I needed some time to adjust when I read his X1 manga some long time ago.
I remember that when I showed this manga to a "friend" of mine, he replied something along the lines:
"THIS IS UGLY! I'M NOT GOING TO READ SOMETHING THAT UGLY!"
Yeah.
Yeah the first manga was quite a..shock. Your friend's attitude sums it up. I still read it though and I loved it. But man, it was weird haha
I dont understand...After seeing the faces of eveyone from X1 to X4 with that old style, I don't think X8 would be a good idea. Those navigators look nice though
Iwamoto always says hes terrible at drawing Women. He's too modest. Merti was pretty hot. And he's got Layer's underboob down perfectly.Really? I thought he drew women fine. Layer looks like she needs help chesting those, they look like bombs about to explode.
Also, I enjoyed his X1-4. The style was simply different from what Capcom usually does. Sigma was definitely one ugly mofo, but then again, Id expect no less from chrome dome. His style did certainly improve though. I remember X's head to eye ratios ever changing in the X1 manga. later down the road his X started lookin' real sharp. (mainly X2 onward)
I certainly loved the liberty he took with story and characters.
(and apparently
capcom did too, since they borrowed his Zero-Eagle acquaintance.)
X4 X was the manliest.
I liked how reinvented character stories, but some were really dumb. I mean, an eagle guy with a girflriend? Please. He ruined Flame Mammoth too.

I'm trying to force my friend to sing Freesia but she's hard to force since she's lazy. But she has this awesome soprano voice and the most powerful high notes.
Most of what I hate about singing cute/high songs is my lack of control on high notes and my terribad tone. Falsetto fail! \o/

Curiously, despite touching up various odds and ends, they left in the mugshot error in Z3 before going to Area X-II. You know, Zero talking to himself about where to strike to stop Neo Arcadia's advance (pretty obvious to me that was supposed to be Rouge).

As for Prairie, her dialogue mentioned that she has witnessed the fall of Ragnarok,
Prairie, supposedly Alouette states she is some 100 years old. Ciel couldn't last for all that time, and her disappearance happened a few years before ZX.
Though story-wise, these two can ONLY be Alouette and Ciel.
