But boy was 7 a spectacular borefest. Christ, stop being so god damn formulaic. Some of the formula worked well ("The World is filled with Cries of Death" and "Angel of Ruin") but this one was downright trite and stupid. Next episode isn't looking so bright either. Meanwhile Braiking is yet to make an appearance ever since episode two.

Finally watched Kara no Kyoukai 4: Garan no Dou. I jizzed in my pants (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pXfHLUlZf4) during some parts of the movie, especially when Shiki first got to use her new Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, and when Tohko threw her the knife near the end of the movie. The scene with Shiki slashing her hair off was nothing short of legendary. "ジャマだ" indeed. :Ohmm, for some reason, I thought you watched it before. :P
Full 10/10 marks from me, and waiting for the next. Fukken Nakata Jouji will probably make me [parasitic bomb] my pants in fear when he comes up next. :P

Just watched Resident Evil Degeneration. Badass Leon is badass, and Claire makes an awesome return to badassery. Plus seeing the flashbacks to RE2 made me scream in joy. The ONLY complaint I have is that Capcom can do better at animating faces; most of the faces were almost designed to show a single expression and the mouths moved as if they almost were NOT moving, which turned down the quality a notch. Still, an incredibly enjoyable movie, and the new G that showed up was pretty [tornado fang]ing scary. Overall, 9/10.THAT

[tornado fang] Yeah. I already wanted to when I played God Gundam for the first time in Gundam Musou, but now, I want it even more.
You think he's broken in Gundam VS Gundam? So far, I can't really tell. Maybe I'm not used to that MS in the game yet. To me, there's only three units in that game I'd call broken: Freedom, Strike and Destiny.
As for the version, definately the regular, mainly because it's easier to get.
Also, the Wing Zero is right up there as well.
Wing Zero's problem in GvG is his utter lack of accuracy. Sure, his Buster Rifles (single and combined) are powerful as usual, but what good is power for if you can't hit [parasitic bomb]? It's a good suit in the game, but definately not broken.

i've started checking out Mahoromatic. laugh out loud funny so far, but i expect a more serious turn later on.You won't be disappointed. By the end of the series (and I'm talking the REAL end, read: end of season 2), the anime gets a very serious, yet very emotional and heartfelt tone. It'll make you warm inside while making you remember all the fun you had watching it. :)
finally, i saw a bit of "the anime called Tsukihime." having not seen the real Tsukihime, i can't complain so far. i understand it angers fans of the original, but how would it be for a casual like me?Horrible. It mangles MOST of the most important points of the story, and uses a half-assed mix of both of Arcueid's endings. You watch that piece of [parasitic bomb], you're missing on nearly 95% of what Tsuki has to offer.
Not only am I typing this with tears in my eyes, I have found the ONLY other 10/10-5/5 (Very High Rewatch Value) entry in my considerable list of anime, this miracle being Mai-Otome S.ifr. I just finished the series, and it was nothing short of absolutely fantastic, the stuff legends are made of. Thus far, this makes it only two entries in my entire list to have a perfect 10/10-5/5 score, the other one being Onegai Teacher.Hmm, I should get to watching that soon. XD

Begun watching Turn A Gundam.behold the greatest thing Happy Tomino has made.
I just watched The Cat Returns. Id been meaning to watch it for a VERY long time now. and when I say long, I mean a few years.
And Im glad I did. It was very good. the animation was really smooth and fluent and the art was simple yet really cute- and the story was sweet and really well written.

You might want to consider reading the visual novel instead. Nah, the Shiro / Aina thing wasn't really that developed. The whole infatuation was far too quick and shallow. They met like twice and spent a few hours together and then they're suddenly in love and all.

