On Steam's Green Light - Go Vote Now!

Hell yes. I'll buy this again for sure, just to play it on a big screen. It was posted just a few days ago, apparently.

Never played it, but I see no reason not to vote it up. Done.

Voted for it when it came up a while back.

Better not be $15, would've gotten it on the DS if it wasn't for that price.

Anyone else noticed that Steam was misspelled, just pointing it out.

Fixed.

It was 12$ when it first came out on the 3DS, I believe. Still a bit over priced for a 4 dungeon game in my opinion.

Ah!   So that was a misspelling!  I thought someone was streaming the game live earlier, so I ignored the topic.  XD

... so, how would Shantae: Risky's Revenge work on the computer anyway?  The Nintendo DS(i) doesn't exactly have a common resolution.  Or would it work like Jazz Jackrabbit 2 or Terraria do, in terms of "same size graphics, enormous playing field?"

I think it's pretty obvious it would scale up fit to the screen, like any sensible PC port of a low res 2d game to a higher, or variable, resolution would. Also like every single emulator ever. You know, like, exactly how it works on the 3DS and iOS ports.

From simple obsevation, I'll risk sounding like a fool and say that a DS Lite (nevered owned DSi/XL unfortunately) are probably within 4:3 aspect-ratio and resolutions, but a bigger playing field would be pretty sweet than some kind of up-scale. Though low-res PC games I've played like RayStorm, Panzer Dragoon, and Virtual-ON on my brother's 1080p 16:9 monitor, looks pretty good once I was able to get the right video card settings.

Let it be known: I'm a total virgin when it comes to Shantae and Disgaea, but after hearing how much of a gem the first game is, the more I want to play these games.

And speaking of Terraria, it's coming to XBLA and PSN later this year.

Well considering that Risky's Revenge was already ported to iOS and therefore made a single screen experience, I'm guessing it'll be like that.

I sincerely hope that if they do port it from the iOS version, they don't do a half-ass job of it.

I use a PS3 Controller...

If you have issues with the Xinput you should consider getting MotioninJoy to emulate it.

And Super Meat Boy is three different flavors of not fun (Those being "Too Slippery", "RANKS", and "Difficulty walls a lot of the game off to everybody but the HARDCORE PRO 10-YEAR OLD WITH PERFECT REFLEXES"), i'm glad I got it for free instead of paying money, I hate when challenge is based off of "how quick can you react" instead of actually being fun.

The iOS worked since the original game had a touch screen function, which most likely helped the transition from the eShop to the iOS quickly.

However, because of it being a PC Port, they might have to pull a Sega on this one. I remember the Sonic & Knuckles Collection port, since that one had the traditional "window view" play mode, which could work for Risky's Revenge.

And they might have to make changes to the pause menu (re-assinging the item menu as the pause menu, etc.) since I'm not sure how they'll transfer the touch-screen commands, most likely via tablet. Then again, the game is rather fast-paced, which could be a problem.

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

I didn't have problem with Super Meat Boy.
A few attempts and a bit of trial-and-error, one step at a time, it was a breeze~

Altho I already live streamed Risky's Revenge at the time it was out, I might have to look into the Steam one later. ^^

What I think is, they will take the original aspect ratio of either the iOS or DSi version, and then expand it, but they will filter the screen somehow so it will still look pretty, or add a double or triple size pixel perfect resolution setting for windowed mode, or something. XD

Oh, I didn't have a problem playing Super Meat Boy on Steam...  I just got very irritated that they kept referring to my controller's buttons by the Xbox button setup.  >_>  It doesn't help that I also had to modify the config file so my controls were actually the way I like them.  But still, no real problems.

They do it on Sonic Generations as well, so I just assume its a normal thing now.
