How about that guy running back in for the Felyne? The look on his face, haha

That thing's been popular.  I hijacked it during the end of MGS and put my hat on it for a while.

Managed to get booked on a flight going out this morning, so hopefully I'll have only missed the first day.  Fingers crossed and all that.

I'm supposed to be there, but my flight got cancelled until Wednesday. :|

Nintendo, being negligent with their online distribution?!  Perish the thought.

106
You're probably right.

Still, I don't have to like it.  It's not a bad redesign of Roll by any means, but they could've done something a lot more interesting.

Oh for [tornado fang]'s sake.  Really?

Like the game wasn't already a copyright infringement suit looking for an excuse to happen.  I think Comcept is on some shaky ground with this one.

I'm pretty sure that's her hair, and it's just the lighting making it look like a hand.

I know what you're talking about.

After some googling, it seems the most common name for them is a water snake or water tube (usually with the word "slippery" tacked onto the front).

The pigs?  Yeah.  They do more damage than Ganondorf.

It's because she voiced him in the original Dragonball anime.  They just kept her despite the fact Goku's a grown man by the time DBZ rolls around.

I hope I'm not the only one here who doesn't really give a crap who their community manager is, so long as the game gets made.

I can't even remember the relative position of the B and A buttons on a Nintendo controller half the time, and I've got like three of them sitting within arm's reach.  (Also, I hate having the A button on the far right and I'd rather it be on the bottom.)

Apparently Microsoft just waves hardware past QC when they're on a deadline.  At least the 360 was capable of reading discs out of the box, even if it red-ringed later.  But complete mechanical failure of the BD drive out of the box is a little much.

Typo.  -u-'

Though now the link doesn't work because the site appears to be down due to heavy traffic.

In a nutshell:  In the year 20XX, the entire world is under a single socialist government with food production and the like totally automated.  The government sponsors regular battle-bot tournaments to take the populace's mind off their strict law enforcement policies.  The most popular team in these tournaments is the Mighty Numbers, built by roboticist Dr. White.

During one of the tournaments, an unknown computer virus is released which infects Mighty Numbers 1-8, and they start running amok and spreading the virus all over the world.  Mighty Number 9, considered the Mighty team's weakest member, is the only one left uninfected and thus the only one capable of stopping the other Mighty Numbers from wrecking everyone's [parasitic bomb].

116
So I just read an introduction to the plot on the Mighty #9 site.

Naturally the first thing to jump out at me was the use of "20XX" and "Dr. White."

117
As proven by their "[tornado fang] off" reaction to all the intense fan rage that MML3 got cancelled.

118
Megaman is dead.  Capcom has seen to that and I can't imagine they'll ever do anything else with the franchise beyond shitty iOS games.

Mighty #9 is not Megaman, but it is a spiritual successor made by the guy most well known for creating Megaman in the first place, in the same way Bayonetta is a spiritual successor to Devil May Cry.  Take it as you will.

Can I say that I'm a fan of the traditional Metroidvania Castlevania games and the Lords of Shadow series?  Because I like 'em both for different reasons.

This isn't news.  We knew this already.

The day-one patch patches out the mandatory internet check-ins, which the console can't actually do now because Microsoft has decided against implementing it for now.  How long that'll last is anyone's guess, but--

tl;dr they told us this was going to happen months ago.

You say that as if it hasn't been pulled by major publishers on current systems.

124
Comcept.  Because at this point why bother with anyone else?

Nintendo discovers the internet, panics.  Film at 11.
