They fixed the chain rod glitches in Z2 >.> oh and they messed up Elpis' sprite (when he looks down) making it look really wierd... other than that I'm liking this collection.

Original / Re: Megaman 9 vs Megaman 10's music
« on: March 15, 2010, 06:47:20 PM »
Though choice, especially since I haven't actually played 10 yet.

First off, Solarman's theme kicks all kind of ass, much like MM9's Flash in the dark, we're the robots and Maze of Death.
Then there's stage select, game start, weapon get and victory...10 completely owns 9 out of the water there.
Special stage 1 alone beats 9's Special Stage brainless, it really helps that I love the original theme I guess.
Endless on 10 sounds pretty good, but it's not instantgodrapewin like Maze of Death.

10's Title music is a big downer, it can in NO WAY IN HELL compete with 9...or pretty much any other classic MM (save for MM&B's title, wich was crap) 9 has the same power and vibe that I love in MM4 and 5 title themes.
I'm having trouble deciding wich has better Wily stage music, since both have some pretty damn awesome tracks...
Deciding between boss/wily battle themes is easy because 9's single Wily boss battle kicks BOTH of 10's ass, 9's regular boss battle is also alot more powerfull than 10's but 10 has a loomy dark feel, so that's a closer call.
(Don't misunderstand me, I like 10's Wily battles, but 9's just has that Final Battle feeling)

Overall, the regular stage music is on equal standing, tho 9 has an edge due to me disliking only 1 song (Jewel temptation)
against 10's Commando & Pumpman songs wich I don't really do it for me...Also, Strikeman's theme was building awesome power until I heard the "sports theme music"...I mean I know it's a baseball field and all, but it was a major moodkiller for me.

I'm voting 9 because overall I still think that it's stronger, due to the only downers being the stage select, the reused themes (except Wily Castle, because that is too good to argue with) and Jewelmans theme, but it's a close call since 10 only has a few downers too...and Weapon Get, Special Stage 1 and Solar man more than make up for it.

Gravityman's music deranged?

it's one of the most original stage bgms in the NES MM era (and one of my personal favorites)

As for 10's music so far, it sounds good, Pump it up mans theme sounds very fitting, Chill mans somehow reminds me of Starforce2 and Blademan is just downright godlike

Great game, horribly overrated.

My favorite Metroid is Super, but rivalled by the first Prime.
Zero Mission and Echoes are honorary mentions, since I enjoy them more than any other Metroid, save my favs.

Echoes seems to be disliked most...strange, I found that game 10 million times more fun than corruption.
Corruption was boring, and easy. there was some good music tho, and it does have the best cutscenes in MP.

but seriously people, Emperor Ing Battle 2 or GTFO.

Lucky me for buying all four Rockman Zero games on GBA already.

Same here. I still need Z1's box/booklet tho >.>

OH AND I AM SO [tornado fang]ing BUYING THIS! Beats the crap out of having to carry all those cartridges with me everywhere.

I'm so happy now, first MM10, now this, now I just have to buy a DSi (for shoulder button)
Also, I'm hoping button customization includes putting jump on B and attack on Y, or better yet, make it like they did in ZX, attack option B and Y&B as standard! (showing they actually payed attention to how and what.)

fat people. oh wait, little things >.>

little things:
-when you're talking to someone and he/she will dodge a question, even when asked repetitively.
-when people talk so much that you can't even reply.
-when people actively sidetrack into subjects that are not even remotely relevant to the subject you were initially talking about.

EXE / Re: Loose ends and plot holes

-Wily in EXE 5 then 6. Okay so he makes his son better and not so evil, then he turns around and tries to destroy the earth again. That makes no sense.

How does that NOT make sense? Haven't you been paying attention? Dr.Wily always turns on those he helps.
Seriously, what kind of Megaman have you been playing all these years :P

Serenade should have been brought back, he/she was hot.

X / Re: What do you want to see in X9?
« on: December 24, 2009, 06:07:04 PM »
Lex Steele as the new "sigma", with a bigger lightsaber.

Oh and most definately New Game Plus.
I also would like the sound team of X1, they don't have to use SFC sound or anything, but I would really like to hear something from those composers again, since I haven't heard anything from them since X1.
And it should play like the SNES games, as in fluid dashing jumping etc, it's what X4~X6 did wrong and Z1~ZXA did right.

I can't find the pic right now, but I have a pretty good depiction of what X's body looks like here in my MMZOCW, it shows X close up contained in Yggdrasil, I'm sure somebody has it.

Gaming / Re: GoldenEye 007 - The first (only?) FPS game I've ever played
« on: December 18, 2009, 01:40:10 AM »
I'm not an FPS fan, but Goldeneye and PD were ones I enjoyed. The Metroid Primes as well, but they're "FPA"s, apparently.

