It's alright. Genetically enhanced humans will be smalltime when robots rebel against mankind.

Or a lifeless lump of inbred braindead meat.
Not really how genetics works, sorry. Even if two clones of the same person did manage to have a child, it would still be as genetically different as any of child is from their parents. Mutation will occur and different genes will become active, while others turn inactive.

it would still have extra chromosomes though, since having a child witha  clone would be almost like having one with a sister, and that usually ends out bad too.
but hey, safety kiddies, safety.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Hmm, I could make a gender clone of myself, then I could hold the planet for hostage using my double explosion, hurtling a star bigger than the sun at earth, or I could just do that when you guys start having a war on clones, just to show you i could have killed ALL your fighting in one flick of the star.

on another note: EARTH WARS: THE CLONE WARS

I was exaggerating for comedic effect, but I'm sure you agree inbreeding is a very real thing, cloning or otherwise.

Still shares similar DNA. Its still related to you by blood. no matter the minor differences caused by Genderbending.

You're pretty good at this.

Extra chromosomes happens only when the genetic material in a reproductive cell did not properly replicate. Reproducing with someone directly-related to you isn't involved.

You are right, however, about how reproducing with someone with very little genetic diversity from your own could be dangerous. Keep in mind, though, that the human population about 10,000 years ago was bottlenecked genetically after humans almost went extinct. Compared to other species, humans are very closely related. In fact, someone in the United States only is genetically different from someone in Africa and Asia for them to be considered genetic siblings. That means we're all very genetically similar, to the point where reproducing with your sister versus a complete stranger makes very little difference in the longterm. Just something to think about.

Are we still talking about cloning and genetic engineering or is it all about incest now?

This pretty much
