Topic: Trying to come up with a Rosenkreuzstilette script (Need ideas)

No luck so far. I don't have any ideas at all on what to put for a Rosenkreuzstilette themed script.

The kind of script I'm trying to make for is one for a sprite based fan parody/tribute thing. Look at my sig, there should be something called "Swords of Sorrow Movie" and Swords of Sorrow Movie 2". That's the sort of thing I'm trying to make.

With the SoS Movie 2 script, the words just flowed. It was really easy to parady Castlevania Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia, since they had enough storyline to play with.

However, Rosenkreuzstilette has nearly zero story, just like most Megaman games.

So, I need help coming up with a script. If needed, I can post the SoS Movie 2 script, or the extremely terrible Rosenkreuzstilette script that I slapped together.

Anything goes. I'll put anything, really. Just remember that SoS Movie 2 shows my limits as a spriter. I can do more advanced stuff than that, like a full length boss fight or two, but not much more than that.

The game HAS a story - if not a good one. Darkside Translation painstakingly worked almost about year translating the game into English, if I recall correctly. Right now they're working on new update for the v1.06a patch with a better English script that they got people outside of the project to help them and this version is the implement the updates with the current version, like fixing capability issues with Windows Vista and Windows 7. However, because TrickMasterMint is handling personal, financial, and social issues on his front that has prevent him from ever doing anything involving the English patch or the Schwer and Schwer Alike blog for almost three months now and TDOMMX is busy with his job, there has been delays with the v1.06a English patch.

As of now, there's the v1.05c English patch that works with the game's re-release (or a fully patch v1.05c of the original C73 pressing), which Westerners can buy here: [link] (click "Enter" since the English version of the site has NSFW products)

Rosenkreuzstilette was originally released as a pressed disc in December of 2007. It has since been re-released as a digital download at DLsite and Melonbooks. The game costs 1,260 yen (about $13.50 US). The original pressing is relatively hard to come by, so you're better off buying the re-release (no brokerage fees, taxes, or shipping).

I didn't say that it dosen't have any story. I was saying that it dosen't have ENOUGH story to easily write a parady script with.

And having a not very good story is actually a good thing when it comes to paradies. Inconsisities in plot or bad translations are fun to poke at.

As for script, I'm not talking about the game script. I know what went into it to translate that game. I just want to make fun of the game itself, which is a combination of Megaman and Castlevania. You could call Rosenkreuzstilette itself as being a "serious parady".

And for the megaman games (the originals) really do have close to zero plot. A mad scientist is taking over the world. Stop him Megaman. The end. It's good as a game, though not as a story.

No problem. I guess I just explained my situation wrongly.

But what you said did make me remember something that I knew before, but forgot:

Rosenkreuzstilette was never released offically in the states, or even in Noth America, for that matter.

That would mean that it'd be quite an unheard of game in english speaking contries, which would mean that not many people have heard of it.

Trying to ask help on writing a parady script on it won't get me any farther then bashing my face against the key board until an idea comes out.

It isn't like Megaman, where it's so popular that there's hundreds of fanfics to rip off.

I only have three options: Give up on Rosenkreuzstilette completely, find a way to get me to get inspired to write script that's actually good, or change my Rosenkreuzstilette parady into a Megaman X parady.

Unless somebody has actual ideas on what to write, those are my only options. It's quite hard to write a script on Rosenkreuzstilette without turning a parady into a butchering. I'd have to force the jokes. I can do a "serious" parady, but that'll has a huge potential to either be an exact copy of the game in a animated form, or insanely boring.

As another note, if anyone wants me to make a parady animation (like my SoS movie 2 video) on any video game series I have access to sprites for, requests are open, if you have a script I can use.
