Which ending? Theres currently Two, unless you mean both. The anime series.
This hasn't had its own thread?
Whatever the case, I love this scene (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_1XZ2K2fEE)Well, the basic counter-plan is the same, but appearance is totally remixed, plus new attacks and forms.

After watching Eva 2.0 (In really shitty quality, looks like somebody recorded it out of a theater or something.) The battle is mostly the same. The Appearance of the angel is kinda wierd at first (Like some sort of prismatic sphere that turns into its normal form, except still prismatic.) And of course its mostly CGI and looks kinda strange.Well, at least the cam version has the preview and extended ending after the credits.
It's Zeruel.
And true, though that battle is completely different, but awesome nonetheless.
[spoiler]Plus after eating Rei... Oh boy Reiruel.[/spoiler]

The one I saw at the cinema cut those out. >_>
[spoiler]Despite the state of EVA02... I seriously doubt it's done for. It'll be miraclously fixed up at the start of Quickening, mid-moive latest. >.>;[/spoiler]
I like trhis show especially with all the o-O o-O o-O that goes on in the series. I wish I could see Mari in action to see what all the fuss is all about, can anyone post that video? You can find a cam-recorded version.
Hi! Can I ask something? I never watched this series, but heard that a lot of people watched it. Is it worth it? I know I could read some description on the net but I'm more for personal comments. Is it interesting?
extra scenes, sir.
Extra scenes.
Apparently Eva 2.22 is going to cost a fuckload to license. And Funi hasn't even been offered it yet. :(
And of course nobody seems to give a flying [tornado fang] about Death&Rebirth/End of Evangelion. Those are still in limbo.
Just thought I'd update this.

Real damn shame, seeing as it won't be out this year at all probably. And of course nobody seems to give a flying [tornado fang] about Death&Rebirth/End of Evangelion. Those are still in limbo.
Well, you could get the UK version from Manga Entertainment. Has an interesting audio commentary on it.
Any news on 3.0 at the least?
Come back 2012 or something.
That was the rumor...
Also, Apparently Gainax and Studio Khara are having some sort of issue, since Anno is pissed at Gainax for doing something they shouldn't have. and is trying to split them up.
Heres the News article for this rumor:

Anybody here also registered at the Funimation Forums?
If so, can you please tell the morons in the Evangelion 2.22 Topic that Mari is NOT a gag character/Mary Sue? (Durr, they think her name is Mary. )
Actually, the video has a translation that hints at some big plot twist.
to quote: "Shinji Ikari awakens; beside stands a mysterious boy; then, a new world awaits him."
while in F**KING SPACE!!!!
Just to clarify:
You Can (Not) Redo - fall 2012
? - 2013
For the whole time, I was thinking that Q and ? will be released together. Oh, whatever. We have release dates, a title, and a confirmation of 2 separate movies instead of 1 longer final. That's all I need.
I have absolutely nothing against two glorious movies instead of "one". It just means more waiting, and I'm rather impatient. In fact, it's only a good thing. Maybe we'll see some characters' backstory & development *looks at Mari*
Anyway, great news!

Gaia, Eva Series was in EoE, not in 2.0
Since I didn't finish the original series (I gave up a bit more than half-way), and I can't even remember what the [tornado fang] happened exactly in those episodes, should I actually bother with these new movies?
I'm willing to pick those movies up, also because I want to see if I can actually enjoy Evangelion or not. Because honestly after those few years, my hate for it has died down.
So...
Considering I didn't enjoy original Evangelion, and did not even bother with its original movie...
Do any of you guys think I should start watching these new movies? I [tornado fang]ing love the soundtracks from them, so I'm a bit interesed in picking them up but:

The official Evangelion website announced on Friday that an 18.5-meter (60-foot) long figure of the Neon Genesis Evangelion character Rei Ayanami will be built outside of the NTV Tower in the Shiodome area of Tokyo as part of the "Shiohaku Expo 2012" summer amusement event. The figure will feature a slide that attendees can slide down during the event.
By comparison, the life-size Gundam currently standing in front of the Gundam Front Tokyo at Diver City Tokyo stands at 18 meters (59 feet) tall.
That music sounds like WarCraft 2No, it just sounds like Shiro Sagisu.
No, it just sounds like Shiro Sagisu. No seriously
What's with the space vagina at :48?
This guy.
He doesn't understand Evangelion, it seems.
Yea I watched 25 minutes and it was awful. At other times I've seen more, and the mech designs are terrible.
Is that the main one with the slender purple body and dumb bony fingers or whatever?
Also I don't give a [parasitic bomb] about the Angels. People ride inside them. They're mechs
I've seen plenty with my faggy friends OK don't lecture me. I remember when the jigger rips the organs out of the other jigger.
Wow, Waifu Widower, why are you even falling for his crap?
Tsk, tsk.
[spoiler]Evangelion IS [parasitic bomb] though[/spoiler]
Why do you keep calling me that.Keep? I believe this is the first time I called you that.
TTGL isn't [parasitic bomb] though, just the retarded fanbase.Agreed..
It's not the greatest anime ever but it's okay.
And now I've reminded myself of that guy who referenced TTGL every damn post.
Wonderful.
Wait, we had someone like that? I think I wasn't around, or I might have been banned while that person was here.
Keep? I believe this is the first time I called you that.
And certainly not the last.
Well, it's good to be liking crap shows if you know they're crap.
If you thought they are good, it would pose a problem.
In any case, there's not point in explaining anything to Ladd
thanatos-zero, iirc
Well I might as well just get my name changed to that then. :|

Dude, the last post was almost a YEAR ago.
And going by the last few releases we'll be getting a US release of 3.33 sometime in 2014.
It's going to be shown at the NYCC on Friday.
Should I watch this series? D<

I would like to see that, but the Tales series panel runs the same time and my friends are hardcore fans of that. And there'll always be the DVD.

We are working directly with the Japanese studio and the original creator on the upcoming Evangelion 3.33 home video release. This is a unique opportunity that presented itself to us, and since the plot for Evangelion 3.33 is so different from previous story lines, we are thrilled that the creator has asked to be so heavily involved in this project. Studio Khara has even decided that they would like to create their own special subtitle tracks for the release! We thank you for your continued patience as we work to confirm a release date. Please keep an eye on our social channels and our website for more updates!
