Can't wait to hear Virt's Moon. Apparently Capcom also announced a "new mega man game is in development" but isn't far enough along to show/talk about. Dunno if true.

My childhood, now remastered, by one of my favorite developers of all time! ALL TIME! :cookie:
And yea, I DO want to hear Jake "virt" Kaufman do the music, with such backlogs as Double Dragon Neon, Shantae, Mighty series, Contra 4, Ketsuipachi, and so much more.
Really, this is one of the games that made me proud of being a gamer. And also the other Disney Capcom games like Magical Quest, Aladdin, Darkwing Duck, Chip n Dale, Tale Spin and others. <3

Since I'm not getting much of a response on Duck Tales, should I emulate the NES original to see what this game is about myself or wait for the HD remastering?
Kinda read that earlier at Siliconera, not sure if it's gonna repair the damage with killing off Legends 3 and Universe.
Nothing short of releasing Legends 3 will ever repair that damage. Capcom can however, try and soothe the fanbase over and begin to repair the relationship and trust with a good enough game, and actual direction for Mega Man to go, rather than the vault and annals of history.

Yeah, best (impossible) case scenerio, Legends 3 gets uncancelled. Best, actually somewhat less impossible scenario, we get a new legitly good MM game that doesn't rely on nostalgia. Alright case scenario, new retro MM game. Worst case scenario, X-Over 2/more iOS.

I liked the Ducktales cartoon. Never got into any of the relevant games though. I'm ok with the game getting an HD remake, maybe I'll try it out. Its just that the false hope in a Capcom guy's misconstrued words about "also a new Mega Man game" which turned out to be "We are still just talking about it, but here, have some more merchandise" was disappointing. Bit of a let down which sort of killed any buzz i had over the game announced in the first place.

True, though I was kinda joking on my end (hence the 8D earlier). It's just that I hate feeling left in all this excitement for never getting a chance to play the NES game or any Disney-Capcom game growing up, know you?

The best news out of all of this is what could happen if DuckTales Remastered is a success. Producer Rey Jimenez has said that this game's success could pave the way for more 'Remastered' classics from Disney/Capcom. Which game could be next to get that treatment?

Personally I'd rather they just devoted the energy to making new games. The classics are already readily available in numerous ways.
I see to be the only one that holds that mindset these days... everyone wants a billion ports of every game ever on every console they own.

About time someone said it. Games like BloodRayne: Betrayal and Crescent Pale Mist gets crap for Nintendo Hard yet they can accept the modern Ninja Gaiden games like it's a walk in the park.

Well WayForward already had the Capcom connection via the original Shantae (it was published by them), but the Disney connection should prove quite beneficial.
Also I know people who have said as much. More articulate, sure, but the sentiment was the same. :/

Ah... Darkwing Duck. I loved that cartoon show, I remember watching it as a kid. Sigh... Disney isn't what they use to be these days, I hardly see any new or awesome cartoon shows on their channel and they only have those live action shows.

What they REALLY need to do is make a Co-OP Darkwing Duck/GIZMO DUUUUUCK platforming game.
Gargoyles too, that was an excellent show however the 3rd Season is non-canon to the series as the creator of Gargoyles, Greg Weisman, left Disney after the 2nd Season and started working on the comics because they wouldn't allow some of the things he wanted into the show, like Lexington is actually gay, and so they made the 3rd Season after he left and Greg Weisman even confirmed it's non-canon to his story.
You know it's like he's cursed, after two season of EXCELLENT written and mature cartoon shows that kids and adults get into it gets canceled like with The Spectacular Spider-Man (though this was more of a Copyright Issue after Disney brought Marvel and Sony own the rights to the show which lead to the weakest Spider-Man show in existence's creation, Ultimate Spider-Man (which doesn't do the original comic's source material justice)) and Young Justice which are two I can list off the top of my head.

I'm liking the remix of the Amazon stage. It is the level that I started with when I first played this one emu. The Transylvania level is confusing me though.

Xbox's Summer of Arcade would be going on in August, wouldn't it? They're probably delaying it cause it'd get swept up by the other stuff.
As for the boxed version, it's just a voucher for the PSN version and a collectable pin for $5 more. Sounds okay for those who really want it, but I already decided to get the game on Wii U cause that thing has like no game at the moment. I wonder if it'll have the achievements as well.

Oh, forgot about Summer of Arcade. Thanks for making Xbox 360 owners wait even longer, Summer of Arcade, though it's not like I'll be able to get $20 card with all this crap going on lately. So much for Day 1 purchase... :'(

I know they said August... but for some strange reason one can already purchase the game on PSN.
Whether or not you can actually PLAY it though is another matter entirely.

Has anyone else picked this up yet. I'm having a great time with it. I really like how they give you something to do in the stages. Really fleshes them out compared to the original where you just run to the boss.
Only problem I've had was a freeze while checking the leaderboards. I gotta go check Miiverse and see if anyone else had that problem.

I bought and played through DuckTales Remastered the other day and I have to admit I'm quite impressed with it overall. The two new levels are quite fun to play through and I quite enjoyed watching the cutscenes and the, well, DuckTales feel they added to the game. It really feels true to the show. That said the cutscenes themselves are also my one complaint about the game, while they're fun to watch the first time on repeat playthroughs it becomes quite irritating to have sit through them all over again. True there is a skip function but on stages like The Amazon where there's a small scene every time you get one of the coins it can quickly become quite tedious, especially for someone as impatient as me.
So while I enjoyed it and think of it as money well spent, in the future I'm probably just going to stick with the original if I ever want to play it through again.

Currently available as a digital download through Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Nintendo eShop and PC, DuckTales: Remastered will offer an all-new $19.99 disc-based alternative to players on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U.
Originally released in 1989 on the Nintendo Entertainment System , DuckTales was widely acknowledged as one of the generation's seminal platform titles. DuckTales: Remastered once again follows the adventures of Scrooge McDuck and his nephews - Huey, Dewey and Louie, as they explore different themed worlds on their search for five legendary treasures.

A new patch (http://www.capcom-unity.com/xantista/blog/2013/11/08/ducktales-remastered-patch-updates) has been released recently.
-Pogo fix- Some users reported that the pogo was unreliable. Tweaking the window at which the game looks for the pogo input seems to have fixed the issue. It seems that it was too short and that some users set ups were dropping input frames
-Flashing characters- Got rid of the flashing characters.
-Wii U crashing on the leaderboards
-Duckworth sometimes fails to lower down the safe.
-The title crashes to a black screen when skipping the pre-race cinematic of Magica and Glomgold.
-In certain conditions the title would fail to respawn correctly after a failed attempt for the race to the dime.
We've also addressed several stability and crash issues, but the above were the most reported. If you have an issue you don't see, please check the patch if it's still there when the patch comes out.
We also added the below item due to a large request:
Quick Cinema mode- This mode will skip most of the cutscenes when activated. The option will show up if you have at least one playthrough completed, even it if was pre-patch. It's not a true speedrun option like we wanted to, but some areas, like removing the random number events proved to be risky.
The patch can be applied to both digital and the upcoming retail versions of the game.
