X / Michelle Gazepis, the voice actress who played Iris in MMX4
« on: September 23, 2020, 12:48:40 PM »
There is so little information about her on the web, and I haven?t been able to find many pictures of her either. All I could find out about her is that she is from Australia, and aside from her work on X4 and MM8 (where she plays Roll) is that she had a part in the live action Andromedia, she played Jenny Burtory in Bloody Road II, and she had a small part in Shenmue II (and I have no idea who she plays in it). I could have sworn she also played Rebecca Chambers in the original Resident Evil, but I was wrong. She also had another live action role in some Ultraman spinoff which again I know nothing about. Her background and her resume are shrudded in so much mystery. There?s a profile for a Michelle Gazepis on Linkedin that says they are from Australia, and that they are a director at some place called MGH Corporation. I looked up MGH on Google, all I could find was the Massachusetts General Hospital, nothing more. Why is this woman?s work shedded in so much mystery? And you?d think there?d would be at least one way to try and reach out to her being that it is 2020 at all. From what I understand, she resides in Southeast Asia if I am not mistaken, which is also where she does much of her work. I?d really like to get in touch with her and ask her some things. Is there someplace else I should be looking?

Fan Creations / Various Falcon & Rouge communities
« on: July 26, 2013, 09:13:08 PM »
Me and a friend are really on a mission here. He's decided to start a series of communities which I am a co-administrator of one about the romantic pairing of Edward Falcon & Rouge from Power Stone. We've got some pretty strong support so far. We currently have pages on Facebook, Fanpop and DA.

Facebook
Fanpop
DeviantART

All three communities are my friend's. He just asked me to plug them wherever I could. I am co-admin of the Facebook one though.

Fan Creations / New Power Stone AMVs!
« on: April 11, 2013, 02:45:16 AM »
Obviously not MM-related, but it is Capcom-related, so it should stand for something. Anyway, I recently saw the remaining episodes of the Power Stone anime finally, and that being said, I made a few new Power Stone AMVs, two of which are ones I've been wanting to make ever since I first saw the anime back in 2002. And I'm currently thinking about what Power Stone videos to make next, which has been quite a struggle, lolz. Moving on:

"St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion)" by John Parr:

"The Heat Is On" by Glenn Frey:

"All I'm Gonna Take" by Autograph:

"I'll Be Comin' Around" by The Bottle Rockets:

^This one focuses on the love triangle between Falcon, Rouge and Ryoma.

and finally:

"All Twisted" by CIV:

^This one appears to be the most popular of these 5 from the looks of it so far.

"Twentieth Century Fox" by The Escape Club:

^This is a video about Rouge and her sexiness. One of the hottest women Capcom ever created.

"This Is My Day" by Julian Lennon:

^Simple video about Falcon.

"Warriors" by Savatage:

Anime & Manga / Casshan/Casshern AMVs
« on: June 02, 2012, 02:55:02 AM »
Casshan Robot Hunter (or Casshern as spelled alternatively) is an anime OVA based on Tatsuo Yoshida's original 1970's series directed by the late, great Carl Macek that I got into because of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Here's three great AMVs for this beautiful looking 1995 film:

I think the first and second ones were the best of these three.

I cannot wait until The Hangover Part II comes out on DVD and BluRay in December. It's the funniest movie I've seen all year, and I'm so excited! Is anyone else? I'm so pissed that Transformers:Dark Of The Moon is out on DVD and BluRay before this movie.

Entertainment / Has anyone here ever heard of the band "Kyuss"?
« on: September 09, 2011, 01:59:02 AM »
I only recently discovered them, but I hear that they were pioneers of stoner rock, so I bought their best of CD called Muchas Gracias (for 20 dollars, what the hell! Because it's an import title), and I haven't listened to all of the songs yet, but so far, it kicks major behind. Favorite Kyuss songs so far:

Shine (featuring Scott Reeder (not to be confused with the current drummer of Fu Manchu, this is a bass player) screaming the word "Shine!" constantly)
Demon Cleaner (you should see the music video for this. Freaky stuff!)
Hurricane
Flip Of The Phrase

Entertainment / Eazy mutha****in' E

The late Eric "Eazy-E" Wright, was a founding member of the controversial rap group N.W.A, and is one of the founders of gangsta rap. His 1989 debut album "Eazy-Duz-It" is one of the best rap albums I ever heard, along with Dr. Dre's The Chronic, Ice Cube's The Predator, Queen Latifah's All Hail The Queen, Public Enemy's It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back, and the Beastie Boys' Paul's Boutique to name a few. He also released a great EP called "5150 Home 4 Tha Sick" (I wonder why he didn't get sued by Van Halen for the "5150"), which was also added to the end of the 2002 remastered version of Eazy-Duz-It. A true legend of hip hop. R.I.P. Eazy. Any fans? Any experiences?