To me, the story of Shiro and Aina is the truest telling of a romance story, that being one of chance. That's what love & finding the right person really is all about. It's about chance encounters. I honestly thought Domon & Rain would wind up together from the very beginning of G Gundam. But with Shiro & Aina, going into the series blind, I didn't know. One could've wound up killing the other, or one could've died saving the other, or they both could've been killed.
Yeah, 08th MS Team ended up being one of my fave Gundam series, because I thought this romance was told quite well, along with a number of other things I thought were done well.
Hopefully, one day, I'll once again see another Gundam series that does for me like 08th did. For right now though, the Gundam fan in me has been largely asleep since mid-way through SEED, and beyond Gundam vs. Gundam and various SRW appearances, has little reason to wake up. 8D

best way i can describe what it seems like to me, is an odd mix between the 90's-ness of Nightwalker, (along with the monster of the day formula and the side bit about the girl with parents killed by monsters) Betterman, with its shpiel of a higher evolution of beings, and Claymore, what with its thing of claymores "awakening" if they go over their limits, becoming flesh eating monsters. Yeah- that would be the best way to describe it.
EDIT: Well, I finished it. and while the whole series is seriously depressing, at least the end is somewhat nice.
T'was good, all in all. I seriously lol'd at Akira Fudo's cameo appearance though.

Well I did start watching Kämpfer, and I finally got around to finishing Claymore.The Clymore manga? You should. While the Anime stuck to the storyline untill the end of the series where it deviated to make its own ending, The manga is still ongoing.(and might be reaching its climax)

So Kampfer is only 12 episodes long, huh? That's a bit of a letdown. The show just ends with a lot of unfinished business. Well, that and a gag episode 12 which while funny, doesn't fill the void.I agree with you on He is my master, though it could have gone on longer if it kinda ditched the whole "contest" thing, which got stale in the final episode. I also say that the biggest question I have after finishing this is how the hell can Sakura control minds, summon both a gun and sword, and give out Kampfer bracelets, and make animals talk too. Oh and the resolution to the whole moderator thing? No one wins since the battle really does not have a victor?
I've also finished watching He is my Master, which is also only 12 episodes long and also leaves me wanting more. But at least everything's kinda resolved at the end of this.

I personally prefer STAND ALONE COMPLEX. I've seen the Ghost in the Shell movie like 3 times, but it's still confusing me on some parts. And I haven't even seen Innocence, which supposedly is even more filled with "Oshii-ness". First movie is still an accomplishment in terms of animation and portraiting mature themes in anime though.thats pretty much why its so great. As far as Motoko Goes, it strays REEEEALLY far from her original portrayal, But its still an interesting thing. Zeta Gundam is now my anime priority.
..Why is it so amazing? At first, I knew I'd get into it eventually but was all like 'c'mon, you can't just throw a new cast of characters at me and expect me to care about them so early on', but around about episode 10 I've become really engaged in the whole thing.
I just like it how it's essentially a sequel to the original series but still gives enough space for it to act on a stand-alone basis. In fact, it's actually better than the original series. It's as if the upper production team, or whatever relevant circumstances, actually decided to listen to Tomino and not force in as many super-robot-genre elements as possible.
And the animation quality is amazing, especially for the early eighties. Can comeone please tell me why in roughly ten years time as with Gundam Wing, the animation quality got significantly worse? I mean, the battles and cinematography in Zeta just astound me. Wing, and even later ones like Turn A and maybe even Seed look sorta' bad by comparison.
Wing's animation I can deal with. Seed however, just took a turn and it probably was the same animation team who animated Code Geass.

You know, this kind of thing like in the Batman example you posted, is often seen in the Megaman NT Warrior/Rockman EXE manga.

In real life you don't watch things like a fly on a wall, right? The eye travels, and manga capitalises on this to shift the audience's focus in order to imply some things rather than show it. There are moments that are crystal clear, still.

