So I was thinking how awesome it would be play the NES version of Mega Man 1 with the Powered Up's music. Same thing with MMX, but with Maverick Hunter X's music. I mean, there's gotta be a way to do that. Of course then, it may exceed the regular sizes of those game's roms.
Depends on how can you tinker with Rockman 1 Complete Works, or the one in Anniversary Collection. With X1, how you can tinker with the one in X Collection. And perhaps that PS bootleg that had X1~X3 in the same CD (I never got a hold of that).

The Complete Works series stores their BGM in XA music packages, and it means they are in WAVE form (not MIDI).

Only one song is in MIDI and that's the Database Mode for all 6 games.
It's MM3 Password for CW1-4, and MM6 Password for CW5-6.

I've played Mega Man ZX higway stage using Maverick Hunter X's intro highway theme. Although it was fixed for the video, where MM-ZX had no music playing, and I just added the MHX theme into the video. ;)

UPDATE: Here's a screen shot of the miniboss, finally. :)

And the bridge does collapse if you manage to defeat it with mega buster only. Using all other weapons lets you advance to the other side of the door. :)

Would you be able to Mega Buster it and then haul ass to the door to survive, or is it just a way to get players to use the special weapons?

wait.. wouldnt it be the other way around? as in, you HAVE to kill it with only the buster, and make it insanely hard?

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

The bottom right pic is actually a friendly Metroid that heals you. Unlike that first smaller metroid that sucks your life. XD

I see a Mario bros reference there, big fish eating Mario, big mecha fish eating Mega Man.  8D

So many references.

The debug keys (changing weapons, refill weapon/health with keyboard button) are only temporary for beta testing purposes until I can finally code a menu thingy. I'll most likely get rid of the weapon/health instant refill keys after I code the items correctly.

A lot of these are temporary, not really intended for a real game..... At least not story wise anyway. They may have very minor cameos later. But right now, everything is still up in the air. I just needed things to work with to make an enemy code for them. ;)

Except for the fish. I may leave the fish & mettaur boss in.

New Rockman hacks in work with great potential!

Megaman Forever - Made by Matrixz aka Panophobia
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=zblr9vHk0x4

Megaman Ultra 2 - Made by Thisiswhyyoufailed aka Infidelity
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NpWF6VexeO0

Both hacks can be downloaded here. However, they aren´t finished yet.

Megaman Ultra 2 contains a surprise for the people who watched my thread with all of my works. To play both games you need Megaman 4 (U).

All the NES megaman hacks (esp. the japanese hacks) make my engine look like crap. :(

Although the MM Ultra 2 hack, Chill Penguin can't be defeatable. I blasted him a couple of times but I did not notice any difference in his health bar.

In the Beta-Version 1.0 was Chill Pinguin much harder, because he had his BIT(Boss Invincible Time). I have informed him of the things which needs to be improved. Just wait dear N-Mario, he will fix that problems and than download again.
By the way did you get that surprise, which I have created for that hack?

Are those projetcs close to being finished?