Same here, I don't know why, but these titles just have something that seperates them from the regular bullcrap shooters we get forcefed these days, not that I'm a big FPS man, but I do play matches with friends.
The areas, the weapons (hello RCP90, Laptop Gun, Avenger) the cutscenes...when I look at stuff like CoDMW2 or Halo, the only thing that goes through my mind is "REALLY? that's it? this is what does it for people?".

And that's where Metroid Prime rears it's head, with awesome stage design (barring corruption), music and gameplay setting it so high above other shooting games. I have an orgasm everytime I hear the credits music from Prime1.
It's like Super Metroid but in 3D.

When I listen to the music in nowadays shooters, I am just shocked, what [tornado fang]ing crap is that!?
There is nothing, at least not for me, that is memorable about these new shooters, where I can sing like 20 different songs from 007/PD from the top of my head. so what if the graphics are less, at least N64 shooters had personality!

I AM TUROK :P sorry I just remembered how much fun I had shouting that, I played a little too much Turok2 back in the day (with cheats, because I sucked XD)

Already have both, and yes, they're [tornado fang]ing awesome, it's what you've been waiting for.

Original / Re: MegaMan 10 - More Playable Blues
« on: December 18, 2009, 12:53:15 AM »
MM11 BETTER be 16-bit, in the style of MM&B. I don't care what anybody says. The world has ENOUGH 8-bit Mega Man.

Wrong, there's no such thing as enough 8-bit MM.
Leave the SFC/PSX graphics to X9 >.> (or screw old graphics alltogether for X and make the most beautiful 2d X game ever...)

Commandoman - in the screenshots looks like he's performing a ground crush move ala Guts/Hard/ConcreteMan.
Mareep looks like fun to fight, hovering, splitting and thunderbolts and whatnot, I'm very curious about that Thunder Wool.

While MM10 is no ZX3, I'm still super excited about this, as I so love 8bit.

Zero / Re: What is the Elpis TK series?
« on: December 16, 2009, 01:58:27 AM »
There are at least 30 Elpizo clones running around Neo Arcadia somewhere.

The real question is, why would someone want a harem of girly boy robots?

Because Fafnir has more gay tendencies than we are shown?
Fafnir likes to pound girlyboy ass.
I'm so drawing Fafnir surrounded by TK01~whatnot XD

but after reading some posts on the something called the Elpis TK31, I am inclined to believe it is something more. Can someone tell me what it is?

I am the Elpis TK31  [eyebrow] lol

Related, TK31 = Tsutomu Kashiwakura + birth month&day.
(could be coincidental, but I like to think it isn't)

ZX / Re: ZX Cameos

Oh so that's what it's supposed to be, I always thought Titan sounded wierd, but never looked into it.
Thanks for the clarification ^^

ZX / Re: ZX Cameos
« on: November 27, 2009, 05:34:57 PM »
Yes, Utoboros move in a pattern towards their own ass, wich makes sense, since they too are a reference to the mythological Ouroboros/Uroboros.

Some other nice cameo info:
-ZX's rematch with the Z3 bosses, with HX can see their humanoid forms on the Livemetal screen.
-ZX, Each LM combo has a chargeshot similar to an attack in X1, HX has charged Storm Tornado, FX has charged Fire Wave, LX has charged shotgun Ice and PX has charged Rolling Shield.
-ZX, Lavadevil, obvious Devil series reference (1, 3, X5, Z1, Z2)

15. During the obtain the plant for the room mini mission, one of the plants you can choose is the snip snip plant from Z4.
16. The theme that plays when Model W awakens is a re arranged version of "Fate" the theme of Dr. Weil. In fact, the beggining part loops for the Boss entrances, so as to not continue onto the melody itself.

19. After defeating Atlas, you have to smash a wall made of what the raider describes as being Ceratanium,  The the same material used in Megaman Zero 4 to make chips.
[/quote]

15 is not from ZX but from ZXA >.>
16 fate remix is so obvious, like "Babel Tower" wich is also a remix of Fate.
19 Ceramical Titan, Hardman was made of it (see RM&F)

those "sea serpents" are called Utoboros, wich is one letter away from the final area of ZXA.

Actually, I meant boring in the sense that it's just equipping armor, having about 3 or 4 ginseng potions and just let him have it, If I had no potions on the other hand, it would have been hellishly hard, I agree.

The only real problem I discovered is that using Charge Shots on the 'winged' form is about as useful as dick.
he will simply phase away (dark sprite in wich he can't be hit), and then there is one more thing,
the 'skull' form, while not extremely hard to deal with, you just miss ALOT (due to up and down movement of boss).
(My flow of thoughts went something like this: "come here maggot" and "suck it DOWN!" and "Oh better use a Ginseng" and finally "lolwut?" )

Easy, with Ginsengs, yes, boring, yes, why? because you just move around a little and let him have it, and when health drops low,
you whip out an E-can. Without Ginsengs (I don't know if anyone has done this) this battle would be very interesting, since then it would actually be a challenge, or at least the intensity (and thus statisfaction) would be much greater.

Maybe I'll try this idea sometime, but now I have a little mermaid (gameboy) that wants it in the face.
