Let's not forget something I pointed out in the original Cafe thread...

If you adjust for inflation, the NES's launch price was the same as the PS3's.

Looking at it that way, the cost of consoles hasn't really gone up so much as the value of money has steadily gone down since the 1980s.

I know I'm usually the optimistic one, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that this concerns me.

If true, they had DAMN WELL BETTER program Cafe to stream off of storage expansions, as the 3DS does with its SD slot.  None of this "automated copying" crap that we got with the Wii.  I know Nintendo's big on durability and minimizing moving parts, but they need to do a better job of long-term storage expansions.  Period.  Recognizing a USB hard drive would be beautiful, though I doubt they'd actually do that.
