Fan Creations / Re: Mega Man Data Cancelled.
« on: May 22, 2011, 12:54:34 AM »
Yeah it's a pity that this was cancelled. I can answer your question Flame, sort of. I won't spoil much out of it though. Actually, I cannot give out almost any information at all, because this story was so heavy on the surprises and twists. And would have gotten even more. I love that stuff.

After Aladraina would had imploded and thus exploded, Erstrund's group would basically continue to hunt down the the last remaining Replenloids at other locations, while other characters that were already introduced, but left the scene, such as Dr.Zejaf, would had gotten proper and better character development in new scenarios.

Eventually, the 8 Replenloids would had to be refought again(they got revived), but this time by X most of the time, keeping true to the current era of X, since Axl was missing and Zero was sealed. This would happen on a certain control station in space, but I absolutely cannot tell which other characters other than Erstrund, X and the 8 Replenloids would be present there in this so called final battle. And a huge, huge twist was waiting after those fights, but unfortunately, unless I somehow revive this, that won't be known to the public.

News and Announcements / Re: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom
« on: October 29, 2010, 06:56:48 PM »
It's a sad day. Fortunately the Mega Man franchise will most likely continue to be strong even with Keiji Inafune gone, just look at Inti Creates.

Now who will become my new favorite developer at Capcom? Honestly only Shinji Mikami and Keiji Inafune were awesome to follow and listen to for me. Does anyone know the developer names at Inti Creates?

Of course, I thank you for all the good things you have done to the Mega Man franchise, you were awesome. Looks like you aren't done designing games yet though, I look forward to your new position!

I too, am slightly concerned for Mega Man Legends 3 as well. It looked like Inafune really was fully in on that.

Original / Re: Idea for Mega Man 10 (well, 11 now).
« on: October 07, 2010, 12:23:37 AM »
What I'd like to see in Mega Man 11:

-A more of a unique wave, like Mega Man 3's Robot Masters. I'm not really complaining about the latest RM's but it would be interesting to see Capcom attempt to tone down the regular elec/ice/fire based RM's.
-I don't care much about the Mega Buster in Classic Serie but seriously get that slide back, I miss it on my first run with Mega Man lately.
-Maybe a cool easter egg here or there, like Mega Man 7.
-I've actually got a nice idea for a Classic story but unfortunately I am keeping it for when I will eventually find the time and endurance to start working on a fan game. But I suppose 2 fortresses instead of one would be a fun
return.
-Get some better mugshots unlike Mega Man 10!
-How about a delicious twist, instead of refighting the 8 Robot Masters in a fortress individually, you will have to fight 2 at the same time ala Kuwagust Anchus and Herculious Anchortus?

Great for the community to see Legends 3 finally announced, I still need to start on the damn serie. Should a PS3 suffice to play all three? Or else I might attempt to fix the sound in that particular ROM file somewhere, AGAIN.

Silent update.

Posted on: April 12, 2010, 19:57:12
Okay so I got another update, and I wanted to add another attachment, and I know that one of the mods merged my two posts into one but I cannot add anymore attachments to that post unless you make it happen or I did not see the option. Sorry then.

Here's Chapter 19 Part 5. I was quiet into updating these parts because it's been way, way too long ago the last time I announced them. In a sort of embarassing moment, I silently updated. Still I would love to hear from you guys about your current thoughts regarding my fan fiction.

Actually Part 6 will come very soon because I have made a deadline for myself.

I'm on a roll! Updated with 3 new parts today.

Let me know what you think about where the story is heading to.

EDIT: 2 new exciting chapters await!

Updated with 2 new Chapter 19 parts. The chaos has started and will continue to grow.

Posted on: June 24, 2010, 21:31:06
I am sad to announce that I have decided to stop writing Mega Man Data for a number of reasons, including lack of fanbase, criticism about my entire writing way on fanfiction.net, confusion about maintaining the plot (I had lots of plans) and keeping the plotholes at the minimum plus overall endurance towards it etc. .