I think that En Vogue are the greatest girl group I've ever heard. Those women can sing. And all 4 of them were so damn sexy! Some of the sexiest black chicks I've ever seen I think. They've got alot of great songs that are always a blast to listen to. Any other fans of the Funky Divas here?

Entertainment / Too $hort
« on: June 15, 2011, 08:36:42 PM »
I've been in a big hip hop mood the last couple of weeks and have been buying a bunch of hip hop CD's as cheap as I can get them. Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eazy-E and stuff like that are the bomb right now (and I ain't listening to that "new" hip hop eg Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, etc.). One rapper I don't think who's songs I've heard much is Mr. Todd Shaw, better known by his stage name "Too $hort". Make sure you replace the S with a $ everytime you type his name. For whatever reason I've bought a bunch of Too $hort CDs, and while I am familiar with him, I don't recall hearing much of his work. I've recently purchased used copies of Born To Mack, Short Dog's In The House, and Can't Stay Away, and a new copy of his greatest hits CD called "Mack of the Century". If you've ever played GTA Vice City, you've probably heard his song "The Ghetto". He's also an actor having appeared in movies like Menace II Society.

Entertainment / Set It OFF
« on: May 30, 2011, 04:08:10 AM »
I've been so obsessed with this movie ever since I saw it last Sunday for some reason. It's about these four women, played by Jada Pinkett (she wasn't married to Will Smith at the time it was made), Queen Latifah, Vivica A. Fox, and Kimberly Elise, who are sick of getting "screwed over by the system" if you will, and decide to start robbing banks. I watched it with my mother the first time I saw it (which I didn't even see the whole movie that time). She thought it sucked, but I thought it was an interesting film. Although I am glad that Queen Latifah didn't go on to play more roles like she did in this film and went on to play more light-hearted roles (I don't know, maybe I'm just too used to her playing roles like that). But despite that, I actually think her character was my favorite character in the film. She also had a few funny moments, such as the scenes where she steals cars for the robberies and throws CDs and tapes out the window each time. XD It's on HBO On Demand right now until June 13th. The soundtrack was really good too.

Forum Games / Rate the song (on a scale of 1 to 5) game
« on: April 29, 2011, 10:14:39 PM »
This is how it works:A person posts a song, and the next poster rates it on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 being the worst, and 5 being the best), and then they post a song for the next poster to rate, then the next poster posts a song, yadda yadda yadda. Anyway.

Take Cover by Mr. Big is a song on the soundtrack to the MM cartoon series, and this song was played during the end credits of the episodes "Bad Day At Peril Park", and "Mega X". The official music video for the song doesn't have any footage of the cartoon intercut with it, so I decided to take the video and add footage of the cartoon to it. I wanted to get clips of both of those episodes that this song was played in this video, but in the end, I thought that the clips from Bad Day At Peril Park that I wanted to use weren't good enough. Got a couple of clips from Mega X though. And I know about the credits going too fast. It was an accident. I'll post a version with fixed credits later or another time. For now, enjoy this version:

Please tell me what you think. I wanted to make it look like it was an official alternate version of the music video for the song.

Original / Custom Capcom fighter-ish Mega Man sprites?
« on: April 07, 2011, 03:25:17 AM »
I can't find out where Auto's Rockman Robot Centre is, and I remember that site having custom fighter-style sprites of Protoman, Auto and some of the other characters, and I'm looking for sites that have other custom fighter-style sprites of MM characters. Can anyone help me out?

