmm thinking I think I had done that same way with gators stage in areas.

It was very stale and boring! XD

Glad you enjoyed it! I even thought about going MVC3 style..but no, this is a battle tune...Not a rave dance tune. XD

Oh and yet another update got the intro stage to how I want it. I had to increase the volume on the lead a bit, but it's fast and in your face I think. You can finally see the green biker dudes last time before it all begins.

I really love what youve been doing with the percussion.
Have you tried using one of mixcraft's digital amps for the guitar?
This should help give it more bite and depth.
Its still amazing and im not criticizing it at all. :3

Thanks glad you liked it!^^ and thanks again on the percussion, I had tried some amps, but it seemed to really boost the sound of the lead guitar which was head breaking @_@ but I can mess with it more. Need to get that bite in there as you said. I'm just happy the attack and everything else is good. XD

And yus! The more serious you can take a boss fight, the better it is in my opinion. Especially a fight between X and Zero.


Edit: Amp'd up those guitars. I'll be getting yet another Intro stage up here soon. XD

The gain keep it in the middle, its already distorted. you will just get noise if you go too high.
Focus on the bass and mid tones not too much treble.
Also near the bottom left of the window will say room.
You can change the shape and the distance of the 'mic' and 'amp' to tweak the reverb.
It also has effects like tremolo and such but theu're odd and just distracting.
Im more of an analog musician, this digital stuff frustrates me! XD

Hey thanks for the tips there. I'll keep that in mind when it comes to working with more amps now. Makes sense too to keep the volume low because the effects bring it up and such. And lol you'll get used to the digital. lol makes things work so much faster in the long run XD