Really sad to do this, but I feel relieved at the same time that I can let go of this. Not that I did not enjoy writing it and receiving comments, but it sure ain't easy for me to keep updating this big story I was planning. Atleast 2 more bigs arcs were planned after Aladraina, but now it has to end.

I have learnt from the possible mistakes as to why this has happened, and hopefully, I will do better next time.

I will keep the chapters and information files on my desktop as a good reminder of my second Mega Man fanfiction.

Until I start on a new project, happy gaming,

Flok

Just finished the movie, typed a small review of it afterwards:

"Independent fan depiction of the Blue Bomber's first conflict with the mad scientist known as Dr.Wily. I didn't expect much after watching a trailer of the well known plot, but I was surprised with the amount of work put into this for an indy film. Video games to cinema movies are difficult to create from what we have all seen so far, but Mega Man manages to atleast get consistent with the franchise and yes, it is entertaining for the fans especially. I would not recommend this if you've never played any Mega Man game before though. The best character was Dr.Wily, while Dr.Light was unfitting and the robots themselves definitely were the least interesting, showing the difficulty between merging 2 industries. The dialogue was decent but some of the acting and sentences were awkward. I shouldn't criticize about anything else considering it's an independent product meant for entertainment, so in overall it was an alright movie. Hmm...who knows....maybe one day Capcom themselves will make an own movie about fighting for everlasting peace. Or perhaps even a great director such as Christopher Nolan could make it happen, what an amazing achievement that could be. Until then, I am more than happy enough with the video games."

8
Mega Man pulling a Mario Galaxy, traveling across planets, galaxies and more?

If we're talking about a single new serie that sounds consistent, if it's a mix of all the series then that just sounds like way too much work to deal with.

It does have a not so interesting title right now.

Let's hope for a good game.

9
I remember this. I'd like to watch it if only to see the Wily performance. But something about it doesn't make it too exciting... could be dead wrong after watching it though.

I've only got 700 Wii points atm, so Ballade will have to wait.

Original / Re: Should MM11 (if it's made) be 8Bit?
« on: March 30, 2010, 11:42:18 AM »
MM9 and MM10's release dates weren't as pumping out as the Zero games, nor as the older NES games (Or God forbid even the BN games) so should there come even yet another delicious 8 bit MM11 game, then by all means go for it Capcom, because we love it. Critics will definitely go with the more of the same argument though.

Original / Re: Everyone hates Quint
« on: March 24, 2010, 02:12:03 AM »
I don't hate Quint, because I haven't been able to play the GB games yet. God Capcom should had released that GB collection years ago! I don't feel like emulating or hunting them out anytime soon unless I walk with my nose in front of them.

13
The similarities are way too out there, I'm not buying this. On the contrary, Mega Man 10's stages represent general stages from other NES games excluding Sheep Man's, but no direct nods or connections to others.

Rockman Series / Re: Out of all the villains...
« on: March 19, 2010, 03:06:08 AM »
Maybe I got confused with Kefka for a second here, but even so, Dr.Weil still [tornado fang]'d up the world by using both Omega and the Dark Elf near the end of Zero 3, controlling weak minded Reploids. And he assumed the highest authority after Copy X died.

I'd like to think that Dr.Weil remains as the core manipulator in ZX serie, but Zan should be able to tell you the truth.

Dr.Weil, no doubt from me. Not only did he start a grand war and later joined (For what I call the Neo Arcadia war)another one (Even though his influence was high already before arriving), his massive hatred for both humans and Reploids alike showed to me the franchise's most evil and twisted villain it has seen yet. He destroyed the world in Zero 3 and almost succeeded beyond destruction in Zero 4, he abuses ancient Reploids, elves and Mavericks,

he manipulates others like tools and continues to do so in the ZX serie very surprisingly. Finally, he is both calculating calm and psychotically unstable. His article on MMKB pretty sums it all up.

Original / Your Top 8 Mega Man 10 Robot Masters?
« on: March 11, 2010, 01:15:46 AM »
Shoot me down if I broke the rules and lock this thread if it already exists, but I remember making a similar thread once Mega Man 9 was released.

