Fan Creations / RPM RPG?
« on: March 28, 2012, 12:31:35 AM »
Yup, that's the latest attempt at a project that's popped into my head.

Some (or very few) of y'all remember the RPG Maker sprites that appeared in 'art' thread a while back. I had planned on making a (somewhat short) RPG featuring the residents of RPM, buuuuuut I ran into a couple snags that made me realize that I'm not really cut out for doing it solo. So, I need help on at least 2 things, maybe 3, that would make this a collaborative project. The things I can't do myself are make maps (or, at least design them) and write the story (needless to say, I'm not very good at that either).

Now, the question is, would anyone like to assist me in this, or is this a plan to just shove into the "Forget About It" folder?

Fan Creations / RPM Opening/Closing Parody
« on: October 14, 2011, 05:33:00 AM »
Okay, so, for a while, I've been sitting here, staring at my copy of Adobe Flash and not having a clue as to what to do with it. Then I thought "Hey, why not make an opening or closing parody for RPM? It might spice things up a bit!" and here I am.

What I mean by an opening or closing parody is take an opening or closing from an established anime, cartoon, or video game and replace the characters, items, and settings with characters, items, and settings of RPM.

So, who thinks this is a good idea, has a suggestion or two, and so on?

Fan Creations / RPM Chorus~
« on: September 30, 2010, 03:43:45 AM »
Okay, here's the skinny. I've been listening to a lot of nico nico chorus songs, and they've given me delusions of greatness: an RPM chorus! Of course, we don't have to sing anime songs and such. In fact, the first song on the list is Bohemian Rhapsody.

Here's how it's gonna work. I'm gonna attach a music file of a karaoke track of the song to this post. What you do is you take the attachment, make a recording of you singing, and make another post with your singing attached to it. I'm still trying to figure out if this should be auditioning or not. If it's auditioning, make it with your voice and the karaoke track. If we're just going straight for the song, then just have it with your voice only.

Before we actually get started, is this a good idea?

Off The Wall / RPM Parodies
« on: April 20, 2010, 05:35:51 AM »
Okay, so lately I've been coming up with random thoughts while listening to my music during my usual walks to and from the bus stop, specifically the ones that have music videos or are anime opening and closing themes. Essencially, I'm seeing the videos, openings, and closings, only with the people and characters replaced by various members of RPM.

Am I just an unusual person, or has anyone else had similar ideas?

Entertainment / Horrible shows...
« on: January 15, 2010, 07:19:16 AM »
Okay, to put it bluntly, this is a thread for posting shows you downright HATE and think would be better off having not been made in the first place.

This is just opinionary, so I'm not responsible if this sparks arguements. And I apologize if it is deemed by the higher ups to be my fault, and if I shouldn't have posted this.

Anyway, to start the ball rolling, shows I think shouldn't have been made include:

-Spongebob Squarepants
-Marvellous Misadventures of Flapjack (I don't give a [tornado fang] if I didn't spell that right)
-Chowder
-American Dad
-Fanboy and Chum Chum
-Suite Life on Deck

Take note that only one of those isn't animated.

X / Sigma's Scars
« on: December 31, 2009, 02:10:43 AM »
Okay, here's something I've always been curious as to the origins of: those vertical scars over Sigma's eyes. So far, I've found 3 different origins of the scars from 3 different sources:

Origin 1: Zero did it
Source: Cutscene from, I think, X4

Origin 2: X used Shining Finger on Sigma's face (editted)
Source: Day of Sigma OVA

Origin 3: Sigma did it to himself
Source: Rockman X Manga

In all honesty, I think that the most likely one would be Origin 3, since every new body he gets has 'em. Still, what does anyone else make of this? Are there even more origins to Sigma's eye scars? Or has this topic already been done?

Gaming / Experiment: What Kind of Gamer Are You?
« on: December 29, 2009, 02:42:17 AM »
Okay, here's the scoop. I am thinking of an experiment to see who are the hardcore gamers, softcore gamers, and casual gamers. Here are my requirements for each:

EXTREMIST
-Meets HARDCORE requirements
-Owns all systems
-Owns 20+ games each

HARDCORE
-Plays video games for AT LEAST 168 hours a month (one full week of time, 6+ hours a day)
-Owns at least 1/2 of all systems
-Owns at least 10 games for each owned system (unless said system doesn't even have 20 games)
-Compete in National/Internation Video Game Championships
-Meets 3 of the 4 above requirements

SOFTCORE
-Plays video games for at least 84 hours a month (3+ hours a day)
-Owns, or has played several games on, at least one of each generation's systems
-Owns 10+ games for at least one owned system (this would be overall, including crap games that got sold back)
-Meets 2 of the 3 above requirements

CASUAL
-Does not meet any requirements of HARDCORE, SOFTCORE, or EXTREMIST

So, here's the experiment. I'm curious to know who fits under which category. To do so, I would need anyone wanting to participate in the experiment to keep track of how much time they spend playing video games in a month (28 days by the calculations I used), count all of the systems they have (including the ones that were put into a box in the back room because they don't work), and count their total games per system (including games that got broken and thrown away, and crap games that got sold to stores like Gamestop). Then, post your numbers here. A bit tedius, but simple.

EDITTED:: Now with new group

Entertainment / Who is the "Deadliest Warrior"?
« on: September 02, 2009, 09:27:29 PM »
Yeah, anyone here besides me see that show? If you have, I don't need to explain what it is. If you haven't, well, here's a brief synopsis.

Deadliest Warrior is a show on Spike TV where an assortment of experts take two warriors from history and, after gathering information on thier weapons, armor, and abilities, use a simulation program to pit them against eachother and see who would win.

So, what's your opinion on the show?

13
Yo. This doesn't need much explaination, it's just art stuff I make.

Rightnow, all I've got that's appropriate for this is this sprite sheet I finished today:

Sapph.EXE Not exactly my best piece of work. It's just a sprite sheet of Sapph EXE. If it looks suspiciously like Protoman/Blues EXE, there's good reason for that, and I'm sure it doesn't need explaining.

(Edit)
Random idea:
An Animaniacs spoof featuring a small number of members. Anyone interested?
