I really enjoyed that Zelda mix. Nice blending of Dark World, Tal Tal Heights, and the hint of Minish Woods was great too! :3

So here's another one I just finished from the MMZX soundtrack. Nothing's set in stone really, but I'm thinking I might just do a cover soundtrack of sorts of the game with Famitracker. Anyway, check it out!

Oh yay! More music!

I've always liked the remixes you've put out. What do you have in store for everyone next? Some more Mega Man ZX mixes? Perhaps some MMZX:Advent stuff?

Glad you like them! Actually, next up is an 8-bit version of "Whoa I'm in Space Cuba" from Mighty Swtich Force. Check out the full soundtrack if you have not yet done so. It's pretty much the [parasitic bomb].

You know, I could totally make sure virt hears this... It's pretty awesome, btw.

Thanks for the comment. Thanks for the offer, but virt has already heard it I believe. Anyway, next up is another song from ZX; Cinq Ville (Area D Highway)! Hope you enjoy it, it's a bit shorter because it doesn't loop like most of the other covers I've done.

Wow, Cinq Ville is one of my all-time fave tracks. This is great.
But, a question: can NSF's this complex run on real hardware? I'm curious.

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Woah, that sounds real nice.

My favorite track from ZX really translates well into 8-bit.

Is it possible? Yes. Plausible? Not really. I've seen some videos of people modding their NES systems to be able to playback from expansion chips, such as the one that uses the extra sound channels that I'm using, but that's just it, they're mods. As far as I know, the NES didn't allow for external sound chips like the Famicom did, so you couldn't normally be able to have music this complex on an NES. As for a Famicom, I would think it would be more plausible.

Here's an original piece I made with Famitracker. It's inspired by Nobuyuki Shioda's early music and the music of the International Superstar Soccer games (which I highly recommend you check out!).

Just thought I'd update my post with some more works that I've done over the past few months. First, I have a music reel that shows a bunch of WIPs that I have. Some are original and some are covers, including an "8-bit" cover of MMSF3's Spade Magnus. Also, I've covered Magical Tetris Challenge's "Vs. Wolf" and Nintendo Land's Main Plaza - Night theme in FamiTracker, and composed a new original in FamiTracker that was inspired by a lot of neo-prog music. Hope you enjoy!
