As much as I want to hope that Capcom will break the "The villain is always Wily" trend, something about that part of the intro makes me doubt it.

'They are holding a contest on who can guess his name at Capcom Unity. I go for Futbol Man.

Grid/SportsMan's stage seems easy. I already figured everything out on the first run; same goes for SheepMan's stage.
Actually, I wouldn't mind it being a little easier, since that'll be fun for speedruns, but it's hard to see people having difficulty with this since MM1-3 threw either comparable or greater challenges at us already.
Oh yeah, and what's this goalie midboss' weakness, anyway? Thunder Wool will go in the air, right? Maybe that.
EDIT: Whoop, I nearly forgot, I LOVE how the Football actually has a different bounce pattern than the baseball. LOVE IT.
And it looks like ProtoMan's going to play a huge role, on the title screen and everything!

I LOVE how they did Dr. Lights house/lab to fit in sprite style. I wonder if that side of Lights Lab will complete the missing segment from MM5's intro. :)

Blade man is too obvious. Pump man is easily guessed thanks to Dexter2. I'd never guessed Solar man for fire theme RM.
and Strike man looks like that machine for shooting tennis balls somewhat.

At any rate, I found the perfect substitute name for MPX's Nitro Man...Trinitro Man! It doesn't exceed the 8-letter limit AND still retains the meaning of nitroglycerine. [eyebrow]

At any rate, mine haven't been used yet (except for Chef Man, but that's only in fan circles, so it doesn't really count [eyebrow]).

I can't really speak for Phil, but I have a feeling that, in this case, he'll still be keeping the name Nitro Man. The title of our game was one thing, it NEEDED to be changed, but as for the name of his robot master... I know that Phil designed Nitro Man when he was just a kid and that the robot master is dear to his heart. I don't think this is going to make him change it just because an official game has the same name.
I'm curious to see how different the two Nitro Men will look; considering one Nitro Man is nitro fuel vehicle-based, and the other is nitroglycerin explosive-based.

Therein lies the inherent problem: People will get confused.
Fan #1: Hey, have you seen Nitro Man? He's so cool!
Fan #2: Yeah, he blows up stuff and ain't afraid of anything.
Fan #1: Not that Nitro Man, the other one!
Also, consider the recent "MM10" assets debacle...If Capcom learns that his RM has the same name as theirs, he might get sued (although, how likely this is, I have no clue). Getting his game confused with theirs is bad enough...

Phil should probably draw a picture of both, and post it on RPM, DeviantArt and Youtube, so that no one has any chance of confusing them. ;)

Sorta. That's the second time now Capcom copied our name. But they got lucky this time, as I don't remember what weapon we gave Solar Man. We're not going to have a Tornado Man repeat this time.

Nitro Man "Trinitro Man"
Nitroglycerin and Trinitrotoluene (TNT) are completely different compounds. Nitroglycerine is an unstable liquid, trinitrotoluene is a solid and a secondary explosive. People are also often under the mistaken impression that Dynamite is TNT, whereas it's in fact Nitroglycerin.

I was actually using a shortened form of "Trinitroglycerine", one of the alternate names for nitroglycerin.

Well according to the MMXOCW, Tidal Whale is his translated US Name, but they still mention the Duff McWhalen name as well! XD
