I didnt want to necrobump the "betas, trials, scrapped projects and promos" thread.

I love both themes, but I like the beta version better. I suppose it didnt give off the "cyber space maze" feeling.

Well, I like the Beta version, but it doesn't sound quite like a stage theme somehow; lacks a solid rhythm, I think.

Originally, it was ripped from the X Command Mission PS2 disc, because there was X8 demo inside.

This beta track is many years old. ^^;

I'm actually glad they changed it.  While I love X8's soundtrack, it does suffer samey instruments throughout much of it.  The final version of Primrose adds some much-needed variety.

Agreed with Hyper. That's probably what turns me off a bit from X8's soundtrack. Most of the tracks have the exact same instrumentation and eventually just end up sounding the same.

That said, the beta reminds me of something I might hear in the Sonic Adventures.
