i still had no idea about what is going to be the Witty/Wendy Machine, But im sure is gonna be Insect Related.

HOLY SMOKES, its been awhile since i post here guys.

all i can say is, the project is slooooowly start to resurfacing, i still not gonna be able to make levels and test engines until i get a new PC, but in the meantime, you can check this out.

well yes guys, i am a poor bastard, my dad only gives me 50 pesos per week (less then 4 dollars), and how the hell am i supposed to make money there, and here getting a job is a pain in the ass, as here they lie to you about calling you when they have vacancy for work and they don't.

In the meantime i ask for not locking the thread just yet since i need to collect some early stuff for the future.

In the meantime i will post stuff in my sprite thread stuff when i can guys

You could... try cleaning your PC?

Nope....Did it 3 times already and it dint work, my computer is from 2001, and its only 700mhz and even i have 220MB of Memory Ram, it seems that it only uses 64MB of Memory Ram, because of it, it refuses to run the Tesserex Game Engine, seriously, and on top off that, if i do something or not, the PC lags and spasm for minutes sometimes, even by doing minimal actions such as minimizing windows or navigating certain pages etc.

you guys need to believe this, it lags incredibly when im editing on photoshop specially if i do something else, and o top of that my sister came here and uses the same computer for all day.

about the lenght of the stages, yeah i dont know why but i felt the stages in megaman games were quite short, specialy some one the ones found in megaman 2, ill try to have at least 2 areas for every stage, because one of the things that i loved about megaman 5 and 6, is that the stage do seem like they are really progressing in the sense of deep and ambiental aura, because i fell to give the stages a less closed level feeling.

as for the larger screen, well, i intent my game to have 8 way scrolling in some areas, just to have a few levels in some more emphasis on exploring if it's that possible, i know a lot of people would tell me that is not true NES limits, but i just wanted to trow some new stuff while having it look retro but still seeming fresh at the same time, in fact i want to reveal a secret :P

[spoiler]there's gonna be at least 2 metroidvania style levels and two levels when you go from right to left.[/spoilers]

but of course i accept suggestions, in fact one of the things with bothers me a bit is the making of tiles, because i want them to have an authenthic Megaman 5-6 look, not just the shading, but the form of the tiles as well, and tiles that create bagkgrounds objects, not just single tiles as single objects :P, in fact, i need to tell you guys something,

[spoiler]If it's ok if i studie the tiles for megaman's 7 & 8 FC, at least the block circuit floor tiles to have an idea how to make them properly and make them look truly megamanish, NOT triying to use those or STOLE, nor EDIT those, is just that looking at my old tilesets, THEY dont looked like they belonged in a megaman game.[/spoiler].

guys, i really need to say this now, im glad for all the support i be given with the project, even tough is little, but i cant seem to go any further right now, i really dont want to cancel the whole thing because this is one of my dreams, but i really cant stand how incredibly laggy and slow my computer is, and really it seems that for the most part, i feel alone in making the assets like tilessets and sprites, and on top on that, my computer cant run the engine for testing, so what's the point.

im sorry about this, i need to get a much better computer guys, and the truth is, i dont have a job, and because of how slow and pasmatic my machine is, i spend whole day on the computer and do little within the poject and other things, i cant stand this anymore.

please guys, forgive me for this, i also was not satisfied with the look of most of my tiles because i saw those, and they dont seem to fit a megaman game.


im sorry about this guys, i promise the project will come back not so long in the future when i get done with the things in my life, and better organize this thing, because i know that most people are already bussy with his other pojects, i really dint want to do this,  :'(m but right now the situation gave me no option.

ill still interact within the group of this forum, and i want to thank everyone who gave me support

UPDATE: hey guys after thinkin a bit more, i decided that the project is not officially canceled, but im not going to post anything unless i actually have done something that could be considered a real update, and that's not gonna happen until i get a better computer so i can translate all my assets to the engine and start working on the levels and time, in the meantime i need to work on other things and get a job guys.

so for now, the project is locked until new announcement, thanks for your attention.

well from what i understand, when something runs on fullscreen, is not actually making it bigger, but makes the video run at the same native resolution but filling the complete screen monitor, but is more like zooming out the video area as it play with uncompressed pixels, (the pixels are bigger on raw footage in fullscreen) as opossed to the video resize with actually upconverts the pixels to a more bigger resolution or in other words it renders the image to a bigger resolution that it has.


this is a little hard to explain, but try using an emulator of NES and compare with zoom windowed options, and then to use fullscreen native resolution like actual NES resolution but in fullscreen.

one question teserrex, the engine could have the option for playing in fullscreen, when i get my new PC, i could buy an adaptor to connect it to my TV so i can play it more properly and it looks great.

another question guys, i was thinkin, should i put Tamure and maker her the Boss of the Stage and change her Name to Luau Woman as opposed to Volcano, or should i keep her as an alt Boss?.

This is pretty heavily based off mm5, but if you give me a job to do I can probably make it more original to fit that given stage (seeing as this was just freehand to see if I could do mm5 style).

Ok guys, i have to say it now, i need help with the tiles graphics, while i can make them and edit them trough a certain extent, i wanted to look in the same level of detail of the Megaman 5 & 6 Tiles, cause i dont have much time to do it by myself, specially considering that i been using the same old computer that is slow as hell, and i cant run the engine to test the levels, so, in order for the project, i probably dint asked this before, but....

Who can join the project?

the only other persons who have contributed somehow are KudosForce (Story) and Nebula Black (allowed me to use some old tiles of his).

right now i need someone who can help me with the tiles, cause i dont know if hbnf2 can help me
