Rockman Series / Have you ever recommended anything Mega Man to anyone?
« on: September 17, 2012, 04:36:21 AM »
I like spreading out the fandom of Mega Man, getting newbies into the franchise. But 75%-80% of the time they're already fans, while other times at 20%-25% they say IT SUCKS.

But all of that is different today for I  just recently got my friend Jessie in Belgium into the series. I showed her a video of the Mega Man Maverick Hunter X OVA "The Day of Sigma", and she was just amazed.  :o Then she was like, "Man... I really like this! Awesome!",  :) then started asking me questions and I answered them. Looks like the Mega Man community/fandom has got a new fan thanks to me.

Just like have today... Have any of you here ever recommend anything that's Mega Man to anyone?

Fan Creations / Dragontamer's Project Thread
« on: April 14, 2012, 05:31:37 AM »
Seems like this is a good year for Mega Man:

* Capcom-Unity held contests and event for the franchise, maybemore to come

* Eddie Lebron made the fan film

* And the release of Mega Man Zero Collection for the Nintendo DS

And now... comes my version of the classic game and story. Mixing in real life events and the fiction of the Classic Series... coming soon 20XX(in development) EDIT: "This old comic idea is CANCELLED, I have something else in mind this year."

X / Mega Man X2 up for re-release on VC!
« on: December 05, 2011, 07:11:49 AM »
If you loved the first Mega Man X, and are waiting for the sequal, then the wait will soon be over. I found out that the next game "Mega Man X2" is going to be re-released on the Wii's Virtual Console. It will first be re-released in Japan, then America, and Europe.

The cost is too obvious, 800 Wii Points. When it does get re-released, and you do have spare 800 Wii Points, try to get it (since the Super Nintendo original cartridge is kinda rare nowadays).

I saw this idea on a blog post on Capcom-Unity... and so far, it looks okay to me, while I don't know what Tekken is...

Gaming / Why can't all games be in the same format?
« on: April 13, 2010, 07:50:44 AM »
You know, if you have or want to buy games from Japan and Europe... A.K.A "Imports", they're not in the same format as North America. Even the opposite, if people in Europe and/or Japan wants to buy American games, they're not in their formats.

For example, I wanted to buy "Probotector", a censored European version of "Contra Hard Corps", but however it cannot be played on my NA Sega Genesis, since Probotector is Mega Drive and is in the PAL format.

Not just games, but DVDs is another problem, if I wanted to travel out of the US to Japan or Europe or whatever, and I wanted to take a movie with me... it won't work because of the Regional Lockout System.

Which just goes to show, why can't everything be in the same format?

Challenge Mode / Rocket Knight Adventures HARD mode...
« on: April 01, 2010, 08:28:52 AM »
Have any of you ever played "Rocket Knight Adventures" on Sega Genesis by Konami? They have 4 difficulty settings.

Children
Easy
Normal
Hard

"Hard" mode has the most challenge. You have to play through the whole game without getting hit once... 1 hit by anything, and I do mean anything... the game if 100% over (that is if you can find extra lives). How many of your tried? For me, it's pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to get through unless you're really good.

Gaming / Favorite version/edition of Street Fighter? Any series...
« on: March 30, 2010, 08:53:50 AM »
Out of ALL the Street Fighter games, they've got SO MANY editions/version of each other. BUt what one is your favorite? If you've got more than 1 favorite, don't be afraid to list them...

My favorite is: "Street Fighter II' Special Champion Edition" on Sega Genesis.

Gaming / VG Villians
« on: March 23, 2010, 07:28:28 AM »
Sometimes games just like cartoons need a cool, mean, badass villian. Now, good guys are always cool too but sometimes the villians have to be recognized too... and oh they do. From murderous to insanely crazy... talk about these Video Game Villians, any villian.

My favorite villians follow as... Ganon/Ganondorf (Zelda), Liquid Snake (Metal Gear Solid), Dracula (Castlevania), Prometheus (MM ZX), Death (Castlevania), Dr. Weil (MM Zero), Dr. Wily (Mega Man),  Dr. Eggman/Robotnik (Sonic), Albert Wesker (Resident Evil), and Sigma (MMX)

Forum Games / "This or That" Game...
« on: March 23, 2010, 06:35:43 AM »
This game is where we take two things of choice, and the other one who replys has to choose 1. Afterwards, the posted choice must then do the same thing, ask this or that, then next reply answers... and it keeps going.

First "This or That" question to begin with...

This... "Slice of Red Velvet Cake", or That "Slice of Cherry Pie"?

ZX / What BioMetal Model would you be?
« on: March 16, 2010, 08:36:41 AM »
If you were in the world of ZX, if you had to choose ONE BioMetal Model, what one would you be?

Model X
Model Z
Model H
Model F
Model L
Model P
Model W
Model O (not official though)

My choice is being "Model P", because of night vision capabilities and being in the image of a Ninja.

Entertainment / Catchy TV theme songs.
« on: March 16, 2010, 08:31:07 AM »
Sometimes TV shows give some really catchy songs that get us hooked on the show, and afterwards the songs get stuck in our heads.

What are some of your favorite TV theme songs that are catchy? They can be from catoons or live-action shows.

* Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme
* Tiny Toon Adventures theme
* DuckTales theme
* Teen Titans theme
* Animaniacs theme
* COPS theme (Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?)
* Inspector Gadget theme
* Pinky and the Brain theme
* Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers theme
* Poke'Mon (first season, 1st generation)

22
Entertainment / SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron
« on: March 14, 2010, 08:53:49 AM »
Oh my goodness, I'm so glad I got cable that has the channel of "Boomerang". If you stay up late after midnight, at 12:30 you get to see one of the coolest cartoons that I've ever seen that somehow I overlooked... SWAT Kats.

T-Bone and Razor are a dynamic duo! I love watching these guys fly the "TurboKat" to stop the villians from either taking over or destroying "MegaKat City".

I forgot who it is but one of the characters in the show is voiced by Mark Hamill. But one villian voice takes the show, legendary voice actor Frank Welker does the voice to "Dr. Viper".

i know I'm to hyped-up about this show, but I love it. Only thing is there about only 25 or so episodes, but they need to be re-released on DVD.

Aside from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Biker Mice from Mars, and Sonic the Hedgehog; SWAT Kats is a fine example of the art style of "Anthropomorphic".

23
Off The Wall / Art tools, what do you use?
« on: March 14, 2010, 08:45:07 AM »
I use pencils, and colored pencils. And also rulers to make straight lines.

I wish I had other art options, but I ain't got the money. Like Photoshop, it's too freakin' expensive. Oil Paint, I'm a mess at. I don't use markers very much. etc

So, I'd just stick to the Colored Pencils.

24

#6: Malard Duck
#7: Snowy Owl
#8: Kangaroo
#9: Orangitun (is that spelled right)
#10: Chestnut Horse
