Subtle implication that there's more than one type of play style; trailers only showed the "tip of the iceberg."

Customization is a big part of the game. Capcom rep. strongly hinted at a stage editor of sorts.

Ryu, as well as the three Mega Man variants, are confirmed as playable characters. Hints of a large roster of playable characters.

Not only do the three Mega Men differ in appearance (Mega Man, Bad Box Art Mega Man and Rockman), they each have their own play styles and abilities. Bad Box Art Mega Man, for instance, can fire two shots at a time.

The "angry" Mega Man was designed by Masafumi Kimoto. Why is he so angry? That's just Kimoto's style, apparently.

Although the trailers made it seem like MMU is largely influenced by Mega Man 2, there's a "very good possibility" we'll be seeing content from other Mega Man games.

Mega Man Universe not making it to Wii has to do with the file size limitations of Nintendo's WiiWare service. Capcom noted they would like to be able to support a Wii version, but couldn't at this time.

Target release date of Spring 2011.

"Everything we've shown will make more sense" come Tokyo Game Show, according to the rep.

I thought the three mega men would be different, though I had doubts when I saw BBAMM [buh-bam] shooting regular plasma pellets rather than LAZER BLASTS

I knew it.  I don't know why Nintendo won't just enable USB mass storage and be done with it (SD card load times are atrocious anyway).

especially since they DO have USB ports and accept certain usb devices.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Now they are hinting that it might be CO-OP as well.

Looks like Co-Op is the next best thing.

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Not that it's proof or anything, but I'm sure that could easily be photo-shopped. Just copy/paste the life bars. While there's 4 life bars, I only see one Mega Man, which is another reason why I believe it could be photo-shopped.

In any case, where ever the source is, Co-Op would definitely be nice. :)

Oh my GOD that would automatically make it one of the best MM titles ever.

Holy hell.

Seth Killian gets interviewed. A little more info about the making of MM Universe and strong hints of showing at TGS 2010.
http://www.themmnetwork.com/2010/09/06/so-how-did-bad-box-art-mega-man-wind-up-in-universe/

So at least we finally get an official name for the "pissed off" MegaMan that will I suppose be the base for all MegaMan characters, as Sack Boy is to Little Big Planet.

Something like, "Kimoto" MegaMan, or is it "Kimono" MegaMan? It's hard to tell what he's saying in the video. But it sounds like either Kimoto, or Kimono. Not sure what the spelling is.

Kimono is a kind of dress, incidentally.

"Dress" Megaman...

Hmm....... I just realized something. It would make sense if it was called Kimoto Megaman, thus being named after its creator Masafumi Kimoto. Like how we have Inafune RockMan, named after Keiji Inafune. Though it's sad that they say the BBAMM will remain nameless.

When I first saw this trailer the other day, I was severely disappointed. In my eyes, Mega Man Universe was nothing more than another mediocre fanservice title that was meant to please Mega Man 2 fanboys. All the excitement that I had for the game (which was very little, since the teaser told us next to nothing about the game) had officially flown out the window. However, I've began to warm up to the game a little bit, once it was confirmed that Mega Man Universe was going to feature content from more games than just Mega Man 2. I think there just may be some hope for this game yet.

I think people should wait until we learnw hat features the game has. Capcom wont call it revolutionary for nothing.
people are gettign all worked up over a in production video.

There's a club for that.  It's called "Everybody", they meet at the bar.
I can't be the only person who was so desperate for such a thing as to pass the controller to a friend in X3 during character changes.

Recall that both of the main-series X titles on PS2 received mistranslations about being co-op.  As INCONCEIVABLE!!! as it is, Capcom may have taken a hint.

Or it may just be the usual wishful thinking. :|