'This kind of choreography' = Action-to-action.It's always action-to-action, every comic and manga is. The difference is making it clear how many of the actions are actually put in there.
Also, I'm not too sure about you, perhaps it's a personal thing, perhaps it's a cultural thing, or maybe it's just the difference between how people go about with life, but I never have to pause or think whilst reading either comics or manga.It's more likely a personal thing, but actually, thinking is a way of understanding. You cannot possibly fully understand Watchmen without stopping to think at certain points, and exploring other words and panels. Decoding certain things is also a way to figure out what's going on. But action should never be stopped. And I think that manga like Trigun and Hellsing has some problems when it comes to transition-to-transition. It's probably my own problem with the really rushed art, but some stuff doesn't really seem to connect fully into the rest at the proper speed. How some characters got from one position to another don't really make full sense.
And that is me.
But I prefer it when things work out more like the way it does for me irl. You know, immersion and all that?

If you leave out an important detail though, then yeah maybe one could get confused, like "where in the world did he get that BFG?" (Unless it's hammerspace played for laughs)

Just Started Zeta Gundam, Apparently from what I've been hearing Episode 11 is blocked off by AnimeChannel on Youtube in the US (Despite the fact that they're using the English Dub.) And apparently Wing was available till they decided to make it private, Gundam 00 is the only other Gundam series available on Youtube at the moment. So Wing, G Gundam, SEED/Destiny, and the OVA's will have to wait until I can locate the Dubbed versions (I've started with dub so I'm not going to switch to Subs for no reason in the middle.)I take it your GOOGLE-FU is weak, since you have to resort to dem youtewbz.

Yeah, Second Raid pretty much eliminates that and goes more for the serious military aspect. Which in my opinion wasn't a great move (I actually liked the High-School Comedy parts.)
(And Kaname would've had an actual purpose outside of "Tacked on Love Interest who is not very loveable"), but it seems that they completely dropped it with few mentions of it later on (Second Raid... IIRC they only mention it once.)
The complete opposite for me. I finished up The Second Raid, and I loved how much more mature and rooted it was from its predecessor. Kaname disappeared for half the series, which was a huge plus, although she was somehow made more tolerable than before. The action was fantastic, the darker atmosphere was appreciated and the music was solid. I especially liked the contradictory orders given to confuse that traitor.

To be fair MM wasn't as bad as I thought it was, but it is still not great.

Couldn't blame you for not liking Oreimo, slice-of-life really isn't everyone's cup of tee. Though I am curious on why you find GW more enjoyable now rather than during your childhood. I'd argue that the animation didn't really age very well and is kinda unpleasing to look at. Nostalgia I guess? Just curious, please don't hurt me.

I actually watched that for the first time last month, believe it or not. I really enjoyed it, despite its age and the cheesiness. I tried watching Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam afterwards, but I just couldn't get into it. I [tornado fang]ing hated Kamille. So I stopped and decided to watch MSG: The 08th MS Team. Well you have to keep in mind that FMA had two series. The first one sort of followed the Manga but they caught up too fast and that's why that one went to an original story and ending, because at least that was better than slowing the story down and either ending abruptly or just sort of stopping.
Who knows, maybe in a few years when Soul Eater gets closer to finishing or finishes we'll see another Anime for that.

Naota is a brat, Haruko is a selfish megalomatic [sonic slicer], Mamimi is definitely insane, and most of the side characters are annoying except for the mayor's daughter and Naota's dad since he shows how Haruko will do anything to get what she wants, and poor eyebrows is the most desperate man ever.
I have to put Anime on hold for a bit, as I need to binge watch Arrow in time for the new Flash show that comes out soon. I have to decide what to watch when I'm done binge watching that.

Watching classic flavor Dragonball. I'm about 35 episodes in so far. Though, having only Goku be present for the most part of the Red Ribbon Saga is sort of a downer after the first 13 episodes had a good dynamic with Bulma, Yamcha and Oolong.

I finished OPM last night. I was... Honestly a little disappointed by the ending. It felt anticlimactic? And I don't mean the fight, because that's intended. I feel like the narrative ended a bit too abruptly.This. It felt like there should have been at least another episode or two. I understand that they ran out of material, but couldn't the writers have just made something up to give the series closure? I mean while I don't think Chi Chi is the reason why Gohan isn't as powerful as he should be I really don't like her either, she's way too extreme and I worry for her blood pressure.
