Well put castlevania somewhere cause that sig looks wierd for those who don't know it.
There's no excuse to not get that reference.

It can be no worse than Facebook or something, where like, every 100 pages of accounts contain drama?
Twitter, Facebook, Myspace.

3 things I really, REALLY dislike. They are SO damn mainstream that you are an outcast if you dont have an "OMGMYSPACE".
I cant even explain it- I just dont like it. I prefer Facebook over Myspace, but I still dont like it.

I only ever signed up to myspace to send a Private message to a friend I had not seen in almost 4 years. And after getting his Aim, I still never touched my account again. Wish I could delete it, really.
Do you guys even like girls? That's what social networking sites are for. If you doing anything other than getting pussy, well then yea, it's pretty stupid. But tell me that my facebook is stupid, & I'll laugh & laugh & laugh.

X / Re: Robot Prejudice: Has this been explored in the X series?
« on: November 06, 2009, 08:08:32 PM »
No, I know about Scaravich's dialogue with Zero. I'm just saying, he seemed scared to me about X. But I never thought of it like you put it, him wanting to just grab & run.

I think justification for destruction & methodology are very relevant to robot prejudice. The prejudice might not be perpetrated by humans, but it still stands that Reploids have to be concerned about possibly being labeled Maverick unjustly. It's a double standard.

I always liked Wily's look in that.
He reminds me a lot of Professor Gill.

I wonder what the deal with any of those 4 people are. The guy at bottom right isn't supposed to be Light, is it?

What is Triforce of the Gods again?

While I can agree that grinding can get tedious, you have to remember that just flat out using rare candies on a Pokemon is actually worse than grinding for a particular stat. Pokemon is the sort of game that you get back the effort that you put in to it. I'd rather spend that hour slaying Zubats or whatever to bring my Pokemon to the top of its game then let it suffer stat wise because it's faster.
I thought that Rare Candies worked the same as leveling in 1st gen.

Uh, I think he means the prize ribbons and not necessarily the ribbons that are worn in hair. Prize ribbons are unisex, and don't necessarily mean that they're for women.
I know. It's a gameplay aspect added for people that wanted to do something other than battle. Women.

Also, if you really wanted to know how EVs and IVs work, it's not hard to just Google it. I'm sure there's a few hundred websites that detail just how these numbers work and how you can manipulate them.
I know how they work, just not specifically.

Understanding what's going on doesn't ruin the game, it makes it better. If I wanted a game where I couldn't even tell why the winner came first I'd just play Mario Party or something.
Mario Party isn't like everybody makes it seem. You can totally manipulate the dice rolls, & a lot of planning & point of no returns come into play.

I still prefer pre-EVs. I'm playing Crystal right now. How do they work in that?

Also you can't fire until the shots are off-screen, so it has a mad slow firing rate.

The Metal glitch pretty much overrides the shop system altogether though.
That doesn't work in the PC version. I've tried it.

You keep saying blind, but, as little as Gate cared for them post-infection, he might have been rather caring prior. &, more to the point, they don't know he's infected or insane. As far as their viewpoints go, the rest of the world stabbed them in the back. Siding with Gate was very logical.

How do you guys play these? Do you sit at a computer, or do you print out your own game script?

It's cool, it only takes like an hour. It's quicker than grinding them up to a level they'll evolve at sometimes.
Only an hour? Boy, your time must be pretty easily spent to play Pokémon for an hour straight & not even be doing anything interesting. As for grinding, being quicker than it is not a good measure of quickness. Grinding sucks too. Hence my love of Rare Candies.

Bidoof's 1 HP. Geodude's 1 defence. Gastly's 1 special attack. Tentacool's 1 special defence. Starly's 1 speed. All available at very low levels, all in very great quantities. (1+4 for a power item)x2 for pokerus means 10 EVs per kill, so go in with max PPs, wait until I'm 15 PP down, and then remove the power item and hit one more guy, mission accomplished.
Attack's a little harder, but that just means I use a power bracer while training another stat. Or take advantage of doduo if it's swarming. Doesn't swarm too often though. Life's tough.

Memorising what EVs every pokemon gives would be pretty hard, but you don't really need to. Just enough of them.
You remind me of those pinoys that ruin Ragnarok by knowing everything about everything.

The move Return pretty much nullifies your argument.  I should also note that all of my pokes on my team are Ev trained and their happiness is maxed out.
Because in-game happiness is a poor indicator. It's always been a constant theme in Pokémon that too much fighting & no play makes Pokémon abhor their trainer, regardless of how you can get to happiness either way.

If it's cheating, then how do you explain the existence of the Effort Ribbon?  The Macho Brace and Power Items would also like a word with you.
Well, the ribbons are there for women in the first place, so I have no idea what any of them are.

...again, though, why do you expect sprites from a Game Card to return your affection?
We should all chip in to get Keno a copy of Love Plus so he doesn't need to seek love from pokemon.
Of course they don't love me back, but that doesn't mean I don't love my beloved Char. Not everyone that has a Tamagotchi thinks it's in love with them.

Some people do have fun doing that kind of calculation and planning. Others just enjoy ripping through the game without any other factoring.
I like calculation & planning, don't get me wrong. I just do my calculation with numbers I can see & my planning with Pokémon & move set choices.

X / Re: Maverick Hunter X6. Nightmare System

Alright, I'm just gonna cover this entire thread in blurbs, going in reverse chronological order.

I actually forgot about the 3000 Souls route & accidentally did it, but that was on Xtreme, & you get a lot of Souls in Xtreme.

I've heard that Player's jump can be made with just Ice Burst & a well-timed dash jump, regardless of parts.

[tornado fang] buying after finding. [tornado fang] buying. I hated that about X8. Mega Man has currency because the stuff isn't hidden everywhere, save for 7. X is where they hide them in the stages. I do not need to collect endless amounts of currency to have fun.

The red blocks can be destroyed with Ground Dash. I've never tried Meteor Rain on them.

The reason X6 had continuing partway through the stage was because of loading different parts of the stage. It's a style thing passed down from X4. I would assume MHX6 would be entirely different in that aspect, as I recall having to start stages over from the start in MHX.

I love the Nightmare System as it wound up. It was just like X1, except it made it harder, & you could manipulate it.

Though, X6 could really have benefited from free stage exiting. Then all the gripes would disappear.

What would you do in that situation? Go with Gate, who tried to save your life the first time & has now given you a second chance, or go "Thanks a lot Gate but I'm sure those guys won't be too mean to me this time around"?

Then you really cant make a valid argument if your disregarding part of their speech. thats like me disregarding Sigma's speech about knowing Wily, simply because Sigma's a bald evil bastard.
It's just that the "IM GONNA GET YOU MAGGERMANS" line is so often out of character & very much just an excuse to start a boss battle.

How are they not equal? Id like to see what info you can present, VALID info, not speculative, that proves it.
Have you ever seen the term Maverick applied to a human? Human lives are higher priority than reploids'.
