Rockman Series / Re: Underrated BGMs and Songs
« on: March 09, 2010, 11:35:11 AM »
Ring Man, my favorite number 1 MM4 music.

And Dr.Weil's theme from MMZ3 is perfect, so sad it was absent in MMZ4.

Magnet Man from MMBN2.

Opening Stage X from MMX4.

Gravity Man from Mega Man Network Transmission.

And my favorite Wily stage music still remain MM3's first and second songs, but it seems some have acknowledged the second song also.

Rockman Series / Re: What was the first Megaman game you played?
« on: March 09, 2010, 03:44:15 AM »
Quoted from an earlier similar thread:

"Suprisingly my first Mega Man game was just Mega Man for the NES. That was in 1991(I was born in 1988) and I watched my older brother trying to beat Ice Man and Guts Man's stage. Eventually he got to Dr.Wily's first stage but then our parents called to drive home again, since we played Mega Man 1 on a party."

On a side note, Mega Man was the second game I ever played, after Bubble & Bobble and before Super Mario Bros. 3. After that I lost the count.

Original / Re: MM10's Arsenal?
« on: March 09, 2010, 03:32:49 AM »
I dunno, Mega Man 9's weapons still amaze me (God Black Hole Bomb rules so much), but Mega Man 10's weapons got it's ups and downs.

Thunder Wool is the most situational and requires a lot of energy plus positioning and more time than other weapons.

Commando Bomb is my current favorite weapon, granting you remote control of it and it's splash effect is great.

I didn't know that you could wall climb with Wheel Cutter so I will have to test that out first before I can fully judge it. It is a good spammable weapon though, especially from below.

Triple Blade is sexy and easy to use.

Water Shield however is even sexier and makes awesome 8-bit sound while it can combo enemies out and instant destroy them. I'd figure that Water Shield would require the amount of Thunder Wool instead, seems to be more reasonable. 2nd favorite weapon, and a lifesaver.

Solar Blaze is a bland fire weapon though, but good for clearing out enemies from both sides. Next to Thunder Wool a lesser weapon.

I honestly need more time with Rebound Striker before I can comment on it.

At first, I found Chill Spike to be pretty lame. What a fool I was. It's the game's perfect initiating attack towards enemies and it's the most spammable one. 3rd favorite.

Back at RPM again, because I was avoiding MM10 Spoilers(Including the Robot Masters).

Forte, man oh man, looks like you will rush throughout each stage with ease. But wait! We must not forget Forte's weakness from Rock Man & Forte; weak versus Robot Masters. Then again, Mega Man lacks his charge buster, because Proto Man stole it, and now I am confused. In any case, I will so DL him.

Original / Re: Wich one was harder for you? MM9 or MM And Bass?
« on: August 03, 2009, 01:50:18 AM »
MM&B, King Stages, the bosses but especially the flying tank, God I died so much to it.

MM9 was hard, but more entertainingly hard. I would say that MM9 is the better pick up and play of the two.

X / Re: How would you describe Sigma?
« on: August 03, 2009, 01:40:52 AM »
Sigma the sailorman has travelled through the 7 oceans, searching for the biggest treasure in the world(Zero), but X won't give him.

I used to agree with people saying that he is completely sane, but now I cannot remember why would only he be sane and no other villains such as Doppler, looking at the Maverick Virus.

Well, that's fine by me CyberXIII. They are from an Official Complete Works book, yet not many Mega Man fans have read it yet.

I was very surprised to have seen this book on a web store in my country.

They happen to be upside-down though.  :o

I can't believe at the age of 21 that I am still experiencing freaky nightmares at the very present, I mean each time I have one the fear theme is so different. I forgot about the recent ones already, but I've definitely been on a nightmare roll again.

Still, it makes living them out more interesting.

Looks like this will be the bridge to both Mega Man series.

Despite mediocre titles(Except for a few good ones) I've been a fan of BN since I got my hands on the first part. The gameplay is very nice to mess around with the cards and exploring the net or waves, but the rest has always been average.

