Pokemon Crystal - after ~50 tries (and catching shiny Noctowl & Quagsire in the meantime) I finally managed to steal a Lucky Egg from Chansey. Never again T^T

It absolutely doesn't mean that said games are hard, but that they include complex mathematical problems. Just look at the original paper, there are lots of screenshots that show how the research was made.
Finding the best possible path (even through SMB level or Zelda dungeon) is a well-known problem, and a real [sonic slicer] to solve. I think that the point of this research is that people can solve these problems on the fly, without even knowing how difficult it would be for a computer.

Bizarre... but very interesting. I guess that also means no RSE sequel for some time.

I'm afraid petitions and endless debates about features & remakes are useless. Capcom wants $$$. Think about crowd funding. Start a project on something like Kickstarter, buy preorders for not-yet-existing game. Basically, acquire lots of money and shove it down Capcom's throat. They must be 100% sure that they will earn a certain amount.

But wait! This operation must be well organized, something like this will work only once. You'll need a trusted intermediary, media attention, and clear rules of the deal. For example:
Step 1: We gather money and hand it to the middleman
Step 2a: Capcom makes AND publishes new game, they get them monies
Step 2b: Capcom refuses, we get our money back
Step 3: ?????
Step 4: PROFIT

See?
This is exactly what I was talking about.
New game from a major studio, crowd funded in EIGHT [tornado fang]ing HOURS.

Too late, according to Wiki, USA signed it 3 months ago.

Error fixed, and I actually learned something new :)

ACTA is dangerous not only because it's international. Its creation broke every rule of the so-called democracy, and it'll touch every aspect of your life, not only internets.
For example: if pharmaceutical companies will ban generic drugs, and the only option will be the expensive option, lots of poorer people will be pretty much sentenced to death. The same applies to food and everything else. Maybe it's an exaggeration, and I really hope so. Anyway, with ACTA rich companies have more power than governments. Pretty scary [parasitic bomb], if you ask me.

And so, we're [tornado fang]'d. Our government just said that ACTA is not dangerous, and will sign it in three days.

But they're saying that servers are down because of a planned maintenance, not a cyberattack 8D
Actually, I'm kind of amazed that anons are fighting so hard for Poland.
Funny.

Make room, for I am entering this contest too, I already have a sketched idea.

65
Yeah, for now that is a real mystery. But don't forget that they do have the technology to clone bodies, grow back limbs, and summon souls 8D And it's Asuka we're talking about. SPACE PIRATE NEKOMIMI ASUKA.

66
I think you should watch the series and EoE anyway. Then, when you'll see what got changed (and how), it'll make Rebuild far more enjoyable.

Time travel is so 2000, I'd love to see a Multi Mirror or something like that, allowing journeys across both Time and all Eras.

Off The Wall / Re: Looking for a new Modem, which one should I get?
« on: January 05, 2012, 04:25:51 AM »
Well, I can tell you only about how it works for me in Poland: right now I pay 30$ for 50 mbps, and they give me free new router and TV set-top box (I have a 3-in-1 service) every few years.
If you switch from DSL to cable you should get new router, your old router probably has no idea about new connections. I think you'll get it from your ISP along with new contract, but that's only my guess.
Anyway, good luck!

0.3? For 5 people? What is this i don't even
Get a Cable right now! My ping is around 10, and download up to 50 mbps, and it'll double in few months.
And they say I live in a poor country with expensive internet...

But seriously, yes, bandwidth does split. I'm not so sure that new modem will boost your speed, it's more a matter of connection. And I understand that where you live you may not have access to better connections, but still. 0.3 is really, really bad.

Maybe it's only me but I see a decline of many forums, both big and small. Old users lost interest or don't have as much time (job, family, whatever), and keep in touch with friends through other channels. New users are inactive - nobody posts because nobody posts. Besides, now that we have an era of social networks, and the only thing you have to do is create a fanpage, specific boards became... redundant.
And I'm not saying it's a good thing.

Gaia, Eva Series was in EoE, not in 2.0

It seems it's a helmet for her adventures in space. But why use a helmet? She's perfectly safe in the Plug. She doesn't even breathe air. Oh whatever, who cares for a reason for the Space Pirate Asuka's cat helmet :D
As for the source, it's straight from Studio Khara.

I have absolutely nothing against two glorious movies instead of "one". It just means more waiting, and I'm rather impatient. In fact, it's only a good thing. Maybe we'll see some characters' backstory & development *looks at Mari*
Anyway, great news!