What is your top 8 Mega Man 10 Robot Masters?

Mine will possibly change in the future:

8: Chill Man: Yeah, his mugshot is not good, his music is definitely made by a Battle Network composer which in this case sucks. Chill Man's name is a funny joke though and his stage is fun to play through. And he's also got one of the best weapons to use in the game, a spammable stunning ice shot.

7: Strike Man: A part of his theme sounds similar to Tornado Man, but this has a faster pace. I honestly haven't played enough with his weapon yet, but it looks good enough to use. Has the most annoying mini boss in the game. Has an okay design, other than that, not much to say.

6: Nitro Man: I choose to fight this guy first because he looked the toughest on the select screen. Has a fun stage, is a difficult boss and the music is also pretty good. His weapon has it's uses here and there.

5: Commando Man: His music sounds like someone is in peril, and time is lacking. I praise Commando Man of course for the traditional RM design, and he has a solid weapon reminding me of Pirate Man's remote mine. His stage is also one of the more difficult ones because of tricky jumps and spikes are in your way while you are waiting with patience for the sand storm to go away.

4: Blade Man: Great stage, great buildup and aftermath to his song, great weapon, but dislikable design and battle.

3: Sheep Man: Nice pop culture reference, instant classic Mega Man music is also to be found here, an original stage but sadly he seems to have the worst weapon in the game.

2: Pump Man: I like the design, his music is extraordinary and sounds as if you are entering a dangerous place, and his weapon is regarding offensive capabilities, superior to Jewel Man's Jewel Satellite. But weaker at defense though. He has a simple attack pattern on Normal mode, not sure yet about Hard Mode. And he uses a friggin handpump.

1: Solar Man: Great upbeating music right here! On Hard Mode, so far he is the most difficult with the Mega Buster only, he fights like a mix of Pharaoh Man, Fire Man and Quick Man but then on steroids. Doesn't has the best weapon, but his stage and battle pretty much scream "HARD" into our minds. After the in my opinion dissapointing Magma Man, Solar Man delivers fully and makes all of the fire elemental Robot Masters proud.

Rockman Series / Re: Your easiest and hardest Megaman Game
« on: March 11, 2010, 01:07:39 AM »
Easiest: No Mega Man game is truly a breeze to play through. There are always obstacles, certain hazards in each of them. Granted, I do like my "buster only/saber only" games in the main series. I suppose one of the Battle Network games or even Star Force games are the easiest since a collection system is present, making you stronger the better cards you carry.
Hardest: Mega Man X6, so much rage yet also laughing at the level design, funny developers! Oh, and I speak of Hard Mode then. I did beat it once on that mode.

Original / Re: Megaman 9 vs Megaman 10's music
« on: March 10, 2010, 11:13:09 AM »
MM9's music is more traditional, where as I see MM10 as having more unique songs. Certainly love both, but Chill Man and Strike Man cannot compete music wise with the likes of Hornet Man and Tornado Man. Perhaps a far fetched comparison, but anyway I feel that MM9 is the best of the revival games so far.

Both games's Wily Stages are really well done and very hard to pick a favorite out of. MM9 is like "BAM WELCOME BACK MEGA MAN" but MM10 is like a serious showdown with Wily, music wise.

MM10's Stage Select is better than MM9's.

I can totally see it happen with Robot Masters, but not all of them obviously(For example Flash Man). first they would participate into those what you call them robot car tournaments where the cars are supposed to destroy each other, only this time mini Robot Masters are deployed, and a few decades later they will get implemented by the DARPA, or whatever mighty R&D company we would be dealing with then, to be unleashed on other robots.

I didn't consider time in itself, but I can definitely see someone trying to rebuild these favorite Robot Master of ours should someone still be able to remember Mega Man's franchise in a long, long future ahead(Or a short one?). Atleast ice and fire based ones. At the very least.

Oh and that video above is scary.