Oh well, I will buy Star Force 3 in any case first.

Rockman Series / Re: The way you play Mega Man games
« on: June 20, 2009, 01:38:29 PM »
I priorize the bosses on the select screen, I seek my target and unleash my balls of steel.

Generally speaking, I prefer using only the Mega Buster, unless someone like High Max is in my way.

I walk in Classic Mega Man and dash in Mega Man games beyond. I press R everywhere in Battle Network and StarForce in order for me to jack in or go on air.

So, like, they really eat them? Or do you think that they open up their built in refrigerator and store the energy crystals inside? Maybe the crystal on so many Reploids's foreheads could tell us more about this whole case hmm? The shinier it brights the more power the Reploid receives, just guessing?

I don't think that Reploids eat or do poo poo, they just melt the crystals in my opinion.

Tech Kraken has my favorite quotes because he was my favorite Neo Arcadian in the first place. It seems that not every translation is correct, which could be too bad, I don't know. What with Weil for example saying "Silence... my slave!", but you know, he did want to control every Neo Arcadian in the end and destroy the Mavericks outside. But it could also mean that he considers Zero himself as his slave. Someone will have to point the differences from both languages then.

I will show you Z1 and Z2's quotes soon.

ZX / Re: Hate to ask, but.....
« on: June 17, 2009, 04:12:34 PM »
So I am not the only one currently stuck at hard mode Chronoforce... Original ZX hard mode was pretty difficult as well, but I keep dying at this stage of Advent. Maybe some other time I will decide to see the secret ending on my DS screen.

Zero / Re: Repliforce.
« on: June 17, 2009, 04:03:08 PM »
There's a part about Repliforce in MMZOCW, telling us that marines used the research facility near that logo in Zero 1 in the past to investigate oceanic geological features.

But in reality it's just a small cameo, like Agile in Zero 2 for example.

Well, since we are talking about an official complete works here, I suppose that the quotes are exact translations:

Couldn't find another place than to post one of my Mega Man redrawings in here. It was made a few years ago, but now that I have got a scanner I could finally upload it. I am pretty content with it, but the nose and the mouth could be better.

This might be the start of my own Mega Man fanart!

Mega Man ZX3 is the latest cliffhanger game. Whatever happens with that title, I would think that between ZX and Legends, more series could be made, not just one, should Capcom continue creating new series.

Mega Man Legends 3 is something the Mega Man fans have been waiting for in years.

Mega Man X9 would also be nice to see.

Mega Man Powered Up 2 and Mega Man Maverick Hunter X2. I would especially be interested in the remixed music, but also any extra additions they might plan for them. I also wanna know what X2 would say about Dr.Cain's faith in particular.

But personally, I am hoping for a Mega Man X Command Mission 2. I highly enjoyed playing the original one, as I was intrigued by the force metal plot, the immersion, the new villains and new supportive characters. Also, the gameplay was good, and it had some awesome music.

Oh, and Mega Man 10 can wait for now. But it would be magnificent to see that as well, considering Mega Man 9's success.

Awww, no subtitles or translation.

It's funny how they were pronouncing Sigma when the art was done.

Still, 3 hours is a long time, good to see them all having fun.

47
I am excited. It's easy to think for us Mega Man fans that it could either be Legends 3 or X9, but what else could it be?

Strider is a choice, as well as Viewtiful Joe 3(With a cliff hanger like that in part 2), but VJ 3 is not what every Capcom fan is waiting for I think.

What about Breath of Fire? Or Marvel VS Capcom 3? Clock Tower?

Anime & Manga / Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?
« on: May 27, 2009, 12:33:53 AM »
Cowboy Bebop for the first time, I've been on an anime roll this whole year. Also saw Infinite Ryvius, Gantz and Wolf's Rain from beginning to end.

After that, I will start on Legend of the Galactic Heroes. It seems to be one of the most epic animes out there.
