I never actually sat down and watched Fighting Foodons. Although I did see it on a few times; I think it was on FoxKids or whatever the channel was called.

I'm glad I never did.

I remember this back in the day. Back when there was a time I had no internet and I didn't knew about the the changes they made from the original Japanese material in the dub. I really need to watch this again in Japanese with subs...

I don't think I ever saw this on TV (we had crappy cable at the time), but man this intro is cheesy.

Agreed fully. Then again, I always preferred the Dragonball series before it got to DBZ.

Yeah, Dragonball is arguably better, in that it didn't strictly rely on power levels and who has the biggest blast. There was a much bigger emphasize on actual martial arts ability.

That's not to say I thought DBZ was bad, because I loved that as well.

Actually according to Toriyama, the purpose of introducing power levels was to show that relying on knowing power levels were completely and utterly useless.