Gaming / KNIGHTS of the ROUND!
« on: April 06, 2011, 12:45:39 AM »
Another classic Capcom beat 'em up. This game as you may have probably guessed is based on the story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. You can play as either Lancelot (who I always play as), Arthur, or Percival, and you must overthrow the evil King Garibaldi and unite England. It also has an RPG-like level system, and your character gets a new costume every something levels you go up. The music kicks ass too. This game is available on Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2 for the PS2 and Xbox, and Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded for the PSP.

Entertainment / Independence Day
« on: April 05, 2011, 11:00:14 PM »
Oh how well I remember this film. This was the highest grossing film of 1996, and I remember how popular it was. There was a toyline, a video game, all kinds of merchandise based off of it. I was 10 when it came out, and I never got to see it when it was in theaters (which I think I regret now) and didn't see it until it came out on video. I've been watching it on HBO on demand a few times this month and have been revisiting it. I also have a special place in my heart for it, because it reminds me of a happier time. Not just for me, but for the rest of the world as well. That film score by David Arnold is so epic. Plus there's also of course Will Smith, who will always be cool in my book.

Entertainment / Mr. Big's new album:"What If..."!
« on: April 04, 2011, 10:50:40 PM »
I finally got my copy today, and I'm listening to it as we speak. It sounds good! Glad to see Paul Gilbert is back in the band! There's no way this album will be better than Hey Man, or their other albums from before 1996, but it still sounds good! I say before 1996, because I thought "Get Over It" sucked. "Actual Size" was better than "Get Over It", but that isn't saying much. Both of those albums had him replaced with Richie Kotzen. The band just wasn't the same without Paul Gilbert. I can't believe Mr. Big isn't more popular over here in their homeland. They're a great band. People dismiss them just because of their ballads, which isn't fair. Highly underrated

Original / Finally bought Mega Man 7!
« on: April 02, 2011, 05:29:29 PM »
I already have it in the MM Anniversary Collection for the GCN, but I will soon finally own the original SNES cart 14 years after I first played it when I rented it from Blockbuster Video. I just purchased a copy of it online, and it wasn't cheap ($67.88 plus shipping), but it was worth it, and it said in the description it comes with the manual too. My favorite Capcom game on the SNES! And also one of my Top 5 Mega Man games!

Entertainment / Turner & Hooch
« on: April 01, 2011, 04:36:54 AM »
I'm 24, and I still enjoy watching this film whenever I do watch it. I first saw it sometime in the 90's.

Quote from: Wikipedia
Scott Turner (Tom Hanks), an obsessively neat police investigator, acquires Hooch (Beasley the Dog), a large and slobbery Dogue de Bordeaux, after the murder of Amos Reed (John McIntire), a local junk-yard owner who was a friend. Turner is bored with little police work in the fictional town of Cypress Beach, California and is set to transfer to a better job in Sacramento while fellow investigator David Sutton (Reginald VelJohnson) is to be his replacement.
Turner pleads with police chief Howard Hyde (Craig T. Nelson) to let him take on Amos' murder case. Believing that Hooch is the only "witness" he has, Turner brings him home. The energetic dog promptly destroys Turner's house, his car, and turns his life upside-down. On a positive note, however, Hooch also instigates a romance between Turner and the new town veterinarian Emily Carson (Mare Winningham).

My favorite parts are where the dog is outside and won't stop barking when Tom Hanks is trying to sleep, and the part where the dog destroys the house while he's at the store and then he comes back and sees everything and finds him in the bedroom and he hits him with a pillow, and the dog starts pulling on the other end of the pillow and it rips, and he goes to get his gun and then you hear glass breaking, and then he walks to the door and we see that the dog jumped through it and he lifts up the blind and says "DO NOT COME BACK!". Here's the latter of the two scenes:

Original / Unreleased episode of the cartoon?
« on: March 31, 2011, 03:04:23 PM »
Back in 1997, there was this one Mega Man web site with screenshots of the cartoon, and I remember seeing two screenshots that were said to be from an unreleased episode and the link to the screenshot saying something about Protoman finally helping Mega Man fight Dr. Wily, and in the second screenshot, I know this was at least part of the title, but don't know if it was the whole title for the link to the screenshot. In the title it said "where's Protoman?" Again, I don't remember if that was the whole title, because it was so long ago (God, I miss those days). Does anyone know anything about this unreleased episode? Was Protoman supposed to have bitten the dust?
