That's just it, we don't know a whole lot about them, period. The Cosmics were more or less a ripoff of the Shadow Mario from Super Mario Sunshine.

Even to me. But now that Cosmic Rosalina appears to have a different persona, now we need questions answered.

Is she supposed to be Rosalina in astral projection form or something?

I don't think we know what the Cosmics are. Cosmic Mario and Cosmic Luigi, then Cosmic Rosalina are different. They're similar, physically, but the Cosmic Mario Bros.' are competitive, possibly evil, whereas Cosmic Rosalina seems to be helpful or nurturing.

Whether Cosmic Rosalina is being controlled by the real Rosalina, we don't know. Cosmic Mario Bros.' sure weren't. The Cosmics may be a whole race of beings, with their own sets of personalities.

Well, this "Cosmic Witch" is gonna be your Super Guide when you're not able to go past some of the obstacles in the game.

If you ask for her assistance, you will get a Bronze Star instead of Gold Star.

Who is that Rosalina lady? ...is she a witch? >U<
lol, I remember that. You know, she does have a lot of similarities to the Good Witch of the North, including bubble transport...

I know! 0v0

It's such a great sign! I almost wonder if she'll play a part in the ending, now that they've bothered to carry the character model over.

No she goes into Mario. :\

If she's anything like Cosmic Mario, you can smack into them.

Well now, Cloud Mario and the co-op look very promising.
Woohoo, Cosmic Rosalina! At least she's present in some capacity!

I will take it! Hopefully EAD and Miyamoto have no malice towards her and would use her more actively!
...Make a new villain?

Yeah, that really panned out well.

I dunno, though, they could possibly make a villain on the same level as Andross.

Though I really refuse to believe Andross got that big/was a giant brain. I don't care what experiments he did. He's a genius; they could rewrite him as alive if they wanted to.

Did they unlock the full potential of Against the Pressure, or WHAT?! That is quite possibly the best rock videogame remix from a technical standpoint! Amazing!

Get those guys to do the soundtrack for MHX2!!! 0v0

But then what do you do?

Andrew, Pigma and even Wolf can't carry the main villain load.

WHAT

Kamiya wants STARFOX?

This just won't end without Fox ripping out Andross' eyeballs, and suggestive Krystal screenplay, I just know it... XD

8's stages are too blasted long, Bass is too easy, and the backtracking, UGH.
RnF was just a rush job. I think. Certainly near the end it was; it's evident by the King Tank fight.

But now 7 hate I just don't understand. That game plays more like a classic MM game than those above two; the only negative to MM7 is the proportions/ratios of character/hitbox/screen size, that's it.

What?

What what?

I didn't say world or universe creation, just creation or the start/origins of things in general. Perhaps origins story would be the better term.

It's an eyepatch.

Rosalina is Captain Syrup's ancestor. Polari's her parrot of sorts. 8D

I think that's where my main gripe with 3 lies because it's the start of the complete malarky of Gen 4.

In 1 and 2, there was a story, a bit dark and sinister at times. Evil organization in a Casino and puppeting a shell corporation, cutting off Slowpoke tails, graveyard, what have you. And when the story didn't explore these tangents to an otherwise perfect world, it would use the legendaries and focus on a creation story.

Then Gen 3 came along, and split Rocket into Team Magma and Aqua, which is just bloody lame. No way around it, that's just stupid. Furthermore, it told the creation story again, only now segmenting it even further among legendaries that are even MORE mediocre than regular Pokemon (save for Kyogre, whom is actually quite the statistical beast). On top of that, there were some fine designs (Tropius) mixed in with some god-awful scribbles.

And then, what I feared would happen, did. Gen 4 went down the DARKNESS AND EMOTIONS path that has been the demise of Megaman Battle Network, Megaman Starforce, and Kingdom Hearts. To add further injury to the creation story, now you've introduced beings that control TIME, SPACE/MATTER, what essentially is the GOD of Pokemon, and yet they can all have their asses handed to them. Worse, the designs throughout this game were infinitely worse. Whatever gameplay improvements there were are far overshadowed by the sheer ruination wrought by the story.

Here's hoping Gen 5 kinda gives the series a clean slate.

Gen 3? Really?

Contests and water abound?

Gen 3 was good for:
-Solidifying the combat formula
-Battle Frontier
-Menu/interface/feature fluidity
-Special effects in the course of the storyline

Take it for what it is, some it may not bother at all, other writers will pop-out 9s and 10s for anything Capcom releases this year. It's an unfortunate aspect of the video game industry but it happens everyday. As does it happen with the exclusive review debacle, if you see an "exclusive" review just go ahead and run now; I have been in this business for 8+ years and knows exactly what happens with things like that; all I can say is don't trust the reviewer (scores have been set way out before the game arrived).

Is he trying to tell us one or more of these games are going to be god-awful?

Seems awfully scathing.

You're better than me though. I'm trying (and failing horrifically) to piece together what that even more grandiose sounding Road to Bowser would sound like. I think this is the absolute best version of that theme.

Depends on how they do that chorus. Sounds really high-pitched, right now; could either be GLORIOUS or a train wreck of massive proportions.
EDIT: I listened to that part again. Sounds like they won't overdo it, but there seems to be other melody lines. Didn't train wreck, but it ain't the Koopa Road we know.

Also of note:

Climbing fences are back! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Also, lol, the Fail Rangers. Those stupid Toads are at it again! XD
And it is SMW Ghost House redone!

Oh yeah, SMG1's soundtrack might not have been worth getting on CD, but this DEFINITELY would be! Cannot wait to hear the entirety of the new Koopa Road.

First SMW Athletic reborn, now SM64 Bowser?!  0v0

And Cloud Mario.
...why didn't I think of that? Clouds are a huge part of Mario games.
EDIT: Hey, so now that he's Cloud Mario, can he do Omnislash?
